Action by Fatima
Fatima is not sure where her grandfather is, or how to reach him, or if he's even still using the identity of Declan. However, what she does know is that she's feeling a very strong urge to find him now that the Despite is crumbling, so that she can learn from him as he promised to teach her. She is also hoping that he will be able to tell her more about her mother, and her grandmother. Fatima feels she is ready to learn all that her grandfather has to teach her. She has decided to fully embrace the path he has laid for her, wherever that leads. She'll look for any clues about how to find him in anything he may have left behind. She'll be wearing her anklet so she has her mage sight, as well as her talisman from Prince Tyrval, and her spidery garter, so that she can detect blood mages or magic nearby too. She's going to keep this somewhat on the downlow, as she doesn't want to spread it about that she's doing this, not even among her closest friends or allies. Eventually, however, she wants to be able to impart any magical knowledge within the Unfettered Coven and if necessary, the Cult of Leviathan as well. She knows this won't be an easy process, but she is prepared to do what is necessary to do her part against the Traitor, so that she can remove him as an obstacle to getting to Eurus.

Finding him wasn't easy. In fact, she had to rely upon the spidery enchanted fabric and all the resources at her disposal to start to pursue him. In the end, it's one calling himself Donrai Thrax that finds her. It's still unsettling for him to have the youthful face, in his disguise as Declan Tyde, to be looking so close to Dagon- not quite identical, but easy enough to be mistaken except by the closest inspection. Even there, Donrai seems different, and her magical detection seems more insistent, as if something was off. As if a threat was very, very nearby.
But Fatima has a talent for dancing close to fire and escaping unscathed.
However threatening Donrai might be, he still describes her as 'the least disappointing Thraxian of her generation', in his style of backhanded praise. From there, it's interrogation on her past and her attempt to use magic. The former is successful, the latter proves frustrating.
Donrai reveals that her mother, Marjory Thrax, was not truly his. Her grandmother, Dulcina Thrax, had a dalliance that was kept secret- and that Dalliance was with Malrico, the Herald of Avarice, one of the mightiest demons in the world. Donrai believes Malrico was always pulling the strings where Fatima's mother was concerned, directing her to marry someone that would be useful, and Donrai took the opportunity to learn of blood magic from the Eurusi that arrived, but it took him years of study and murderous sacrifice. Fatima then, technically, is not of Donrai's own blood, but offers 'her family is as she chooses, and she can think of him as however she pleases.'
When it comes to try magic, Donrai explains that being able to use high magic is a matter of 'Crossing the Threshold', of defeating any barriers within, and knowing oneself and their story and what obstacles remain. He says he can set the stage, and aid as he can, but her style largely has to be developed by herself- whether she wishes to use the magic of the world, to be a primal mage, and the lifeforce of others as a bloodmage like herself, or to heed the call of the Abyss- which very much wants to be used, but is always corrupting.
They try an experiment, of her using blood magic, but she can't -quite- draw upon Donrai's blood. She felt she was close, that she just needs to figure out what this barrier inside her is, though the attempt exhausts her. Another try soon, Donrai believes, might well do it.
((More than happy to have a scene for additional attempts, time permitting!))
