Lady Ingrid Grimhall
"Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice"
Description: Slender but not frail, this young woman carried herself with purpose. She is of average height with a softly curved figure. Her eyes are a shade of blue that evokes images of calm seas, her aquamarine gaze turning stormy when her temper starts to build. Hair is usually pinned up in a flawless coif, but when loose reached down to the middle of her back. Blonde waves are shades of sunlight and honey, and frame wholesomely beautiful features. Soft rose-petal lips brighten when given over to smiles, appearing almost sweet.
Personality: Ingrid Grimhall is not quite as 'grim' as many of her family members (especially her father) yet she is a serious young woman. Sometimes in conversation it will appear she is not listening at all, but off in her head thinking through a new subject intensely. She gravitates towards people with similar interests, the usually quiet and reserved lady opening up in discussions of law, economics, and other scholarly persuits. More comfortable in small gatherings than large groups of people, but Ingrid knows that sometimes socializing is important for the nobility. She is not easy to get to know, keeping her emotions hidden to all but the few she is close with.
Background: Ingrid is the fifth child of Duke Harald Grimhall and his wife Anneke, with more than a handful of little brothers and sisters as well. It is easy to be overlooked in such a family, especially when one is an Islander born a girl. Yet from an early age Ingrid determined that she would not be overlooked.
While Duke Harald focused on the education of his sons, bringing them up to be strong leaders and fierce warriors, Anneke tended to the girls. It was apparent early on that Ingrid had a sharp mind, one that could make her extremely useful to her family. As such her education spared nothing. She studied law, economics, and even theology, all with the intention to serve her family.
A time came when tutors at Grihem's Point were not enough, Ingrid surpassed all that they might have taught her. Reluctantly (very reluctantly) the Duke and Duchess allowed her to leave the Isles to complete her education. She studied law and economics briefly in both Lenosia and Arx before returning home to find the threat of war on the horizon. A war different from any others, waged by dark forces that many did not understand. At this point Ingrid took it upon herself to learn even more, for Grihem's Point needs someone who knows how to combat unseen threats, as well as how to prevent them.
She travels to Arx now to join her family, vowing to do all that she can with her talents and abilities to see Grimhall thrive.
