Cristoph currently has about 25 Crimson Blade under his employ and positioned outside of Arx in reserve, he is going to order them to keep watch on the road west just in case Fawkuhl somehow manages to escape the city and flee in the direction of the Oathlands. Their orders would be to detain him if possible, otherwise to try to delay, or at least report his progress if he is spotted.
This is intended as a fail-safe if Fawkuhl manages to bypass the Iron Guard and the Valardin vigil then tries to flee the city in this direction.
Result
They keep a vigil- it seems like Fawkuhl is going to go ahead with the convocation of the Faith, but if he attempts to flee afterwards, they'll be ready.
