Out of interest in trying out new techniques and new types of woods Orchid has been working on seeing what wood holds up against being turned into usable items. She has been given use of some of the goldenwood. With the use of the goldenwood she is focusing on more advanced techniques of staining wood, carving it and so on.
Yasmine contributed 1500 resources as a way to help Orchid's goal along.

As Minister of Industry for House DiFidante, it is one of Vulpiano's duties to seek out new ways and uses for the Roseward's exports, such as the Goldenwood. Having been told of its special qualities by the Marquessa, namely its hardness and fire-resistant qualities, Vulpiano supplies Orchid with a great enough supply to aid her in her experimenting, to hopefully find new ways through which the Roseward might refine and improve its exportations of the material.

Having been a part of the creation and culmination of Goldenwood, knowing that it is truly a blessing from Petrichor, Brigid the Voice of House Moore also seeks to further it's use. Being only one of the two places which supply the trees, there is enough to help fund testing projects such as the carving of Sister Juniper who gave her life so that others could live freely.

As one of the heads of house of the few regions where goldenwood grows, Lora has a vested interest in seeing its recognition and proliferation throughout the Compact. She is also eager to see how Orchid can work the stuff, coaxing the wood into proper form, testing the limits of its capabilities, and then introducing it to Arx. Where she can, she talks the stuff up, presenting little tokens made from the wood to various people and in various places including the shrines of Jayus, Petrichor, Mangata, and Lagoma, with whose blessings the woods were cleansed and the trees made to grow in the first place (Plot #647). Naturally the house also provides funding alongside the wood.
