Lord Reve Darkwater
Are you implying I like to start trouble? Really?
Description: Sharp facial features are made all the more severe with no shortage of expression. This noble does not care if his pleasure or disdain is readily viewed. Full lips are as easily tugged into a content, self-satisfied smile as they are a sneer. Stubble or light beard does nothing to hide how he feels. While he is naturally handsome, he displays the type of confidence that attracts some and makes others cringe at his arrogance. He is tall, broad shouldered, and with an athletic frame that he readily uses to dominate the space he is in.
Personality: If one believes in aligning a personality to an element, Reve would be flame. There is no shortage of enjoying the finest things in life, wallowing in numerous passionate pursuits, but it all comes at the cost. His temper is a hair-trigger thing, with a scowl turning into a simmering rage that lasts day, or a defeat resulting in melancholy. Perhaps that is why animals do not take kindly to him.
Background: Reve Halfshav was born the cousin of the main Halfshav line and a lady from House Tessere. It was a political marriage, with the Lycene lady brought north to lend a certain air of refinement. A refinement that the couple hoped would be passed on to their son. So it should be of no surprise that the boy was tutored from a young age and when he turned eight years old he was customarily fostered by his mother's family.
What was unexpected however was, when he turned sixteen years old, that he did not return to his Halfshav kin immediately. Oh, certainly he visited, he declared himself in good health with a scowl and glared at anyone that insisted on knowing why he would not come home. At first House Tessere was thought to be blamed, but no, he was off and adventuring all through the south of Arvum on some quest that only he knew the purpose of.
He found the usual troubles on his adventures. A fight here, a rival there, and he even found love as well. It was a short lived thing, for even though they played at the idea of a love match, in the end they knew it was purposeless. No more than a passionate fever dream in the midst of summer. Then the Gyre War happened. Reve went of course, ready to throw himself into battle and try to tame that fire within him. He broke from his group, mad with rage and drunk on arrogance, only to find that he was not actually eight feet tall and with the strength of ten men.
He was found on the sandy shore of Setarco by a Mercy, badly beaten and bloodied, but luckily able to be restored to health once more. He left Setarco as quickly as he arrived, and once more renewed his travels, driven by that purpose only he knew. Until, finally and perhaps unexpectedly for family, he found his homecoming in Arx.
