Lord Ignacio Fidante
There is a fire in my soul and I cannot deny the call that draws me into the flames.
Description: A handsome man with an air of sophistication, Ignacio exhibits practiced perfection in almost every aspect of his life. His dark hair is meticulously groomed and he is always clean shaven. It is a rare day when a shadow of stubble appears on his cheeks. He is tall and broad, his body honed from a lifetime of fighting, and his hands are thick and calloused from years of riding. He is the epitome of a knight and chivalrous to a fault. One might mistake him at first for a knight of the Oathlands, but his smile is quick and mischievous and his expressive eyes seem to hold onto a dark secret that makes him all the more alluring.
Personality: Ignacio is a man of composure who takes care in arranging all aspects of his life with control. Some might say he is a bit obsessive in his practice but it does not affect his life or the lives of those around him. He prefers to have things neat and orderly but will not fly off the handle if a book is out of place. He will simply put the book back where it belongs regardless of who moved it. There is no need to become heated over trivial things. His easy going nature is sometimes at odds with the side of him that craves order and symmetry. He is quick to laugh, quick to share a joke or two and doesn't turn down a drink. He will not however drink to excess. Moderation in everything; even moderation.
Background: The Citadel of Tor is home to many, many Fidantes, most of whom grow up together as brothers and sisters and regarded one another as such despite being cousins. Ignacio was for a lack of better words, a wild child. He could never sit still long enough to take his academic lessons seriously and longed for the moments when he could be training with his sword. He craved physical activity from the moment his feet touched the ground until he passed out for the evening. In between those times, when he grew bored, he was a master of practical jokes and pranks. No one was safe from Ignacio Fidante. From tacks on his professors chairs to toads in his beloved sibling and cousins beds, to buckets of water teetering on tops of doors waiting for some poor unlucky person to cross the threshold. His name was often yelled in anger throughout the halls.
As he grew a bit older, jokes turned to magic tricks in order to woo the girls, but he was still a clown at heart. His room was always a mess, he could never keep things straight. He had trouble concentrating and when he became frustrated, Ignacio would be very quick to anger. He also developed something of a nasty temper and was caught more than once starting brawls in the classroom until the Fidante's sword instructor took the young, fiery Ignacio under his wing. The physical practice of mastering the sword and studying warfare is what ultimately saved Ignacio from himself. No one knows for certain what the Instructor did to produce such an impressive turn around, but Ignacio's family was grateful their son found some order in his life.
Ignacio remained in Tor while Leo and Dante went off to train in the Oathlands but when his cousins returned, Ignacio was more than ready to fight alongside his family for Fidante Honor against Lucien Malvici and the evils that attempted to take over Tor. When Lucien was defeated, Leo became Duke and Dante was named Sword of Tor. Ignacio was also gifted with a title of Knight-Captain of the order of The Knights of Roses, the elite house guards for House Fidante. For years, Ignacio has spearheaded the Knights in Tor and remained behind when Leo and Calista traveled to Arx. As the Arx came under threat and the leadership of House Fidante spent more and more time away from Tor, Ignacio assisted as the political liaison for his cousins in Arx and the Fidante family home in Tor, often sending correspondence and keeping both Leo and Calista informed of situations in Tor.
Ignacio and his sister have since arrived to Arx to assist the new Duchess in her role, offer the moral and emotional support Calista might need since Leo's disappearance. Ignacio deeply regrets he missed the end of the Siege of Arx, while he was focusing on the defense of Tor, and now has come to lead the Knights of Roses here in Arx. There is so much opportunity. One only needs to be bold enough to seize it.
