Lord Scirocco Grimhall
Fools are my theme, let satire be my song.
Description: A man whose inscrutable darkness is layered with roguish charm and the reticent aplomb of nobility. While there is an undeniable taste for the flamboyant in Scirocco's garb and jewelry, it is offset by sharp energy and an undeniably masculine hunger in his elegant lines. His fluid movements are both ostentatious and poised, belying underlying strength and a performer's trained agility. Sable hair is caught up at his nape in thick coils that flow neatly down his back. A den of wild things nests in his Cimmerian hazel eyes; things that bite and howl at any obstacle. Raven's wing brows slash straight lines above his eyes, echoing the sharp cant of his cheekbones. Those keen edges draw focus down to generous lips whose natural crimson promises much. His artistic fingers are long, deft and capable; calloused with peculiar patterns most likely from playing the lute that usually accompanies him.
Personality: Scirocco is charming, humorous, and sometimes flirtatious, but an acute awareness of the importance of etiquette, tradition and formality prevents him from taking things too far. Like any decent bard he is mellifluously silver-tongued and rather direct in his flamboyant indirectness. Genuinely kind and warm, he is prone to acts of heroics and charity. Like the breeze that is his namesake, he tends toward passionate limerence, especially when on a creative bent. Scirocco is not monofaceted, also exuding a cool, sly, shadowy air of mystery toward those who probe into his personal life or his past too deeply. Vanity prevents him from completely hiding a touch of true darkness from those who know him intimately.
Background: Scirocco Grimhall grew up in a privileged environment, and is comfortable around all things fancy and formal, his youth having been steeped in tradition and etiquette. From an early age the precocious youth exhibited creative talent, excelling in storytelling, certain flavors of dance, and the lute. When he came of age, he set out to travel the lands and collect stories. And then, of course, embellish them. He has many tall tales of sailing the seas, daring quests, and other action-packed, roguish activities, but is it even possible someone of his background would be capable of such grandiose adventure?
Now, he has returned home to the House of Grimhall to collect, document, and retell stories of his own family's reputedly bloody exploits, especially in battle and exploration. As much of his life has been spent perfecting his bardic craft, Scirocco is single and without many local long-term friendships or personal allegiances. He depends instead on wits and charm for survival, favors, and relationship-building.
