Rosalie arrives, following Corbit.

2 Armed Confessors arrives, following Elloise.

2 Armed Confessors have been dismissed.

delicious smells waft from the various food on display here, the room hasn't been extensively decorated for this particular dinner as this is a mostly a small, private gathering, though the table is set impeccably as servents come laying out even more food, Corbit comes down from the stairs with Rosalie in tow, they're both flushed and their hair is still damp, Corbit looks very pleased with himself and smiles at sheepishly at everyone before finding himself a seat at the table.

2 Armed Confessors have been dismissed.

On the other hand, you have Fairen who arrives from the library, with Hannah not too far behind him. He moves and settles down at his seat at the table, giving Rosalie and Corgi a grin and a nod of his head. "Evening, you too." He offers with a light smile. "I would ask how you are doing, but I don't think that is necessary."

Moving behind Fairen from the library, Hannah smiles at all arrived and goes to the table to take a seat. "Hello all."

Elloise is here - really here and present (mostly) and she actually looks tired (ish) and dressed up (a little too much, in her opinion.) The train of the umbra gown is long enough for a short, boot-clomping absent-minded scientist trip up -- but (thankfully) Elloises weeble and wobble but down fall down. (Yet.) She hits her spot at the table, barely out of breath, "Hi family, hey-hello there. Cheese, er, sorry Edward will not be attending. He's got barony stuff. Apparently when you're the one in charge there's a LOT of paperwork."

Rosalie offers a cheery and unrepentant smile to one and all, the pink in her cheeks really only enhancing the sparkle in her eyes and cat-that-ate-the-canary expression on her face. She seats herself next to Corbit and offers a friendly, "Hello!" to everyone. Fairen gets a giggle and her eyes dart to Corbit briefly, then back to Fairen, "Very satisfied, Marquis. Thank you. And how are you doing?" Elloise get a smile and a small finger-wave from Rosalie as she settles in at the table.

Flanked by a pair of long-suffering and mud-stained guards, Arcadia traipses in from the courtyard outside; her gait teetering on her toes, full of a nimble and manic grace that constantly puts her on the verge of falling. But no matter what, she catches herself, her movements smooth and bouyant. A slim hand brushes up from her side and ruffles through her wild puff of blonde hair, sending stray twigs and leaves flying out onto the floor. She's been in the forest again. "Mmn. Huh," she chirps out, noticing the gathered diners. "People," she notices, quite astutely. "... Brother," she notices second, lashes fluttering in surprise. "... Food!" she notices last, tummy grumbling quite noticeably as she drifts towards the dining table.

"You don't say?" Fairen offers towards Elly with a wide, amused grin over towards the new Baroness. Then he looks back between Rosalie and Corgi, chuckling softly. "Good. I'm glad you two seem to be getting along so well. Personally, I'm doing quite well." Then he begins to dish out his food, placing cheeses, meats and other options onto his plate and digging in with small, light bites of his food. Then Cady arrives and he grins over at her. "Yes, food! Come eat!"

Corbit grins at Fairen and pours himself a glass of wine, offering to pour for Rosalie, he takes a sip, at Rosa's response to Fairen he near chokes on it, sputtering a bit he covers his mouth with his napkin, coughing which turns into a laugh, he simply shakes his head regaining his composure, and starts piling cheese, meat and fruit on his plate, he grins to Rosalie, "Help yourself." he says, "We're not fancy." he tells her with a nod to Cady, "Hey Cady!"

"Hi, cousin Fairen! Hello, new friend! Hello, CORGI. Hi, Rosalie. CAAAAADY!" Cue Elloise's tiny flailing hands that are still grimy with soot and grease and oh-gods-who-knows-what. "You've been exploring again, haven't you? I -- I have to talk to you soon -- about STUFF." She emphasizes with a serious nod and wide eyes. "Am I shouting again? I am, aren't I? I forget to use my indoors voice when the room's a easier sized space to speak in. At the Bayview, I wind up shouting across it. Whoops."

Eyes watching this lovely dynamic, Hannah covers her mouth to hide a smile before picking up her own wineglass. At being greeted as new friend, Hannah gives Ellouise a warm smile, "Hello, I am Lady Hannah Wyrmguard, it is a pleasure to meet you."

Oli, a flute playing apprentice with green eyes arrives, following River.

