Lady Isabetta Gilden
Tch. You talk too much, yet say so little.
Description: Startling blue eyes and amber blonde hair give Isabetta the kind of appearance fit for a predatory beauty such as she. With hairdos that often start the day stylish and refined, they steadily decline into mussed locks when upset by her activities. While not the tallest, she has an advantage of height thanks to her long, athletic legs built for running and dancing. Not the quickest to smile either, it's a rare pleasure to catch sight of Isabetta's fully formed grin lighting up her otherwise regal, tanned features.
Personality: Refined, cultured. Isabetta is still a child of the outdoors, comfortable dragging herself to the mud if need be in order to catch a criminal on the run, but one that has no problem enjoying the fine things that the Lyceum has to offer. After all, there is no law saying one pleasure should exclude the other, is there? She truly revels in the thrill of the hunt. She prefers humans as her prey, for they make a more interesting target, but any kind of hunt would do. She is not very patient with others, and is not one to offer elaborate speeches when communicating. She values brevity in word, and show in action. She might come across as aloof, but when bonds have been formed, she is loyal to a fault.
Background: Since very young, Arianna's older sister made it very clear she had no desire to inherit. Isabetta didn't wish to lead, she wished to experience life. When they were both young, they used to engage in mock swordfights and terrorize the maids, and Isabetta was always a little stronger, a little better at climbing those trees. Then Arianna's health began to decline, and Isabetta found herself without a partner in crime when it came to her adventures outdoors, but with as much interest in exploring the wild lands around Caith.
Growing up did nothing to settle this appetite, but it did expose her to a number of other comforts that she came to enjoy just as much. She spent a number of her teenager years in Lenosia, learning etiquette and refinement with members of the Velenosa family. Diplomacy never became a good subject for her, with her tongue just being a little too sharp at times but she did establish strong bonds, in particular with the heir to the Velenosa throne, Esera. They became good friends, even if she often delighted in terrorizing that boy, Talen, just to see Esera fawn all over him.
When she returned to Caith after her studies and time with the Velenosa family, she became the Mistress of the Hunt under Baroness Alessandra, and after her disappearance and that of her guards, she was instrumental in helping rebuild the Gilden House Guard, dedicating her life to hunting down criminals that tried to use the chaos of those time to escape into the lands around Caith.
The awakening of things of myth, the threats the Compact is facing and the recent death of her friend, the Great Duchess Esera have led her to Arx, where perhaps she can understand better what happened to her dear friend.
