The Long Watch at Seawatch Gate

They say that the Seawatch Gate is the Great Equalizer. Common or noble, prodigal to Godsworn, everyone passes under the watchful eye of the Iron Guard.
But now a new force is there - informal and yet organized - the Iron Guard - represented by Marquis Rymarr, the King's Own, under the direction of Dame Felicia, the Faith under Sir Brannen Harthall, the Inquisition under Prince Alistair Velenosa, and various lesser nobles gathered by Lady Kenna Whitehawk have started what may loosely be termed a Ceremonial Guarding of the Seawatch Gate.
It is, perhaps, a fitting picture of Arx and the Compact that lies behind the Gate. Armed, armored, differing in class and obligation and outlook, this ceremonial guard is not a formal unit - and yet they are united in their determination to keep the long watch. To stand together, one of purpose if not in origin. Some may think it a small thing. And yet it serves as a reminder, and more than one commoner looks up to see this Ceremonial Guard, and takes comfort in knowing they remain on their long watch.
