The Festival of Colors was fun! I defended the Southern Dunes with Sir Jeffeth, Lord Islin, Lady Fianna, and Lady Amarantha. I think. There weren't formal sides and we mostly just threw a lot of eggs with colored powder inside at each other. I'm never sure I'm particularly good at honoring Jayus. I'm not crafty or particularly good at pretty things. But I felt bright and joyous during this whole thing, which I think is good enough for the gods. All honors to Blessed Wylla and Princess Marian for organizing this fine game.

Sun shines down overhead of the festival, not a cloud in the sky. A soft breeze comes in off the water. The sounds of the waves crash softly against the sand as light hearted music plays from a band of players that are entertaining the masses.

The Northern and Southern Dunes have been sectioned off for festival visitors to throw powdered eggs at each other. Beneath the Trees is a stand where guests can purchase powdered eggs in red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple eggs are available for a small donation that is going for another Soup Kitchen in Arx. Other vendors have set up stands around the wooden picnic table for drinks and food. Chairs have been set up on the Quiet Strand for those that want to watch the mock powder battles on the dunes.

<<OOC Note: Donations can be given to the hosts, Marian or Wylla. Places are actively being used for this event. If you're not on the dunes, you can't throw powdered eggs at folks. Let's give everyone a few minutes to pose in and then Marian will start the speeches to kick off the event.>>

Splat, a tiny calico kitten have been dismissed.

Giuseppe, a kindly old man have been dismissed.

Agatha has joined the Northern Dunes.

Luca has joined the Northern Dunes.

Ysbail has joined the Northern Dunes.

Drysi, a young shaman apprentice, GusGus, the fluffy Whitehold Mountain puppy arrive, following Khanne.

This news just in from the beaches, Agatha Redrain is capable of wearing dresses! She just does so on specific occasions. When she can wear simple, though decently tailored, white dresses that will get horribly messy so they can be used as artwork. She seems willing to amass a small arsenal, at least if the rates aren't too exorbitant. She puts all her eggs in one basket and marches up to the northern dunes, because of COURSE she would pick the north. To the last! "Is it wrong that I can't wait to hug Elgana after this and leave her covered in a hundred colors? I hope it's not wrong."

Esoka comes to the beaches dressed down in a plain tunic, trousers, and no shoes. The tunic is sleeveless, the cut showing off her inticate web of shav'arvani tattoos. Her toes pad along the sand, down to join those gathered there. "Blessed Wylla. Princess Marian. This looks like fun! I hope it's of good help to the people in the city." She then passes Wylla a small sack filled with something-or-other.

Ysbail walk barefooted in a white feathery dress along the dunes, stopping by the station where donations are accepted and eggs procurred. With a smile, she hands over coin and receives a basket of all the colours. "This ought to go horribly," she laughs. "I'm certain I'll miss everyone and be pelted in return for my efforts." A bright, cheery wave is given to Wylla and Marian, and she lopes up the Northern dunes.

Show up for something? On time and on purpose? Not Luca. He just happened to be close, because he was having a walk along the beach. Brooding, no doubt, until he notices people are gathered up ahead. He might as well investigate, and so he does. The closer he gets, the more he realizes, and when he's finally there, he says, "Oh /this/ festival of colors. It's /today/?" as he approaches Marian and Wylla, offering the former a familiar grin. "I mean, I guess if I'm here, I might as well get in on this for a bit. I can think of a lot of trouble I can get into, covered in colors. He has to search himself, patting down for silver, but does finally manage to remember that he's got some on him, which he passes along. "Oh look at this. A week's worth of Grayson allowance. I just happened to have it.."

