Almost no one in the Compact has seen the fall of the main city of a fealty in their lifetimes. There are no books that explain how to endure it. Many might have expected House Grayson leadership to be weakened and demoralized by it and yet...
And yet the leadership of House Grayson has proven itself and then some.
Princess Liara taking to the battlefield with Elvesbane in her hand and her focused leadership that managed to earn even the respect of Abandoned House Blacktree on the battlefield is being spoken of as if she could be the House's next great warrior princess in the model of those like Alarice who came before her.
The intrepid spirit of Princess Lou Grayson is praised as well. After all, many know her as an Explorer and up for adventure, but tragedy has sharpened her, brought focus and intensity to what is a larger-than-life personality.
Prince Aindre Grayson and his mighty hammer are already the subject of an uncomfortable number of rousing bar songs throughout the Crownlands and many commend his bravery in wading into battle right alongside the High Lord.
As Bastion begins the process of rebuilding, the people of the Crownlands, having faced tragedy and defeat and come back from it, trust the leadership of House Grayson more than ever and look to them to lead them into a bright future.
