Description: Her lovely features might easily mark her out of the crowd, as she is tall and long of limb with a fair face bearing brilliant blue eyes and framed by strawberry blonde locks. However, she carries herself like someone who would rather not be so often noticed. She rarely makes direct eye contact and shies from lingering long at the center of anyone's attention. Her voice is songbird sweet, though she is more taciturn than talkative.
Personality: At her core, Lorna is a survivor. She comes across as quiet and demure because it brings her far less trouble than being bold. But, that's not to say that Lorna isn't capable of asserting herself when the need arises. She can and will do so. She is slow to anger, but she can be vicious once her ire is up. In order to avoid hurting those undeserving, however, Lorna prefers to keep most people at arm's length. She looks to her duties and devotes most of her energy toward serving her House such that it leaves her little time left to her own devices or to get into trouble.
Background: As is often the case among the Abandoned, life for Lorna before she bent the knee was difficult and fraught with danger. Her people preferred to remain settled in one place for as long as they were able, but they were regularly forced to relocate due to hostilities brought by other clans or conflict with the Compact. She was still young when all-out war was waged and her clan was cut down nearly to the last; only a few children survived, sheltered in part by Lorna's cleverness in finding for them a good hiding place until the fighting was over.
When the dust had settled, Lorna led her small contingent of orphans to the nearest safe haven they could find to beg for shelter. That she proceeded to do so in passable Arvani rather than the native tongue of her shav'arvani clan is likely what encouraged the lords of Stonehearth to oblige her pleas. Some ten years later, Lorna is now one of the so-called 'prodigals' and serves House Stonewood as a trusted steward and translator. She has a natural ear and talented tongue, well-versed in several different shav'arvani dialects, and strives to learn more and more. Her experience in the great melting pot that is Arx, however, has only just begun...
