When the Dominus Fawkuhl excommunicated Lark and Cara, many of the faithful saw it as no more than fair. How could they ignore Fawkuhl's claimed repeated warnings that they were in danger of excommunication, and do so anyways? But most in House Grayson and the Faith had very strong mixed feelings to begin with, with a deep admiration for Lark, Cara and Dawn, and were very pleased by Fawkuhl clearly laying out a path to public atonement and penance in the eyes of the Faith, and they expected an action exactly like what Cara and Lark praying at Sovereign Bridge. The Faithful, save for a small faction of the most militant, are extremely pleased by the public show of humility and penance in their eyes, choosing to ignore any confrontational overtones, and look forward to the Faith forgiving them. Quickly. They have great faith that the new Dominus Aldwin won't forget his duties.
