Lyceum United

Archduchess Eleyna gathers her people. As the Grand Duchess, she puts out the call to all their duchies. Assigning Alrec Magaldi as High Admiral to coordinate with the Compact, she calls her own banners to war - and works diligently and tirelessly to make sure all who look to Velenosa are armed and ready for the combat to come. She is the carrot - Talen by her side is the stick. And if they're thinking about resisting the Archduchess' message, one look at the Archduke-Consort's gunmetal gaze and clawed gauntlets are likely enough to make them more open-minded. Princess Isolde joins them too - and her efforts are focused on faith and the unique relationship between the Lyceum and the Thirteenth. She speaks fervently, reminding people that sometimes war is needed to bring peace. Anyone who seems hesitant is told to reflect on that duality and remember that the Thirteenth is watching. Princess Jaenelle adds her own gentle, tactful touch as well, and Prince Niccolo takes advantage of decades of experience in Southern politics and leadership to alternately persuade, command, charm, and bully the various Lycene houses and Velenosan vassals. All in all, a united front from the Lyceum's leadership.
Duchess Calypso calls her banners. She gives rousing speeches about the importance of heeding the call of the Archduchess and the King. She calls them to take up arms against this enemy that bears down upon them, especially those with ships and sailing experience. Neither by chance, nor by fate, we forge our own path forward!
Duchess Belladonna and Duke Cassius move to call their banners, visiting Setarco, and their vassals, and their vassals' vassals as needed. They speak to the military and naval forces, they impress the need upon their vassals, and they emphasize their people's strength - and appeal to their pride. The enemy is coming, they say. Now it's time to show them the strength of Setarco!
Duchess Calista Fidante listens to Eleyna's exhortations, and calls the banners of Tor. She too reminds them of the fiery love and passion she has for her beloved Tor, and she calls on her vassals to remember that it's time to show the enemy that the roses of Tor have thorns, and it is their time to bleed.
Duchess Dafne Zaffria takes a tour of Gemecitta and their vassals too. She speaks not just of the great and the good, but the humble as well. She reminds them of their duty, and against the supernatural forces massing against them in the seas. Maybe elsewhere people would be skeptical, but she does this while reminding them of the last time mysterious evil threatened even as she unveils the shiny new tomb of Duke Valkieri. Now she reminds them - it is time for even the smallest sword to be lifted. Even the most humble can make a difference.
Baron Stefano Gilden calls his banners, emphasizing the importance of a short, victorious war. Captain Ariella Igniseri recruits sailors from across the Lyceum to join the call. Marquessa Lianne Pravus sends the bulk of Nilanza's navy, calling for the free corsairs to join her in defending their home. Lord Karadoc Said calls his banners, reminding his people that the vineyards won't produce sweet grapes if they're on fire, now will they? Countess Melinda Magnotta joins the call as well, employing her new position as countess to send the words of the Archduchess through her county.
Count Duarte Amadeo, newly inherited, leans on his more trusted administers and statesmen. He encourages his vassals and calls them to arms, while organizing whisper campaigns to sing the praises of the mighty armies and navies of the Lyceum proper. He's trying to shore up morale and courage and instill faith in the might and resolve of the Compact. It's not entirely successful, possibly owing to his newness to his role, but he's making an honest effort.
Lady Sudara Pravus calls on her Truesworn to muster. Part of the reason they bent the knee in the first place, she reminds them, was to avoid joining this pirate king. She tells tales of old and new alike, training her people and rattling the sabers, readying for war! And here again Theron, Sword of Mazetti, is not idle. He rallies Ostria on behalf of Velenosa, and even more so he lends his strength and patriotism to others throughout Velenosa, speaking eloquently to the strength of Velenosa together.
The Lyceum prepares for war!
