Obituary: Vanished after a loud noise in his lab, and a fire that threatened to spread to other areas of the house. Chunks of something burnt that might have been Ven were found in the wreckage.

Description: This man is brown haired and brown eyed with slender features and fair skin, and of slightly less than average height. He tends to always be in motion, gracefully playing with a small object or holding a cup of tea. He rarely looks directly at anyone, instead tending to gaze off into the distance while in thought.

Personality: Ven presents as open and welcoming, and tends to be overly wordy. When he thinks he has a habit of juggling small objects or tapping his fingers. He enjoys solving mysteries and hunting down rare books and artifacts all over Arvum for customers. He spends his spare time drinking tea and reading, the archives of Arx being a particularly favorite spot.

Background: Raised a foundling orphan in the Lycene, Ven learned early to be self reliant in life. Studious and diligent, he went into the merchant's profession first as the apprentice of a scribe and then as a book seller who specialized in rare volumes and traveled extensively seeking them.

Being born without family led Ven to realize in early adulthood that in order to have people in his life that he could trust he would have to build those relationships himself. Building business relationships and friendships all over Arvum didn't come as naturally as his studies or travel, but Ven has worked hard at it and been rewarded with contacts all over the continent as a result.

Aside from seeking out and selling books Ven fell into the role of an information broker and point of contact between people of different social classes and professions. When people around the continent need to know something or have interesting knowledge to sell they come to Ven.

Name Summary
Agatha I wonder how long it'll be before he despairs and starts giving me free wisdom
Ardoin A very skilled and knowledgeable man! I was surprised by all he brought to the table during the Explorer's test, but it was a vast array which should serve the Society quite well. Isn't all egotistical about it either, and already has an excursion planned! I'll be happy to join him on it.
Caspian A man who seems to have big aspirations. I can appreciate that.
Fairen A skilled negotiator, and an unfortunately independant person. Still, his plans for the Nox'alfar are interesting, and his profession is admirable.
Ignacio He seems like a well-mannered and ambitious businessman. I am sure in time he will make his mark on this world. Perhaps I should speak with him sometime about investments.
Jeffeth He seems fun! Adventures! Dragon farts! Sailing! I don't know why he knows Mirari or what really he does besides dealing in rare books and artifacts but he seems a fun sort to know.
Khanne It is rare that someone brings something to me that I have not heard much of before. He did, and I am thankful for it. He was confident in his knowledge, even in the face of my skepticism. I can see why he is a broker of information.
Lou I met him during Cadenza's Explorer fundraising auction. He seems interested in the Explorers, and more importantly he's learned in languages, which is something we're lacking at the moment. I hope to get to talk to him sometime about learning Nox'alfar, and maybe see what other languages he might know.
Mirari Seems to have a good head on his shoulders, very approachable and has some ideas for the College.
Orazio A clever and thoughtful man, not afraid to say what he thinks - and also competent enough not to immediately regret that decision. Worth getting to know.
Petal He is a founding who studies languages and seems like a thoughtful and curious guy.
Reese He seems pretty smart, but not in your face about it. I think he is a good person to know.
Rinel He really would make an excellent scholar.
Saoirse A debate attendee! Late though, this fellow.
Tomwell There is so much going on in his head it's practically bursting out of him. I'd love to know a mere fraction of what he's got up there.
