"Make sure the rosemary is pruned tomorrow morning," Medeia might be heard saying to one of the apprentice physicians as guests begin to enter the Medicinal Gardens for the open house. Several members of the guild are stationed around the garden to answer questions anyone might have as they walk through, and another section has been arranged with tables and refreshments for conversation. As people enter, Medeia looks up from giving instructions ro offer a warm and welcoming smile. "Hello, thank you for coming! Please feel free to begin by simply walking around or by getting a drink and something to eat. I will be providing more information as the evening goes on."

Eirene wore her OFFICIAL ROBES for this. So it's important enough for her to shed her leather coat and wear the white aeterna with the Guild's crest on the breast. "I think the city's in a bit of a tizzy over the latest shit, so it may be a quiet turnout."

Like everyone else in the guild, Thea too is in her offical robes. Because business calls for it. She agrees with Eirene, looking to Medeia,"You know people are going to want to aide and learn where they can..."

Medeia is /not/ in her official robes, instead opting for a summer-friendly and Lycene-hostess-appropriate outfit. Surely no one will yell at her for wearing atarlight silk in the garden she helps maintain. Right?

She gives Eirene a faint smile. "I had rather hoped that exact tizzy might draw some people out to be reassured that we are prepared to take care of them." She nods to Thea. "But if it is quiet, we can trust that people are taking their own preparations seriously."

Titania walks out into the Medical garden, her hair is pulled up onto her head all braided back and then cascades down her back i n a pony tail. She is dressed in leathers with a sword on her hip. Her ocean blue eyes look to those who are here, "Hello." she says softly.

Eirene says, "So I had a chat with Azova last night." She grins at the mention of the Mercy. "We're in agreement the Solace should be a primary fallback place for protection and healing. We can't defend the Grace anywhere near as we"

Eirene says, "So I had a chat with Azova last night." She grins at the mention of the Mercy. "We're in agreement the Solace should be a primary fallback place for protection and healing. We can't defend the Grace anywhere near as well. Hey Titania..."

Thea nods,"I think i makes more sense." There's a nod of greeting to Titania as well. "Hello..."

Titania smiles, "Eirene, did Felix find his way to speak with you?" she hopes so he said he was going too! She looks to Thea nodding her head, "Hello, Lady Medeia." she smiles.

"Lady Titania, welcome," Medeia says to the new arrival. Then she's looking to Eirene. "Oh? That is good. How is she? I have not seen her in... Over a year now, I think, not since I was kidnapped off Redreef Shores and her brother showed his true colors." The lady grimaces slightly.

"Not yet," Eirene replies to Titania. "But Azova's the Mercy in charge, so what she wants to do with the House of Solace is pretty much final as far as we're concerned. If someone says no, we'll deal." She grins at Medeia but it fades at the other woman's discomfort. "She's fine. Preparing, as we all are. We went over one another's inventories to ensure everything we can stock up on is ready."

Titania nods her head, "Alright, as long as you were able to get a answer." she looks between Eirene and Medeia, "I once learned under you Eirene, I like to pick up my training again."

Medeia nods at Eirene's update. "Good. I should send her a note. Just saying hello." Talk of preparations has her looking around carefully before she tells the other women, "I have moved fully out of the Sanctuary. It seemed unfair to spread Saik's resources to protect me on the other side of the city. Everything - my library, my apothecary goods, cuttings from the garden - has been sent to the Tower. My intention is for the end of summer to see the garden there fully harvested so that I can make medicines and stock the hospital. I may bring some transplants here."

Eirene motions to Medeia. "Deia's the one hosting the training classes tonight. Unfortunately my duties preparing the Grayson District have me busy as a fuckin' bee in a flower patch," she tells Titania. "I've not got any time to ttake someone one, unfortunately." She nods to Medeia's mention of the plants. "The more stock we have, the better, doesn't mattaer what."

Titania nods her head, "I understand Eirene." she looks to Medeia, "Lady Medeia, if you would. I would like to continue my training." she says in a oft tone.

Medeia briefly pauses to read a note delivered by messenger and give a discreet verbal reply before turning back to face Titania with a smile. "My lady, I would be honored to have you as a student of mine. Do you wish to join the Guild? It is not a requirement, but we would gladly welcome you."

Thea is listening to the others chat for the time being. Comfortable.

2 Valardin Knights, Renault the squire arrive, following Lenard.

Medeia and the other noblewomen are near the refreshments. The Saik lady turns from the conversation to ask for a glass of wine to be poured for herself during a break in the conversation. Around the garden are several apprentices ready to discuss the garden and the guild.

