Cupridium

A new alloy has come from the forge of Brother Felix, Cupridium. Based in bronze, beautifully patterned, annealed for weapons and armor and unannealed for jewelry, it is a versatile metal of a strength and refinement similar to steel. He has had many assistants in this process. Giulio and Lora spend so many hours finding and collating texts on different metals. Ida and Hana join their expertise to Felix's to alloy the bronze into new shapes, new patterns. Ephrath refines the patterns for jewelry, oh, how they gleam. Rowenova and Juliana apply their alchemical expertise to improve the purity of the metal, its strength against corrosion. Niklas and Sorrel spend their voices against the metal, and while most instruments are wooden, cupridium does make a fine, resonant bell. All this needs funding, too, and promotion, which Niklas, Valery, Reese, and Esme provide.
It will be a while yet before cupridium can be made as cheaply as good steel. Yet, look at the finished product! Beautiful. Distinct.