"I'm glad to hear that, Marquis! And yes, we're getting along... swimmingly," Rosalie responds with a soft giggle, looking to the wine and biting her lip before offering a small nod. "Just one glass though, Corbit. Please, don't let me have a second." Then she's giving a nod and pulling some food onto her own plate. Smiling warmly towards Elloise, she seems charmed by the woman's energy, then looks to Hannah with a smile, "Ah! The other non-Leary in the room! Hello, Lady Hannah, its a pleasure to meet you!"

Laughing softly first at Corbit, then over at Elly as she flails and mentions how she -might- be shouting, Fairen is just watching his family with amusement. "You -are- shouting, aren't you? I hadn't even noticed." He teases towards Elly, giving her a playful wink. Then he looks over at Hannah, observing her introduce herself to the family. "Please, don't be shy. Dig in." As Rosalie mentions getting along with Corbit, he chuckles and looks back at her. "That's fairly clear, yes."

River makes his way down the stairs and into the Salon with a sleepy sort of blink, then another more aware blink coupled with the glance of everyone around. "And here I was just expecting to have something light to eat. Hello everyone, My Lord Marquis..." He drifts over and makes sure he's at least presentable.

Corbit nods to Hannah and raises his wine glass to her, "It's a pleasure to meet you Lady Hannah." he says, "I'm Lord Corbit Leary or just Corgi if you prefer I guess. I'm new to the city, though Fairen has been excellent at making me feel at home. Which is quite gracious of him, you know, considering he lost his position as the best looking Leary man in Arx." he tells her then grins at his cousin taking a bit of food.

"You're in Arx," Cady points out to Corbit, butt now firmly in the seat of a dining chair, her quick grass-strained hands snatching out a little bit of everything for her soon-to-be pile of a plate. "Just what we need! More bookwor---Hiiii!" Arcadia's sentence is cut into a high-pitched squeak as Elloise's abruptly raised voice demands her attention. "Stuff," the equally-dirty Leary sister repeats back to Elly, "As long as it's not boring stuff," she supposes. "Stuff is broad. Generally, I like stuff. But there's also a lot of stuff I don't!" With a flick of her wrist, a chunk of goat cheese is arching through the air and landing in her mouth. She chews it.

"Master River! Good to see you again." Fairen greets towards the Whisper with a cheerful smile and gestures towards the table. "Please, come join us. We're having a family dinner." As Corgi mentions that he isn't the best looking Leary man in Arx any more, he grins and looks back at him. "Why, did uncle Darmik arrive too?" He teases, then grins and looks back at Elly and Cady, watching them with amusement.

A nod to Rosalie, "The pleasure is mine," a nod to Corbit as well, "Ah Corgi it is then, I do appreciate a good nickname." Arcadia's near labeling of bookworm gets another hidden smile as she settles in to eat, her manners rather impeccable.

Glancing up at Corbit, Rosalie gives him a grin at his boast of unseating his cousin as the best looking Leary man in the city, leaning in to whisper something to him before straightening again. SHe lifts her glass to sip carefully at his wine, setting it back down again. Lifting a hannd towards River, she smiles, "Hello! I'm Lady Rosalie Retyde, its a pleasure to meet you!" Looking over to Arcadia, she giggles softly, "I'm afraid you'll have to add another bookworm to the pile... I'm one myself."

"Is this discussion about appearances, only based on blood or affiliation, because if it is the latter, I demand not to be ignored," River quips with amusement, as he drifts to the table and settles down with a whisper of silk. "I could really just play light music if you pref--are those candied dates?" all thought goes out the window as he reaches over and plucks one up.

"Blood, but affiliation could be considered as well. In that case, the title would then go to..." Fairen replies towards River, grinning as he intentionall drags out his words. "Abalene, of course. Even if she would prefer to eat my fingers." At that, he chuckles, the looks over at Rosalie as she informs Cady there is another bookworm at that table. "Sorry Cady, being surrounded by those who like to read, is sort of a byproduct of being in a family that is known for it's literary interests."

River checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 28 higher.

"You...wound me, My lord, clearly I have not been doing my best to impress," River states with a gesture of a hand that draws attention to his dragon bracelet. "Truly painful."

Elloise picks with a little more care: this - this - and that. Not that - yes, please - more of that. She seperates her food in tidy little sections and decides that today she'll be eating clockwise around her plate. Mostly green foods with some other stuff for color. She starts eating in earnest, speaking in between bites. "It's not bored stuff. It's stuff about things that you told me, Arcadia. You know." Way too vague. "But I'll tell you when there's more time." A beat. "Hello, River Whisper. I need to talk to too many people -- my head's too full."

