Home is wherever my paints are.
Description: Mimi is small, but striking. Her dusky olive skin is liberally spattered with dark freckles, her dark hair a riot of ringlets that she usually keeps tamed in braids, either pigtails or pinned across the back of her head. Her expressive features are highlighted by dark eyes and full lips. Her frame is small, with hints that it might run toward healthy plumpness if she ever manages to get consistent, decent meals.
Personality: At first glance, Mimi is an exercise in contradictions. She is naturally outgoing and gregarious, but growing up in thralldom, there was little place for that, and she learned to disappear into the woodwork. Now that she is free, grown and on her own, the young woman is learning who she is through trial and (sometimes calamitous) error.
Background: Born into thralldom in the Mourning Isles, freedom has been a mixed blessing for Mimi. Yes, she now is a free citizen of the Compact, with all of the rights and protections that entails, that is true. However, she is now alone. She isn't sure which initiative to buy the bonds of child thralls was the one that freed her. She just knows that her parents did everything in their power to put her forward as one of the children to be freed. Once freed, she had no living relatives to take her in and she was too old for most people to consider adoption, so after a fair bit of shuffling from one charitable organization to another, she spent her formative years in an orphanage in Setarco. There, she discovered her talent for drawing and painting, quickly discovering she could make a few coins here and there sketching portraits. Now that she is of age, she has decided to make her way to Arx to see what she might be able to accomplish in the capitol.
|Esme||A beautiful woman who is walking her path as an artist. Perhaps a bit prideful, but we all have quirks. Truly, her art shall one day decorate all of Arx.|
|Evangeline||There is so much more to this young woman. I am excited to learn more about her.|
|Reese||A petite ex-thrall artist. I am happy that she was able to get free. I wish her luck in getting her shop started up and I very much look forward to seeing her word. She has me curious.|
|Zoey||She seems nervous, but being alone in Arx and surrounded by nobles would make any young freed thrall feel that way.|
