+protect

Defends a character
Usage:
+protect <character>
+defend <character>
+defend/stop
+protect/stop

Marks yourself as defending a character. While with them, this will
mean you will always enter combat whenever they do, on their side. If
the character is already in combat, you'll join in. While in combat,
you will attempt to protect the character by intercepting attackers for
them and guarding them against attempts to flank them. This captures
the situation of loyal guards who would place themselves in harm's way
for the person they're protecting.
If two characters are attempting to protect each other, it simulates
the situation of two characters fighting back-to-back or otherwise in
some formation where they try to guard one another against threats, or
an individual who stubbornly resists being kept out of harm's way.
You may only focus on defending one character at a time. To stop
guarding a character, use the /stop switch.