Corbit grins at River, "Might as well help yourself." he says, then pops a piece of cheese in his mouth, though he's not as theatrical about it as Arcadia, when Rosalie says something quietly to her he grins and says something back, "Rosalie, you should tell Fairen what you found in those old religous texts you were looking through." he says, "He might be interested in it." he tells her.

A look of surprise before Hannah finishes taking a bite and listens to the conversation as before with apparent interest.

Though hidden before, a small critter that has apparently nested in Arcadia's hair now makes itself known. A puffy yellow canary with feathers as yellow as its owner's hair pokes its head out of the top of Cady's, chirping with hunger. "Shhhh, Puff," the youngest of the Learies groans, pinching out some seeds from the top of her bread roll to sprinkle into the little thing's beak. "Oooooo." Elloise has Arcadia's full attention, pale blue eyes wide with intrigue. In fact, she's fidgeting restlessly now, unable to keep still. "Oh, can't you tell me now?" It's almost a whimper.

Wrinkling his nose up in playful amusement, Fairen grins back at River and shakes his head lightly. "While I have not failed to be impressed by your charms and so forth, I don't know if you've really spent much time with Abalene. She is quite beautiful." He offers with a chuckle, then he looks over at Rosalie and Corgi, arching his brow at them. "I think she mentioned it before, but did not go into detail, correct?" He asks, turning his attention over to Rosalie more. Then he peers at Cady, and the bird in her hair. "You should make sure to feed Puff, crazy lady."

Oli, a flute playing apprentice with green eyes leaves, following River.

Corbit's whisper has her brows jumping up before a grin spreads across her lips and she whispers back to him. In a more normal tone of voice, Rosalie demurs, "He already knows what I'm researching, and besides, it still isn't finished. I need to pick up Nox'alfar before I can hope to translate all the texts I need to... and possibly the missing fourth one as well. So it may be awhile before I can truly get to the bottom of it." She looks extremely pleased at the thought of ongoing research to be done. Nodding to Fairen, she smiles, "That's correct. Mostly because I don't have much detail to go on yet. We're still in the middle of researching the base religion the Faith of the Pantheon was founded on. Hopefully we'll be able to learn more after this week."

"It's so very cute, Arcadia," Elloise mutters, completely distracted by the bird in her sister's hair. She's watching the canary now, fully, and has forgotten what she was going to say next. Twirling her fork in her hand, she adds. "Hm? Oh, yes -- Archlector Aureth has an asshole crow named Binky. I thought I wanted a dog. Maybe I'll get a raven. They're very intelligent. We seem to have a bird theme going and I think it needs to be continued." A beat. "Oh, not here, Arcadia. Not about this."

"Oh? It just so happens I am familiar with Nox'alfar. After all, I am supposed to be an Elven Histories Expert in the Scholars." Fairen explains towards Rosalie, somewhat skipping past the secret conversation Rosa and Corgi seem to be sharing. "Ah, well then. If I wasn't already dumping all of my time into a seperate research project, I would love to help you." He notes, then looks over at Elly. "Get an Eagle."

"Ravens eat corpses," Cady points out to Elloise, though it's unclear whether or not she's mentioning that fact as a pro or a con. A forkful of meat silences her for a moment, wide and curious eyes dancing around the table with an unrestrained energy. She crinkles her nose at Elloise's dismissal, narrow shoulders turning down into disappointed slumps. "Y'could whisper it," she complains, mouth still wrapped around the silverware.

Corbit just watches his family amusedly, seemingly happy as he eats his food with the occasional murmur to Rosa, nods "I mentioned you were my cousin to.... I can't remember her name, I'm terrible with names and she immeadiately was aware of you work on Ancient Elves." he says, "Seems you have a bit of a reputation that I need to at least match." he says, "Stiff competition in the Leary family." he says happily before draining his wine and pouring himself another glass.

Hannah seems to tilt forward suddenly but does nothing more than smile charmingly and say, "Excuse me, I seem to be a clutz tonight."

Cady gets a sidelong glance from Corbit, "Exactly what do you think is on your fork?" he asks.

