Autumn is the season for new fabrics and new materials; this time it is Radiant Anisha and House Whisper who has proudly funded and served as genius loci for a new, clever thing that is sure to make all the fashionistas rave.
In collaboration with the Apothecary College of Tor and their laboratories, the Crafter's Guild and their workshops, the Lodge of Petrichor offering gardens and hide, a varied group of individuals have brought the world rose-tanned leather; thin, alchemically treated leather of a delicate and delightful nature. Using roseotto oils rather than tannins in the process, the resulting product is supple, soft and scented of roses, with a slight rosy sheen when the light hits it just the right way.
As Houses Malvici, Darkwater, and Seraceni offer their trade networks and their support, the new hide travels quickly across Arvum, being picked up as the thing of the hour.
Mistress Galatea offered her alchemical expertise, alongside Lady Mabelle Laurent. Marquis Apollo Malespero (formerly Darkwater) offered his extensive knowledge on tanning process, and Mistress Svana Grayhope bridged the gap between the two disciplines to create the wonder. Dame Leola Allenatore worked to ensure special rose breeds for the oils were bred in the lodges. Whisper Aconite served as liaison with the Apothecary College, and alongside her fellow Whisper Nijah as well as Ladies Mabelle Laurent, Medeia Eswynd, and of course, the Radiant Anisha Whisper, the couture potential of the new material was firmly established. While useless as armor, the rose-tanned leather is sure to be spotted among the fashion-conscious in the seasons to come.
