Greenmarch

Vassal of Telmar

Words: "Untamed and Unconquered."
Sigil: A black stag on a green field.
Nicknames: Stags. Does. Greenmarchers.

One of the youngest houses in the Compact, the shavs of the Greenmarch clan bent the knee and joined House Valardin as vassals to House Telmar through a combination of marriages- Princess Marian into House Valardin, and the new Marquis Marius Greenmarch to Duke Arn's daughter Lady Simone. The new prodigals have hardly surrendered their proud past of a thousand years of successful resistance to Valardinian incursion into the Greenwood. Legends claim that a thousand years ago, the last King of Sanctum banished Marcus Greenwood from his court for arguing that the Oathlands needed to rally against the demonic threat. Abandoned by the rest of the Oathlands, the Greenmarchers say that they held the Greenwood alone against the tide of darkness and they owed the Compact nothing.

Greenhaven

Description: The Greenhaven is the ancient holding of House Greenmarch inside the Greenwood, northwest of Sanctum. The size and relative isolation of the Greenwood provided a great deal of shelter and security against the Oathlands, but even so, the former Abandoned had to adopt a nomadic lifestyle and abandon the secretive Greenhaven in times of bitter conflict with House Valardin that saw the Greenhaven put the torch several times in the last thousand years, and the actual location moved and castle rebuilt a number of times. The current Greenhaven has stood for several hundred years, as a respite since the Crownbreaker wars saw the borders of the Compact recede. Now as a vassal to the Telmarch, the new prodigals control the Greenwood on behalf of House Telmar.

Landmarks: The Great Road

Trends: A large number of Oathlander prodigals have been seeking safe refugee at Greenhaven, due to the Oathlands turning against prodigals.
