Lord Maxen Halfshav
You should have seen the look on your face! Priceless! ...Now hold on, we're all friends here, right?
Description: Maxen is a gangly, slim built sort. Starting from the top he has a mess of thick black hair, and peering out from under those curls are dark green eyes. Not brooding though, there seems to be an air of playfulness, a lack of seriousness. His face is a pleasant array of sharp angles, with full lips that seem to be easy to quirk at some unseen amusement. His eyebrows are thick, and in combination with the rest of him his face is very expressive.
Personality: Maxen is entirely irreverent and mischievous. This probably comes from a lack of any kind of discipline whatsoever, and an eager mind. He rapidly picks up new topics and absorbs them with great interest, however, this interest lacks focus. Beneath all the chicanery does lie a rather sensitive soul, it's entirely possible that he's just acting out to get attention. Poor boy.
Background: Maxen was raised in a distant noble holding, that, for the most part, no one had any good reason to visit, it had secured its place in the House with some tactical marriages that meant they were comfortably left alone. Unfortunately his mother died when he was young, and his father, being quite a bit older, seemed to be in a perpetual state of ill health. This rather left Maxen with the run of the place, and very few responsibilities. His father was doting though, and spared no expense in making sure that Maxen had access to the best teachers and mentors. By golly did Maxen get through them. Initially he would be the model student, absorbing everything, but as soon as he felt he knew everything on the subject matter the nonsense started. Add to this that Maxen has a tendency to stick his nose where it does not belong.
All of this adds up to Maxen being... politely encouraged to make his way to the Arx, to... further his learning. Definitely not to get him out from under foot, oh no. Maxen was thrilled by this idea, he absolutely could not wait to see the big city, and see just how many scandals he could get himself embroiled in.
Name | Summary |
Cirroch | Lanky, similar to a bean sprout that was cut off too early. Though has excellent choices in study aides. |
Domonico | Contrary to his statement, Lord Maxen and I are not friends yet. |
Elizabetha | I fear he hardly trusts me! That's alright, it is perhaps a healthy doubt--I do lack some care with the chemicals. |
Fidel | He says we're friends, which is weird because I don't remember meeting him before? But if he says it, it must be true. I can chalk this one up to a new friend! Or at least a man with a friendly disposition and a sense of fashion. |
Gael | A scion of the North with nary a scratch of frostbite upon the mischievous look of his boyish expression. It is strange, for his people oft are of sterner stock, but perhaps life found a way to harden them elsewhere. You never know with them snow folk. |
Gerrick | that's the right attitude, never sober up, don't need a cure for the hangover |
Haakon | Only way this fop is a Halfshav is if some Shav managed to fuck a man-sized butterfly. |
Iseulet | A saint with a sinner's eyes. I already adore his company. |
Korka | Interesting. But he's probably going to end up dead rather quickly. Possibly a pity? |
Leena | Irresponsible and dangerous with musings not created in fact, I would not trust any secrets around this person. |
Mabelle | A very lively Lord Halfshav, quite different from his keen yet very expressive like the rest of them. |
Medeia | Doesn't seem to fit the Halfshav mold, but maybe that's not a bad thing? |
Orick | There is... alot going on with this young Lord... to put it politely; if he can harness that energy he could be capable of great things. |
Romulius | Foppish, but at least he knows it. Quick on his feet. |
Rylan | Friendly, clever, a dilettante I feel, but I wonder if he's entirely stable. I am not sure he should be trusted with the secrets of alchemy, but I would love to see what he does with them anyway. |
Scylla | I do so much enjoy the companionship of persons overflowing with confidence. He spoke to me with the all the comfort and familiarity of a good friend. You know what they say: fake it 'til you make it! |
Sedna | Lords with scattered interests make for the most entertaining conversation partners. He's going to get himself killed in an incredibly interesting way, I'm sure of it. |
Valdemar | An interesting sort. I'm not sure just what to make of this Northerner yet. |