"Oooh, that's true. He could be the morgue's mascot," Elloise warbles, offering the widest smile toward her plate, then she takes a bite of roll. Chew-chew. "Mm? Oh, yeah -- I can --" she swallows her mouthful and gestures at Arcadia. Leaning aside to mutter toward the youngest (and a little taller) Leary's ear.

When Corgi mentions his work on Ancient Elves, Fairen grins back at him and nods his head. "You don't have to -compete- with me, Corgi... You could help me. We all have the power to work together on family projects." He mentions, looking around at everyone gathered. "In fact, I'm confident that if we work together, our Leary reputation will only be magnified. Try to encourage others to mention your reputation in a positive way, when you do favors for them. Like teaching them something."

"I'm aware, Marquis. Scholar Tern was all too happy to tell me earlier," Rosalie offers with a grin towards Fairen. Lifting her glass, she goes to take a sip, glances at the glass, then decides better of it and sets it back down. "But I would be delighted if you could round out my linguistics training with Nox'alfar!" He gets a bright smile before she's glancing towards Elloise and Cady, giggling at their back and forth. Murmuring something quickly to Corbit.

"Huh?" Cady asks back with a blink, her entire figure pausing at Corbit's question. For a moment, she just stares at her older brother in confusion. Then, as if to find an answer to the query, Cady gradually slides the fork out from between her lips, eyes crossing at the pronged tip of it. "Nothing," she declares, turning it in the light. It sparkles. "Well. Saliva," she says with a helpless giggle rolling out from the back of her throat. "The morgue? Have you been? I want to see." She leans in towards Elly, balancing surprisingly well on a single buttcheek on the edge of her chair in order to do so. "Oh, well, I figured that much out!"

Corbit sighs, "The meat that was on there." he says with a grin to Cady, he nods to Fairen, "Of course not, but friendly competition makes it more fun." he says, "Even if we are both working on the same stuff. What either of us learns is of course a benefit to us both and everyone else. No reason there can't be some good natured teasing to go along with it.

"Consider it done, my Lady." Fairen answers easily towards Rosalie with a nod of his head towards her. "I will put you on the list then." He offers, then arches his brow up in amusement. "I wonder, what else was Scholar Tern saying about me? You and Sir Ober seemed to have been involved in quite the joke that I completely missed." He offers, not sound in the least upset for saying so. Then he looks back at Cady and Elly. "What are you two plotting, I wonder?" As Corgi makes mention of the challenge, he grins and looks back at him. "I will warn you... I was not titled Senior Scholars for no reason at all."

"Well, yeah -- " Elloise takes another mouthful of food, chew-chew, sip, gulp. "I work there. In the morgue. I'm the assistant coroner now underneath Inquisitor Godric's mentorship. SO. Having a carrion-bird would be perfect. It can loom and I can teach it to talk." She blinks. Returning to the rest of the table's conversation. She beams at Rosalie, "You speak 'alfar like cousin Fairen? Have you met any yet? Prince Niklas Grayson said he did -- and a prince -- but he didn't tell me much more than that."

Corbit nods to Fairen, "I need to learn it from you too." he says, "Otherwise, I'm going to get to a point in our research where I can't go any further." he explains taking another bite, "Also, I've been thinking I should join the Scholars Of Velichor." he tells him, "I figured you could help me with that too."

"Excellent, thank you so much, Marquis. This means a lot to me," Rosalie offers a blinding smile towards Fairen, looking excited at the prospect of learning a new language, or at least a new dialect! She takes a bite of her food, then laughs softly and shakes her head, "Really, there wasn't anything to it. When you asked me which path I meant to take upon joining the Scholars, I made the joke about the Archlector to say that I wasn't planning on becoming Godsworn. So I will rise as far in the order as I am able.. except for her position." Looking back to Elloise, she giggles gently and nods, "Yes, the Marquis is the one that's been teaching me the elven dialects! I haven't yet, but I will at the Gala! I plan to try and speak with him while I can. I have a few questions for him regarding my current research."

There's something of a quiet pout from Cady as the conversation shifts back to things like languages and scholars. Click. Clack. As youngest daughters that are bored at dinner are prone to do, Cady just kind of pokes the end of her fork into her plate, shifting around her messy assortment of piled foodstuffs.

