Traitor to the Oathlands

It is with a heavy heart that House Valardin informs the Compact that we have found a traitor among those who carry our name. We have been pursuing leads and evidence to find the culprit, and thanks to the efforts Inquisition an of numerous brave people the traitor has been identified as the person known as Prince Aurelian Valardin.
The man you have known by this name is an imposter. The real Prince Aurelian Valardin was murdered as a young boy after being kidnapped. And for many years, we believed that the rescue party had arrived in time to save him. Sadly, we now know that is not the case. The real Prince Aurelian never came home to us and was replaced with the man we have called by his name for close to 20 years.
In addition, the traitor has been implicated in the deaths of those at Sanctum, as well as Marquis-Consort Jacques Lyonesse. For that reason, this man, who will take his real name back to the Wheel with him has been executed for his treason against the Oathlands.
Together we mourn for our young cousin who was so brutally murdered, and hope that justice being served helps his soul find peace, wherever it may be on the wheel.
