Description: Eliza is a pale young woman with a slender but feminine figure. But her most striking feature is her vibrant red hair, which spillis in fiery curls about her shoulders. Her attractive face is gently dusted with freckles, and her eyes are of an almost startlingly bright blue, alive with a flame of passionate curiosity about the world.
Personality: She is curious to a fault, even when prudence or discretion would seem to advise against it. There is a hunger for new things in her that can at times amount to obsession: new knowledge first and foremost, but also new experiences, new perspectives on life. Experience has taught her a degree of caution by now, but her adventuresome spirit is still likely to land her in trouble.
Background: Eliza was born in Arx, to a moderately successful shopkeekper and his wife. At a young age, she began to be tutored by a priest of Vellichor, who saw great potential in the clever young girl. But while she proved an avid student, her original ambition to join the Scholars of Vellichor eventually came to naught: she was too undisciplined, too unfocused to truly be an ideal scholar. So instead she took various jobs as a scribe and tutor to earn her living, all the while continuing her personal study of folklore, which had always been a passion of hers. Then, the strange happenings around the Silent War began to reveal that the old tales of magic might not be mere myth. Even though Eliza was only able to snatch second-hand rumors at first, she was nonetheless deeply fascinated, and her personal studies took a decidedly occult bend.
Relationship Summary
Patron:
Name | Summary |
Celeste | If she is as careful and respectful of knowledge as she says she is, then her addition to our house will be a great one. She certainly talks the talk; time will tell if she walks the walk. |
Harlex | A scholar. We share a patron. But what I found myself lured to was that burning curiosity about her, one I don't mind feeding with the few things I know. |
Selene | Not the windflower that she might first appear; the Lycene charms are present behind the studious appearance, and with that comes a distinct sense these waters run deep. |
Sudara | A charming, intelligent, and promisingly competent recruit: I very much hope that this scholar maintains a long association with the Pravus library. |