Eirene says, "What do you think... Should we set guards on this place for our own safety? A first line of defense so we can try to evacuate the patients should shit well and truly go down? I don't see this being a target but Helena's a cold hearted asswipe so she might target a hospital."

Among the quiet conversations unfolding and amidst the bevy of robes strides Prince Lenard Valardin. His eyes wander for a moment, taking in the herbs in their orderly rows and other plants circled by garlic. The latter seems to draw a curious tilt of Lenard's head, but he does not dwell on it for long. Looking ahead he continues into the stone walled garden with his own escort trailing at his flanks and his own squire moving at his elbow. As he draws nearer to the congregation within the garden, that escort drifts back to watch from afar.

Lenard offers a precise bow of greeting to the assortment of noblewomen of one stripe or another. When his posture corrects itself, Prince Lenard's smile thrusts itself forward as he speaks up in a rich, strong voice, "I do apologize for being late!" He says with genuine apology ringing in his voice, "I do hope I've not missed the most important parts. How much of a good herb makes it a fatal herb, for example?" The question seems serious.

Titania nods her head, "I would like to be part of the guild yes." she smiles as she looks to Eirene and then Lenard as he comes in nodding her head. "I thank you, Lady medeia."

"It depends on the plant," Medeia says without preamble to Lenard when his question is posed. She gives him a bright, friendly smile and a polite curtsy. "Your Highness, it has been terribly long since last I saw you, and I am glad - even if the circumstances are unpleasant - that we have had the chance to exchange letters recently. Welcome to the Medicinal Gardens. Do you know Guildmaster Eirene Riven, Master Physician Thea Wyvernheart, and...," She gives a bigger smile to Titania, "Our newest apprentice, Lady Titania Kennex?"

Thea offers a bow of her head to Lenard. "Pleasure to meet you,"though there's a lift of her eyebrow at the question.

To Eirene, Medeia adds, "Guard would not be the worst idea."

Eirene claps for Titania as the woman makes it official. "Excellent, welcome to the guild. Just in time for trouble," she jokes dryly. "And that's an odd... well, anything can make you O.D. if you take too much. What herb were you thinking of?"

Thea winks at Titania aside. "Welcome to the guild."

"So too much of a good thing can be a bad thing, I understand," Lenard offers in reply to both Medeia and Eirene's answers. Then he likely looks to offer some explanation for the inquiry, "It's probably best that I don't be the one to administer remedies then. I will happily shield those who make themselves vulnerable to do so."

There's a clearing of his throat and Lenard settles back to listen and learn while he's present. He does, however, sketch a brief dip of his chin toward both Thea and Titania after their own. His initial question asked and answered, now it seems that Prince Lenard is prepared to trail along with the tour and keep his mind open to instruction.

Titania nods her head, "Thank you." she smiles and looks to Lenard, "Your highness, it is a pleasure to meet you." she is dresse din leathers with a sword on her hip. Her hands rest in front of her she has a soft sing song voice and a calm about her.

Medeia laughs softly. "Yes, there can be too much of a good thing." Her eyes crinkle slightly as she smiles, and she nods to his comment on shielding. "Those who can provide a sturdy shield are always appreciated, Your Highness. I would be happy to speak with you more about the potential needs of the guild and hospital along those lines." Along the tour, various pieces of information are shared about which plants might be used for a poultice versus a tincture, which for pain and which for fending off pests. One of the apprentices is tending a sad looking orange flower. "Ah, sun bride. It needs more sun," Medeia informs the apprentice. "Place it over there."

"It never hurts to learn the basics of first aide," Eirene ttells Lenard. "Where to press on a wound, how hard, how long to give a Sailor's kiss... all that can save a life and is pretty basic."

While he follows along, one arm slips down to rest across the low of his back. Meanwhile his other arm rests at his side, free to reach for the blade worn high on his opposite side. Despite the finery of his circlet; judging by the squire carrying a helm, it seems that one of the Dragons of the Oathlands seems ready to march into battle at any moment. Prince Lenard's green eyes dance first toward Titania, whom he offers a soft smile and a polite dip of his chin, "And it is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Titania. And all of you, truly," he offers to the gathering as a whole with a smile practically warm enough to push away the crisp autumn air.

