Lord Cassian Crovane
I had to make it clear, I couldn't stay. No harbor is my home. My life, my love, and my lady, is the sea.
Description: Cassian is the sort of man always seen with a knowing smirk, mirth dancing in his cool blue eyes. His coppery red hair sparkles in the sunlight and makes him easy to pick out on deck of his ship, especially with his long red beard. His clothes are simple and practical, but well made and durable, showing a use of money for more than just showing off.
Personality: A merry widower, rakish and flirtatious without being serious, he's a fierce defender of his crew and his family. Cassian is the sort that will joke and jest, even at sea, but when things grow serious, he's becomes grave and severe. He knows the sea, and often jokes that he's remarried to it. When he's on land, he tries to be the sort of noble that a commoner could come to with a concern without being an embarassment to his wedded family.
Background: Cassian was the second son of a Ravenseye family, and from the start seemed destined for adventure. Constantly exploring from the time he could crawl, climbing from the time he could walk, there was virtually nothing that could bar Cassian from a place. By the time he was of age, the sea beckoned to him and his parents could do nothing to dissuade him. His good nature and quick mind let him learn nearly every job aboard the ship, and it didn't take long for him to rise to the rank of Captain, with a crew that would follow him into storm or fire. His skill at sailing earned him renown, and the eye of a lovely woman from the House Crovane, though the latter would perish before their life together could truly blossom.
Name | Summary |
Clara | He's family an' that is all I really care about. I've got his back an' I'm sure he's got mine. |
Jules | Lord Cassian Crovane - married into the family. He's a sailor and seems to spend quite a bit of time away from land rather than on it. Perhaps a bit on the modest side for Redrain but no where near the degree of an oathlander. A touch formal but kind. |
