Sedition

The propaganda efforts do not, however, suggest that the entire Compact has been unaffected by the claims of Ivan Helianthus that the current king is illegitimate, or by traditionalists calling out the influx of prodigals, neo-nobles, changes to the Faith, attacks on thralldom and other institutions. An alarmingly large segment of the peerage might not be voicing support for the Thraxian rebels or for the Eurusi invaders, but they are suspiciously quiet. Some small instances of sedition or outright treason do boil up, such as one malcontent in the Lower Boroughs named Fureno D'Vali declared in a white journal that 'I, for one, welcome our new Eurusi overlords'. Fureno was last seen in Ulbran territory before according to Ulbran family 'associates' that D'Vali became so overcome with regret about his treasonous behavior that the man stabbed himself in the back 18 times before throwing himself screaming off Low Bridge in the Lower Boroughs. This was deemed sufficient explanation for the Inquisitors seeking the man for questioning.
