Steward

Every noble house requires a number of trusted commoners to help run it and few vocations are as necessary or as trusted by their lords as the steward. This could be a house servant who offers counsel, teaches the children of the lord, organizes the other servants, and in some cases for the very trusted, even acts as the representative of the lord while they are unavailable. This vocation also represents any number of other non-martial house servants that are trusted, such as a lady's maid, or house custodians. An example of a highly honored equivalent of a steward in the southern houses of the Lyceum would be the lord's cupbearer- a far greater honor than most would assume, the implication in the poisonous, intrigue-riddled southern city states is trusting a servant with one's cup is the same as trusting them with your life.
