Wanting to increase his production of horses without having to sacrifice pastures and woods for farms to make up for the increase in feed, Count Philippe has begun negotiations with House Moore, his daughter's barony, and with the help of the merchant house Savatier, with sworn allegiances to Moore, for a direct line of feed and a contract. House Blanchard even offers men to take the responsibility of shipping the material using his cavalry.
Action by Mateline(RIP)
Mateline ran into Count Philippe in the stables and entered some surprise negotiations to have more of her family's oats redirected to help feed House Blanchard's growing herds of prime cavalry horses. Mateline has written home to her mother and the others who help her run their mercantile business to instruct them to make arrangements on their end and to coordinate with House Blanchard's representatives as needed.
Result
Count Philippe Blanchard has been working hard to build his domain, making sure any shortages that may come from war privations don't affect the herds of horses being bred and raised at Chevalle. Making a deal with Mateline Savatier to ship extra oats from Savatier farms to Chevalle, he ensures the stability of their breeding programs - and the family Savatier coffers swell. It's a good deal for both houses really, and their people are quite pleased to see this attention to detail.