To Medeia and Eirene the young prince offers an appreciative bow of his chin before he answers each in turn, "Of course, Lady Medeia, I would be joyed to discuss how I may provide some measure of aid," and then to Eirene he concludes, "You make a fine point. In a pinch, even rudimentary skills can mean the difference between life and death."

It is then that the squire steps forward, the helmet between his hands and he offers a quiet utterance to Prince Lenard's shoulder that begins with a simple, 'Your Highness,' before the rest of what he has to say is lost in quiet murmurings.

By the end of it, Lenard's expression shifts from casual warmth to an apologetic frown before he turns his attention back to the tour and the guides of it, "I do apologize, I must step away. Hopefully briefly. You will hear from me again," he promises.

Medeia gives Lenard bow of her head when he needs to make his exit. "Simply send word when you are available," she tells him, her smile reassuring that there are no hard feelings over his short time at the event. "It was a pleasure to see you."

2 Valardin Knights, Renault the squire leave, following Lenard.

Eirene says, "I'd ask who the stick is, but I'm asuming a Valardin?" She arches her eyebrows curiously as she watches Lenard depart. "What a weird question."

Cufre groans, shielding her eyes from even the small, localized light as she enters the evening gathering. Her hand remains over her brow as she looks across those gathered to find...ah! She makes her way to Medeia and when she is close enough, there's a notable squint in her eyes. She draws out her skirt with her free hand, barely bobbing a curtsey. "Scuse me, my lady. The clinic is crowded so I thought to find you. Sorry, but do you have something that might help ease a headache? It's a fierce one."

"Prince Lenard Valardin," Medeia confirms to Eirene, but her attention is pulled to Cufre quickly and she has a deep look of concern by the time the woman reaches her. "Cufre, are you alright?" The question bout a headache remedy has her pressing her lips thin. "Of course. Have a seat. Let me get you some tea, I will have an apprentice collect a salve." Then she's insisting, by way of leading, that Cufre sit. "Lady Titania, will you go with Orson," One of the apprentices stwps forward, "to gather the calendula salve?"

Titania looks as Lenard leaves, she looks to the others. "That was my first time meeting him, I believe." she says softly. Her eyes look to Curfew then nods her head, "Yes of course." she turns to go with Orson to get the salve.

Chances are, Thea will be here, listening and commenting here and there. She swears it.

Rocco, the rascally assistant leaves, following Thea.

"Leaps better than I was, my lady," Cufre says through her wince. "Brought me to my knees, at first," she admits. She's taken the seat by now, talking more to herself when she says, "It was the strangest thing..."

"Strange?" Eirene echoes the word. "You want to tell us how it happened? Do you often get these headaches?"

Cufre shakes her head, then hisses inward through clenched teeth. "No," is all she can seem to manage for a bit, her eyes closed, her fingers pressed to her temples. A few controlled breaths later, she elaborates. "No, just the one time before. This time... what I saw wasn't crowns but plants. People and plants."

Medeia frowns but is quiet while Eirene asks her question. Then she frowns even more deeply when when Cufre mentions sewing people and plants. "Cufre..." She drops her voice to nearly a whisper. "Did you experience a vision?" Then she's looking around in concern. "Should we go somewhere more private?"

Titania comes back out with the salve, "Lady Medeia, here." she says looking to Cufre with a worried look.

"Plants? Yeah, did you see Helena?" Eirene seems concerned both for their patient AND the subject matter.

"I don't know what it was," Cufre says to Medeia, "I just want this ringing in my head gone." But then Eirene asks about what was seen, too, so she adds, "No, no. I don't know... It was a garden, full of people. Elves. I was their sister. I think that's what all of them called me. And I was working on my plants. My babies, and what they might do."

Medeia accepts the salve from Titania with murmured thanks and opens the jar. It smells... Green. She gently strokes back Cufre's hair so that the salve can be applied to precisely the spot that hurts. She's careful not to just leave gobs in the woman's hair. Meanwhile, another apprentice has brought a cup of tea over. There are no questions from the Saik lady just now, but she's listening intently.

Eirene furrows her brow. It makes her age lines more pronounced. "So you had a memory? A past life maybe? What else did you see?" She motions to the garden, "Did you recognize the plants?"

Titania looks to Cufre, "Elves?" she asks moving to kneel down near her. "Do you remember what they looked like?" she asks in a soft voice, calming, soothing.

Cufre is blowing into her tea and shaking her head...carefully, slowly. "Maybe? Maybe a memory? I don't know." Cufre doesn't look up when she answers but lifts her chin at a patch of green in their surrounds. "I don't recognize much beyond crabgrass in the cobbles. I couldn't tell you what these plants here are, so no. I don't know what they were. I didn't much look at them, but think about them. About what they might do," she repeats, then takes a drink of her tea.

