The marriage of Grayson and Rubino should be celebrated - it is likely the first time a Grayson has been married into the House in living memory! It is auspicious for the Duchy that their Duke-Consort is not only of Grayson heritage, but comes with a proven martial prowess to compliment the Duchess Rubino's own political strength. The pair will be strong. Heirs will be strong. Ties with the Great House will be strong. The future looks promising.
It is no shock then that such a leader, as he was seen in Crovane walking among the injured and months after among the ruins, would see fit to tour the land and the people to which he'll serve. It is done with a personal touch, that not long after marriage, the Duke arrived in Gemecitta and began a tour of surrounding lands to meet those who worked it (OOC: covers my OOC absence). He carried himself with a composed and commanding strength, to be able to meet with new people, leaders, delegates, and officials of the City-State without the Duchess on his arm, and often with a gentle smile on his face. He also had heart and cared for them, hearing them out. He spent a greater precentage of his time with the military; with their present leaders, their captains, and yes, even those at the bottom to see how the gears worked together. He approached them as a confident young man but not an arrogant one, listening more than he would speak, absorbing through observation and humbleness, praising them as he could.
But when the Duchess and Duke both tour together, it is not difficult to cheer at the sight, the embodiment of a unified leadership, of the Duke working to strengthen his Duchess, of the Duchess working to strengthen her Duke for the betterment of all the people... as this match was designed for their future.

Grazia wants to show off her new husband to her people. She wants to set him up as a military leader and potentially recruit new people into the Gemecittan army. They did, after all, lose some people in Setarco, and it's important to be strong and ready, especially now that they've got this new general for a duke. And not untested either -- she speaks well of his prowess at Crovane, making sure people know it was him and not his brother who was the leadership there. She also talks about how interested he is in maintaining and improving infrastructure, and how an arrangement with the Great House Grayson will be excellent for trade and economic prowess. It's a real social win for Gemecitta, too. All in all, this new duke is an excellent investment for them.

Marquessa Quenia Igniseri, having known Aiden long before he became a Duke, talks up the best qualities of the man. She speaks to his kind and caring attitude, and of his accomplishments at Crovane. She speaks to his willingness to genuinely wish to help other people, and see to their needs. And, she speaks to what a good man he is in general. She's certain he can thrive as both their General and their liege, with the skills and prowess he brings with him.
Result
Just after the wedding of Prince Aiden Grayson to Duchess Grazia Rubino-Zaffria, the new Duke and Duchess, along with their friend Marquessa Quenia Igniseri, embarked upon a tour of their lands. Their goal was to introduce Aiden to his new people, and to recruit for the army to make up for some of the losses suffered in the actions at Setarco and Stormwall.
While initially lukewarm to him, the people warmed up over time - and especially with the endorsement of their Duchess, and also Quenia, long-time friend of their ruling family. The tour is generally successful, highlighting Aiden's military experience and diplomatic connections. The people cheer - and start signing up when recruitment time comes around.
