Myira Corsetina
Yes, your ladyship. I heard the most interesting thing in the market this morning...
Description: By all appearance, a dark, slender girl in her early twenties or late teenage years. Her skin is a bronze color that's seems made to stand out all the more against the stark, stark black of her hair. Her wair is naturally wavey, thick and dark and is typically put back into a neat braid at the back of her hair in order to keep it out of her eyes. Her features are aquilline, adding to the dramatic appearance of the girl. Her eyes are themselves a pale green, peering from under long lashes at the world around her. The slope of her neck leads into the delicate angles of her shoulders and on downwards. While she tends more towards the lanky, awkward side of things, Myira has the air and simple grace of a confident woman more often than not. She moves with delicate purpose and often with quiet tread--a good servant should not be seen OR heard, after all.
Personality: Fierce and fiery in her youth, Myira has learned to temper her passion with patience. While she is still the type of person to speak her mind without much hesitation, she is much more politic about when and where to voice her opinion. She knows the value of a good servant and keeps an open ear and open eye--even if she doesn't tell anyone what she knows, it's important to be aware of everything going on in a house, from the latest gossip to what her ladyship wants for supper. Loyal and hardworking, she devotes herself to her employer with the doggedness one might expect of a knight swearing an oath. Her lady's position is HER position and if she can help her lady climb a little higher or step on the toes of her enemies, then Myira will do it.
Background: Born of common stock, Myira spent a good deal of her youth with her family in the south, learning to keep a house, to cook and clean, to sea and mend and every other thing she'd need to be a good wife one day. But being a good wife and settling down to have a husband and children didn't sit well with the girl. So at the age of 17 she left her home and fled to the capital of Arx where she went into service, first working as a house maid and then a lady's maid for a merchant's family. It was only recently that she came into what she considers the most gracious of circumstances--being a maid for the Lady Isolde Velenosa. This is her chance to truly prove her worth and to perhaps move up in the world. She cares for her family, of course, but she left them behind when she came north. If she never sees them again, it doesn't bother her. Much.