"Are you referencing Prince Tyrval Ael'Noctis, Elly?" Fairen asks towards the inventive, lady cousin. "I've spoken with him myself once. But I wouldn't recommend anyone at this table doing so themselves without at least taking the time to study Nox'alfar diplomacy." Then he looks over at Corgi and shakes his head. "With our current subject, I highly doubt it. Also, my records show you, you are a Student in the Scholars. I can give you the initial testing, if you wish. I am doing the same for Lady Hannah as well. We can schedule a time to do so." Then he looks over at Rosalie and nods his head. "Ah, I must have missed the context entirely then. As for trying to speak with the Crown Prince, just becareful, I suspect. Dealing with an elf is never certain how it will play out."

"Arcadia -- and, and, you know what -- uhm -- I live in a bar now. It's got a lot of rum in it. A lot. But, I had to make room for my little forge. And the alchemy station. Have you met any pirates yet? You should join the Iron Guard. Or, you know, become a mercenary." Elloise is being very helpful, you see. VERY. Then she directs her attention to Fairen, nodding. Although her nose crinkles up at the word 'diplomacy'. "Oh, no thank you. I am only interested in their anatomy. What makes them so long-lived? What happens with a child that's half 'alfar? Do they live half as long as their parent -- but still longer than a human? What do their insides look like?" She stops to stuff her face with food again.

Corbit nods at Fairen, "Yeah, I kind of went off and did my own thing. But I'm not really, you know, involved." he explains "I want to change that." he takes a sip of his wine, "I would like to take the test. The whole 'student' thing I think doesn't suit me very much." he says then piles some more food on his plate, "If you wouldn't mind excusing us?" he asks, "I promised to show Rosalie a book I have." he explains, "She's like us, can't keep her away from the books."

"I will, thank you, Marquis. I've studied the journals about him, and the proclamations, the minutes from various events where he was present. I believe I have a good grasp on how to approach him, and I know enough about the Nox'alfar that I am relatively certain I can avoid actively offending him, though I can do nothing about my, um, humanness." Rosalie responds to Fairen with a smile, seeming confident in her ability to speak to the Nox'alfar Prince without too much difficulty. She pauses to stare at Elloise for a few moments, but then Corbit is excusing them and she's grinning at his offered excuse. "Oh yes! I've been looking forward to reading this book, so please do excuse us!" Without hesitation, she reaches out, lifts her wineglass to drain what's left, then looks to Corbit with a smile.

"You live in a bar? Is that part of being a... bar-oness?" Cady's eyes go wide for a moment as she puts that wordplay together, but her expression immediately sours after. She hated it, even though she was the one who said it! "Ugh," is Arcadia's only response to "things" that she should do with her "life." She just rolls her eyes at Elly's suggestions, and plops a forkful of food into her mouth, chewing as she talks. "Mercenary, maybe," she murmurs with a brief glimmer in her eye.

"That... The answer to those questions will come later." Fairen replies back to Elly. Which seems to be all he has to say on the subject for now, and he instead looks over at Cady. "Or... You know, Cady, I was thinking... Maybe I've been too harsh on you for your choices. Have you considered being involved with the Leary Army?" He asks, arching his brow up at this particular cousin. "I have some plans, and if you train correctly, and show you can make the right choices... There are a lot of options we can discuss here." Then he looks back at Rosa and Corgi and nods his head. "Of course. Thank you both for coming." Though he smiles and nods his head at Rosa. "We'll talk research later, then."

"I'll... figure it out!" Cady replies in a whine, her head drooping down under the family pressure.

Corbit nods to Fairen with a grin and grabs the plate then heads out, he stops and says something quietly to Elly before grabbing a bottle of wine and heading back up the stairs.

"Sorry-not-sorry, Rosalie. Scientist. Medical stuff. Harlequin. I did better this time, though, because I didn't talk about the dead --" she looks over at Arcadia, blink-blinking at her sister. "No. A la-bar-atory." Elloise cracks a sudden smile before she starts to giggle, "Sorry. That was terrible. It wasn't mean to be, uhm, you know a MOM thing, Cady. Just more ideas. Ideas are good. Ideas inspire adventures. Or experiments. Or experimental adventures." Elloise stops, leaning in to listen to Corbit

"Oh no, don't be sorry! It was fascinating to hear the pattern of questioning in my head spill out from someone else's mouth is all! We should talk more sometime, and you can mention the dead all you like, I'm not squeamish!" Rosalie rushes to reassure Elloise, pausing while Corbit and Elloise have a small exchange.