Finally, Medeia asks a question about the content of the vision or memory or whatever it was. "Do you recall what they might do? If not the specific thing, was it a plant for good - like healing, or a plant for bad - like poison?"

Eirene comments to Titania, "Could be Nox or Sylph'alfar."

Eirene says in Sylv'alfar, "Did it sound anything like this in your head?"

Eirene asks what -sounds- like a question.

It takes time. Cufre, even to one who just met her today, has enough of the clip in her speech to mark her as someone who spent more time in the muck of the Lower Boroughs than in lush gardens with time enough to discern one plant from another. So there's that, and there's her headache keeping her words coming out in drips rather than a torrent. She doesn't seem to respond to any questions that aren't spoken in Arvani, doesn't even seem to think they might possibly be directed at her. But eventually, eventually, there's enough pieces drawn from her to put limits around what she felt when the headache struck.

Titania looks to Eirene a smile comes to her lips when she hears the woman speak in the exotic language.

Medeia blinks at Eirene. "That is not Nox'alfar..." She frowns as she tries to place any of what was said. "Sylv?" It's a guess, but her head shakes. The details from Cufre have her looking troubled. "Glorious Eminence? That sounds... I do not think they meant 'sister' as in sibling. More like as in a... An order. A cult? One being led by this Eminence. None of it sounds terribly familiar from my studies." There's a brief moment where she runs her hand over Cufre's hair in, well, a sisterly show of concern. But then she's covering the salve and passing it off to Orson to put away.

Eirene confesses, "The only time I've ever heard that word Eminence was in relation to Cardia. And I think Helena called that jackass by it once." She wrinkles her nose up in distaste. "Vapid smiles? I wonder what it could mean. Maybe they were referring to the time the elves were nameless, and under Legion's control?"

Titania puts a hand on Cufre arm, "It will be okay, I understand about seeing things like this." she looks between Eirene and Medeia.

Eirene corrects, "Calayana called him that, when... when Felicia died."

Cufre, who had begun to wear exhaustion in the lowered set of her gaze, even through the weak smile to Titania's gesture of kindness, perks up at Eirene's words. "Calyana...? No one ever told me that." Why would they, really, but this isn't someone who is managing things well at the moment. "The Traitor? or...?"

"Who is Calayana?" Medeia looks a bit confused, but she looks at Cufre carefully when Felicia is mentioned. She murmurs softly, "I had actually thought about her recently..."

Eirene isn't sure this is the best time, but she plows forward. "Calayana is another elf, obsessed with the Traitor. Like madly in love with. She tried to do some sacrifice to summon some shit and Felicia did...something which stopped it. And died in the process. But Calayana shouted something about 'His Spectacular Eminence' in relation to Ori." Orichalcum. She's not saying the rest.

Titania look to Eirene and nods, "That is a name I have not heard before." she hmms.

Cufre checks perception at daunting. Cufre marginally fails.

Cufre's jaw is clenched, headache or no, when Eirene explains who Calyana is. The mention of her sister's death doesn't alter her expression. Gaze downcast, she sighs. "I should go," she says quietly. "I need to go home." Her winces are fewer and slighter than they were when she arrived. She offers her thanks, then starts for the door.

Eirene motions to one of the assistants. "Give her some willowbark tea to take home, will you?"

Medeia chews on this new information, some slight recognition in her eyes, as if this isn't entirely new but it wasn't a focus of hers at all. She touches Cufre lightly on the shoulder. "Send word if you need me."

Titania stands up and shakes her head, "The Sylv'alfar are not the elves I know best." she bites her bottom lip.

Eirene says, "I know a little of them. And I learned their language because it seemed useful." She sighs and looks at the others. "What do we think this means? I'm pretty damn sure it's linked to the Traitor."

Titania nods her head, "I learned the languages because I am a or was a diplomat." she smiles and hmmms, "I should go find Ian, I need to talk to him."

Carissa, a Southport bodyguard have been dismissed.

Planchet the Lycene maggiordome have been dismissed.

Medeia bows her head to both Eirene and Titania. "I will keep an eye on Messere Harrow. She is my protege, after all. But if there is anything important..." She gives Eirene a reassuring look. "I will make sure you are kept informed." Then she's moving off to give the apprentices instructions to close up the open house.
