Hope In Unity

Gone, but not forgotten. Those ubiquitous copper rings were only a start. The copper broaches - they too are cropping up in places. And now a chosen few have started making very public statements by wearing copper and encouraging the wearing of copper, even as the time of decision approaches the King and his Council.
Prince Lorenzo starts the trend, with Dame Ida and Lord Alessandro helping. They start with craftspeople, encouraging them to make copper items and distribute them freely. Evaristo starts singing, in taverns and on street corners, particularly in the Lowers. Petal hands out coppery-orange poppies in remembrance of the Mage of Hope.
Lady Tesha, Lady Margret, Lady Teagan, Marquessa Simone, Marquessa Quenia, Lady Evonleigh, Princess Elgana, and Lady Umbroise all work to popularize this act - not just to spread the word of Copper and her great works, but to spread a message of hope and unity. Stick together, they say. Stick together and we can overcome.
The message is clear - the lowers, and the lower nobility favor Copper. But Copper is gone, and so their message is not just that of Hope but of Unity - and of not wanting to bow to those foreigners who would rule them. It's probably not the most politically polite way to make their voices heard, but it's a message received, loud and clear.
What the King will do with that message now is anyone's guess.