"Cady..." Fairen offers, his tone much more soft for her. "I'm not trying to pressure you into anything. I'm trying to... I thought you might be -happy- that I... You know what, never mind." He decides, shaking his head at her. At the joke Elly makes, he grins and looks over at her. "If that was terrible, then I must be terrible myself. Very good humor."

Rosalie leaves, following Corbit.

"DO you think they're going to really look at a BOOK?!" Elloise shouts as they (Corgi and Rosa) head up the stairs.

"Well, I don't want to be a Knight or anything, but I'd love to train with the Army," Arcadia eventually says back to Fairen, lips almost forming a smile as her older cousin gets quite characteristically frustrated with her. She pouts then, leaning her forearms into the edge of the table. "It is hard to find someone to train me. Everyone is so busy..."

"Not likely." Fairen notes towards Elly, letting out a soft chuckle and shaking his head at her lightly. "Or at least, the book will only be the beginning of their adventure." Then he looks back at Cady and nods his head at her. "Well, I was thinking perhaps, with the right training, you could be the Commander for the Archers unit in the Leary Army. Or, perhaps we could branch off and make a sort of Special Forces for Leary Army."

"We need to find her a teacher, cousin Fairen. Is there anyone in Ashford that's not busy? Or, uhm, I can ask around -- oh -- in my new fealty! Although I'm still getting used to it. I'm not sure they'll pay attention to the new Baroness yet. But, I won't know until I try. So, I will! What do you want to learn, Ar-cady-uh? Archery or sword-stuff?" Elloise pushes away her plate and sits back into her chair.

For a little while longer, Arcadia maintains that usual squirmy droop-shouldered hunch she gets into when talking about jobs or responsibilities. But, something Fairen says this time has her lighting up, and she perks up into a more graceful poise, eyes bright with wonder. "Commander of Archers?" A pause. "But I'm not nearly good enough..." Another pause. "Well, I'm quite naturally talented, though." Her head tics back and forth, weighing several overlapping thoughts. "With enough training, I could definitely do it!" Her toes wiggle in her boots, heels knocking against the legs of her chair. "Truly? You'd let me? Even though it's dangerous?" Then, to Elloise: "Oh, everything. Swords, yes. Archery, yes, but I'd need someone better than me. I'd like to learn how to dodge attacks better, too!"

"No, I agree. Finding an Archery teacher shouldn't be -this- difficult. I have no idea why it is. I can post a request myself, to see if perhaps my name generates more interest in finding a trainer in archery." Fairen says towards Elly, then looks over at Cady and raises a hand as if to suggest she should calm down some. "I would want you to show me, just like Cora has, that you can make the right, most intelligent decision. That when you need to, you will pause and take what time you need to plan and strategize. So, you would need leadership training, you would need training in war and tactics... Then, and only then will I consider it. I still want you to be safe, but if you can prove to me you can be careful about what you are doing, then yes."

"I'll ask my Edward --" Elloise murmurs, "I know that he's a fighter because it seems as though almost everyone in the Thrax fealty has some degree of martial skill. As for an archery instructor I will see if he knows someone. That way, Cady, you will have me AND cousin Fairen working on something that you'd be GOOD at and might enjoy doing for longer than a week," she grins over at her younger sister. "Even if you don't, you'll still learn something new, right?"

"... Nnn." Cady's nose crinkles more and more at each word Fairen speaks -- leadership, war, and tactics. "I suppose," she mutters, fork idly twisting into a piece of uneaten, soggy bread. "If I must." She begins to segment it with the side of her fork for no real apparent reason. "You can do a lot in a week!" Cady mentions brightly to Elloise.

"Between the two of us, we should be able to find an instructor." Fairen agrees towards Elly, then he looks over at Cady and wrinkles his nose up at her. "Listen, I know you want to get out and see the world to some extent. I know you want to live some adventure, and if you want to do that in the manner I'm speaking, leading Leary Soldiers, then you'll need to agree with my wishes on the matter. Just learn how to keep yourself safe, and your soldiers safe... And the ball is in your court, so to speak. If you can consistently prove you have the right mindset for it, I can hardly stand in your way."

"Oh, cousin Fairen --" Elloise starts to sing-song with an uncertain note in her tone, then, she shakes her head and turns around to go rummaging through the bag she set beneath her chair. "I have a thing to show you. Arcadia too, even if it's not an arrow. It's still interesting. I think."

Elloise gets bronze lacework rose with carnelian center from a strangely spacious battered black leather satchel of holding stuff and things.
