The Ashes of Artshall

Recovering in Artshall is ongoing and is being managed remarkably by Duke Cristoph and Lady Mabelle. The city walls are far enough along in construction to offer some measure of security and rebuilding is picking up now that many of those who fled from Artshall return and many more from all over the Oathlands venture to make their fortunes there. After all, Artshall will need people and the opportunities and work to be found are hard to resist.
Laurent's vassals put effort into fortifying their own holdings with Marquis Kael Keaton leading the charge in the defenses that he establishes in Oakhaven and its surrounding. House Arden, though new and small, also works hard to fortify themselves as much as they can and serves as something of an example to other smaller vassals who might worry at the expense and effort involved.
During the course of rebuilding, it is discovered that somehow, the lands surrounding Artshall are more rich and fertile than ever which should be a boon to the recovery efforts in the years to come. Some speculate that it must be the ash left behind from the fire that affected the soil, but most, like good Oathlanders, credit the gods with showing mercy and kindness after so much heartache.
