Lord Santi Malvici
"Soldiers have many faults, but they have one redeeming merit; they are never worshippers of force. Soldiers more than any other men are taught severely and systematically that might is not right."
Description: Santi looks upon the world as any man who has always towered over others. He surveys what is in front of him, not so much interacting with it as planning his next move. At almost six and one half feet, the man has broad shoulders and toned arms that speak to a man who does not just intimidate and motive others. No, Santi did not get to this size without being able to motivate himself and his expressive eyes show every mile of that motivation. His quick, dominant smile can overtake his face and draw the eye away from the clean shorn of his shaved head. His deep tan speaks to hours in the sun and his thick neck is as much a testament to his physical fortitude.
Personality: His deep voice is as commanding as his size, and Santi knows it well. But rather than bully people, the man is one of the affable giants that can be found moving about Arvum with the swagger of a man accomplished in many a field. He has a whip-fast smile that compliments his positive attitude. Usually the first to offer support to someone, he encourages people by helping them accomplish their goals - rarely ever doing it /for/ them. That is an important distinction for him, too. A firm believer in the Malvici's form of meritocracy, Santi knows his goal in life is not to simply protect others, but to put himself between the innocents and the threats. It is not a job for him. That is his calling. He may have been Knighted many years ago but he has a hard to stepping into the role of a commander rather than a leader in the proverbial trenches.
Background: A noble son to Elnora Malvici and half-brother to Pepper, Santi has not pursued his half-sister's path and has earned himself a name throughout the House as someone to watch. He is a tall, broadshouldered man who had already towered over his friends before he turned nine. Like all Malvici's, he was brought up to fight and do-so with the intent to win. His skill was hard to match and many of the people that trained with him as a boy would follow him everywhere like a small, well-mannered gang. As he got older and it became clear that the family intended to make him an officer, he fought tooth and nail to stay with his fellow soldiers rather than lead them. Reluctantly, the family allowed it and he quickly rose to that of a highly respected Sergeant and instructor. He is both loved and feared for his brazen equality treatment given to new Prodigals and willingness to provide outreach for them - few dare challenge him on it. He has come to Arx to see how the government works and learn, not just from the politics and people, but to gain experience and perhaps find a new way that may interest him. Officially he is here to help advise on the nature of Prodigals, assist in cavalry training, and explore service in the Guards. The latter of these is hoped to potentially break him of his attachment to the commoner soldiers.
Name | Summary |
Alarissa | Foul mouthed but lovely. Terrible taste in alcohol. |
Amari | A very big man. I'm sure if his lance had found its mark, I'd have been the one in the dust instead. |
Calla | Another Malvici Lord I've become aquainted with. A warrior of fine stature and skill. Also suprisingly fun over drinks. |
Calypso | Yeah, he's definitely related to me. |
Cirroch | utterly mad. good taste in a proper sized drinking vessel, and just mad. |
Domonico | My Cousin to whom I owe my life, now back in Arx and now with more facial and head hair than I have ever seen him sport before. Unsettling. |
Giada | Everyone loves a smartass. |
Kaia | Honest, fierce and clever. My husband's cousin is an impressive man. The way he spoke of Baroness Calla and defended her honor during that Malvici dinner speaks wonders of him. He has my admiration. |
Klaus | A colorful fellow I am certain there is more to than the surface, even if he does not care much to the discussion of tactics. |
Martino | My Dear Lord Cousin is a staunch defender of Malvici and I know placing our trust in him is very well put. His voice firm, his punishments for those who do us wrong quite fitting. With him in the city, we have much to be pleased about. |
Raimon | An exceptionally large man with an exceptionally dominant smile and exceptional skill with a Malvici Kopis. |
Zakhar | A most impressive drinking vessel, though looks to be only good for one use. |
