In the time since we have taken in Princess Katarina Al'Muraq-Sabbat as a ward after she found herself on Oathland shores in quite explosive manner, she has embraced our family with the same faith and zeal she has for the Faith.
Despite being tactical sized, like my sister Princess Alis, she has shown extraordinary courage and grace in battle, skill as a commander, and honor in all her dealings with the peers of the compact. She has shown that she has the heart of a dragon. Now she will bear the name of one.
From this day forward Princess Katarina Al'Muraq-Sabbat will be known as Princess Katarina Valardin. Though she will not be part of the line of succession, she will from this day forward bear our name, and honor our Oaths.
