Lord Seax Halfshav
Shav blood runs through my veins - the hills call to me.
Description: Seax is a burly man with a hard, blocky face, bred for the trials of the harsh northern hills. He has a squared jawline that draws across into a dimpled cleft chin. Despite this, his relative youth is visible in his ruddy cheeks. Occasionally, his thin lips will pull up into a grin as sharp as a butcher's cleaver. His height is ordinary, but his broad frame has been hardened by solid muscle, the product of intensive conditioning. Cut in a utilitarian, military fashion, his ashy-brown hair is worn short on top and shaved almost completely on the sides, similar to a high and tight. His eyes are round and their irises are dark green, bearing a steely glint.
Personality: Despite his knighthood, Seax is known for his loyalty to the North; he is adamant about House Redrain. His lips rarely part for he doesn't have much to say. When he does speak, it tends to be something witty or foul. Fortunately for some, he tries to be on his best behavior around those of noble blood...
Background: Seax is said to hail from a distant and irrelevant branch of the Halfshav family. The details are murky, but many a rumor say that Seax Halfshav was knighted upon Tolamar Brand's arrival to the North; he proved his worth in battle time and time again, surprisingly strong for his age and good with a blade. Since then he has begun to accompany his kinsmen to the south to engage in court politics and learn more about the Compact...
Relationship Summary
Family:
Name | Summary |
Amari | A giant block of glacier scoured granite in man form, and a nephew to Duke Vercyn. He's still capable of cracking smiles. I saw one! |
Appolonia | A stoic lord of a house of the north. Seems content with the spirits and war and perhaps his frozen home. Longs to be remembered as a conqueror with a brood to carry on his legacy. Decent conversationalist at the very least who allowed me my questions. |
Caith | I bumped into this fellow (literally!) in the Gilded Page and managed to assault him with puns. He chuckled at first but then seemed rather alarmed and ran away! He ran away from my puns! Maybe he doesn't like puns? Perhaps a pun killed a family member? PUNfortunately, I imagine that he will steer clear of me should our paths cross again; I feel that he is PUNalizing me for my horrible sense of humor. Alas, I cry! Alas! |
Clara | Cute and blunt. I like him already. |
Cullen | A knight of the North, should be a man worth knowing. Seems to be heavily invested in his native culture, honor, and the spirits - all things worth protecting and putting at the fore. Doesn't talk too much, which is a good sign of someone who has nothing to say but listens instead, rather than just interjecting randomly. |
Darren | This Lord and knight went out of his way to assure me of his steadfastness. That's the sort of man I can appreciate. Standing there in the Stone Grove, he seemed carved from the rocks himself -- steady, reliable. I'm going to get along with this one. |
Elgana | The quiet strength of the North is reflected in this Lord quite well. I don't believe we shared many words, if any, but his presence is hard not to notice. This one is worth getting to know, of that I have no doubt. |
Fianna | A friend to my brother and someone I'm hoping to call the same in the near future. |
Gareth | Apparently the new protege of the Highlord of Redrain. Interesting. Not the man of course. But the fact that he has been chosen. We shall see if he lives up to it. |
Gwenna | Lord Seax Halfshav is a quiet man, though one seeming to brim with loyalty and honor. Surely a warrior and scout of great repute, there seems a hidden warmth there that one might only gain through trust, perhaps. As well, knowing some of his family already, I think we might manage to be friends some day. |
Jeffeth | I'll have to find his name out so I can send him more puns, I'm sure he'll think they're funny once I fully explain them. |
Jev | Strong silent type. |
Khanne | A third cousin. I left Whitehold so young, to live in the mountains, that I barely recall him as a child. It's a culture shock here in Arx. I hope he manages to survive it... I'll help, however I can. |
Lys | A tall northern Halfshav. He certainly looks the part. Could be charming, too soon to tell. |
Morrighan | Halfshav Lord and Knight, cousin to Arik and Khanne. A quiet sort, if my initial meeting is anything to go by, but at the same time seems alert and aware of his surroundings at any given moment. Wouldn't mind chatting with him again. |
Oswyn | Intimidating. Definitely intimidating. |
Petal | A Northern Lord who is Half a Shav and Half a noble |
Riagnon | Very srs! Very big. I think we're probably friends! |
Sabella | We met at the Spirits one day--I know he speaks some form of Shav, which means he must be very clever to know more than one language! I don't think I could manage it! |
Snow | He is a kind soul. I wonder why I have not seen him before. Very charming indeed. |
Valdemar | A direct man, when he decides to speak. Something I can respect. |
Vercyn | Burchard's boy. Last I saw him he was more a boy than a man, but six winters changed him. He is now a knight, blooded during the troubles with Tolamar Brand, and he seems rather the stoic and serious type. If he is anything like his father, I expect him to be extremely loyal to the House and will make us proud. |
Violet | Was he eyeing me? Yeah, he's a Halfshav, of course he was. But was he sizing me up for a fight or something else? Hard to tell. He's hard to read. |
