The Passing of a Legend

Posted by Berenice on 11/08/21
I have known many tailors in my time. Many whom I would call artists in their skill and vision with needle and textile. For me, none compared in my mind and in my heart to the legendary talent of Talia Baseborn.

Talia was not a vassal of Velenosa. I certainly wish we had had the honor to call her one of our own. But she was my protege. She was a blazing, undeniable talent of which I had the great honor and privilege of providing my influence and support.

And now I am left with the terrible burden and responsibility of sharing publicly the news of her death in the sacking of Bastion. Word was long in reaching me, but now the tragic truth is here, and it must follow that her passing be publicly noted for the great loss that it is.

Talia Baseborn was not a vassal of Velenosa, but we shall remember her. I shall remember her.

--- Cardia Stance ---
Talia was a brilliant artist, a blazing star who created things to captivate those from the Compact and beyond. Her sort of talent will only be seen once in a lifetime. She will be missed.

--- Bard's College Stance via Gianna ---
Some storytellers work with fabric and thread rather than words. Talia Baseborn told stories through her work by creating wonderous garments and adding stories to the Houses whose gowns she crafted. We at the College loved her stories, and we shall miss them very much.

--- Malespero Stance via Apollo ---
Talia had a good heart and a determination to leave the world a little better. May history remember that so well as her skill.
