Marquessa Lycoris Hawkmour
By understanding the nuances of the world around you and how to survive the temptations, you can rule anything. Even yourself.
Description: Lycoris is painted in earthy, warm colors and her chartreuse almondine eyes are by far her most striking feature; their gaze enigmatic and nearly always engaged in a come-hither stare. The rest of her exotic features are built on a symmetrical heart shaped foundation and can best be described as regal; with noble cheekbones and a pert aristocratic nose. At the corners of her sultry mouth, a devious quirk lingers, threatening to break into a smile but rarely do they ever. She is graceful of limb and toned of physique, not lacking in the beguiling curves of a woman. Her flawless skin has been gently kissed by the sun, coupled with deep toffee-colored tresses that cascade down her back in loose, effortless waves.
Personality: Lycoris is a generally quiet and contemplative sort in public. Outwardly pleasant, she hides a deeply cynical and pragmatic personality and given the right circumstances she can also be fiercely loyal and caring. She prefers to think before acting, remaining a sea of calm in the eye of the storm. She is by no means cold; on the contrary her emotions tend to burn red hot and passionate given the right motivation even though her outward appearance suggests differently.
Background: Born a bastard of Tiberio Pravus, the Sword of Setarco and another Lady just three years prior to Lucrezia, her life was spent between the sea and Setarco. Luxury was the highlight of her young life and even at a young age was intrigued with matters of fashion and the Court.
When her father was poisoned, all that changed and her mother spirited her away to foster under her wings, elsewhere.
When she resurfaced a number of years later, it was to announce her courtship to Marquis Duncan Hawkmour. A political match undoubtedly, and since the Hawkmour family was vastly under-represented in Arx Lycoris moved straight away to Arx to manage the family's affairs in such a tumultuous time.
Name | Summary |
Aethan | Rightly concerned with returns on investment. |
Ajax | A prim an' proper sort of lady, seems nice. I wonder what splashes she'll make into the city. Maybe it'll be profitable for me. |
Ann | Boy, doesn't she have expensive taste! That means to me she knows what she likes and her attitude says she knows how to get it. Intimidating but in an exciting way. I'm sure we'll be great friends. |
Braden | A ball of furs from the south? I will have to wait till summer maybe, but I am sure she is just as lovely as any other southern woman, if not more so. |
Domonico | A new Hawkmour and one that believes in the more fantastical creatures in the world. A commendable attitude. |
Giulio | Young for her duties, but, she seems to have some talent with such affairs. |
Gretchen | She has a keen mind and asks great, searching questions. She's not put off by pretty answers and keeps pushing. Admirable. |
Harlex | Remarkably beautiful. Easy way to catch a wolf's eye. I'll sniff her out again, most likely. |
Lora | My cousin's wife is not at all what I expected and yet more than I could have hoped. She has a clever mind. I look forward to getting to know her more; we are, after all, family now, and our goals so very similar. |
Lorenzo | A charming woman I met at a party. She has only recently arrived in Arx, and I hope we will have the chance to meet up soon for a quiet talk. |
Martino | A graceful, and very shrewd, Marquessa of Hawkmour. Truly, I shall be looking forward to seeing her diplomatic skills on offer. Excellent host to - clearly knows how the Lysceum works. |
Mirk | An opinionated Lycene lady. She seems friendly enough, but don't get started on the subject of marriage. I much prefer the topic of spirits and dreams, instead. |
Saro | A shambling bundle of rabbit fur who turns out to be a Lycene! I think she has the right idea, honestly. |
Willow | Absolutely beautiful necklace and a smile to match it. The narrative of the details involved in wedding planning make me see why some choose to elope though! |
