A character's ability to strike deals, such as convincing a miserly merchant to throw in an extra apple along with those carrots, getting 15% off the suspiciously human-like leather products of a guy who lives in the graveyard, or an extra few powers tacked onto the pact you signed in blood with the shadowy guy who lives in a mirror.