Princess Marian Redrain smiles as the first group of visitors arrive at the Festival of Colors. She is dressed in a simple white silk dress and slippers, her baby bump is clearly showing. She moves over to wear the band is playing, motioning them to stop so she can speak to the crowd, "Thank you for coming today to the Festival of Colors, sponsored by the Faith and Northlands Development Council. We have powdered eggs that you can purchase for a small donation over at that stand beneath the trees. All proceeds go to building another Soup Kitchen in the Lowers. These eggs break on contact and cover one with colored powder. Valery and other alchemists in the city have spent a lot of time and effort putting the powder in these eggs. Please accept our thanks for the donation of your time and effort." She claps for those that had a hand in helping make the eggs. Make sure these eggs are thrown on the Northern and Southern Dunes. Refrain from melees outside of those areas, since not everyone here wants to be dipped in color. Please for safety reasons avoid throwing the powder in the face. It's flour and dye, but still, not one wants to choke on powder."

Now that Marian has given the ground rules, she calls her two other hosts to the stage, "Also, I would like to introduce to the stage a woman with a kind heart and colorful vision, the Archlector Wylla." She claps her hands and steps aside so the archlector can start her speech.

Marian has joined the Beneath Trees.

Margret arrives on the beach, noticeable from the distance by those that know her by her distinctive limp. She is dressed in a simple linen gown and her shoes have been taken off and are held in one hand as she makes her way down to the beach properly. She stops when Marian makes the announcement before she heads to the egg table to give her donation and select some eggs.

Wylla is dressed in white -- not in her Archlector's robes, but in a rather simpler shift, at least ready to get hit by paint. She reaches out for the sack, taking it, setting it aside to one of the Jayus disciples who attends the festival. A wave for Ysbail, and then she stares a little at Luca, taken aback by that little show, shooting Marian an uncertain smile, quiet and clearly unsure of how to respond at first. "Thank you," she tells Luca. She's trying. And then, Marian calls her, and she clears her throat and steps onto the stage:

"We've come here today to shake off some of the doldrums from the winter and to raise funds for the Soup Kitchen run by Mistress Mae Culler, who unfortunately couldn't be here today! We hope you have fun. This festival was Princess Marian's idea, but it will be very colorful, I hope, and it will let us relax and get to know one another without pressure! Please note Mistress Valery has made these eggs so that the powder can be washed off in the water. If you are inspired to use any of these colors to draw, or paint, or sew, or create, please stop by the Shrine and let us know! We hope this proves inspirational in its own way." And then, abruptly, she's silent.

Margret has joined the Northern Dunes.

Islin arrives wearing a billowing poet's shirt of white silk and a pair of white leather trousers. Yes white leather. He is barefoot as well strolling across the sands and eyeing the sea with a fond look. He pauses at the place where donations are given and hands over a small purse before procuring several eggs and placing them into a small basket that he has carried in preparation. Bowing his head politely to the hosts he moves towards the southern dunes with a slight bounce to his step, moving with surprising ease through the sand.

The large form of Jeffeth Bayweather stalks out onto the beach. Wearing just trousers and a tunic. They may not be white. But they're an offwhite. It's close! The big man glances around smiling brightly to Ysbail, Agatha, and Luca. Each getting a quick, yet deep nod from the man, his fist pressed against his chest the whole time. The big man then makes his way for the dunes as he tries to catch the tail end of what the festivities are.

Jeffeth has joined the Southern Dunes.

Esoka has joined the Southern Dunes.

Islin has joined the Southern Dunes.

Bedlam, a devoted doberman puppy, 1 Igniseri scarlet phoenix guards, Aubyn--An aloof lycene noble arrive, following Amarantha.

Esoka pads over to the Dunes, flashing Jeffeth and Islin a big, toothy grin as she finds a spot in the southern area to loiter. "I've been looking forward to this. I enjoy occasions where I get to throw things. And it's for a good cause and all." A small bow of her shoulders offered to Wylla and Marian as they make their opening remarks.

Marian moves over to the stand where they're offering powdered eggs for a donation. She gives smiles to all the come by to purchase them, handing out the baskets personally. She glances at where the melee is about to begin. She gives a big grin, "And don't forget, if you get thirsty, there are food stands and drinks over at the picnic table." She looks eager to see how the powder looks on everyone that's participating.

Agatha thumps her fists against her chest when she sees Jeffeth. Then there's some pointing at him, pointing down... some sort of long distance across the dunes sign language trash talk of sorts going down. All with a big cheery grin on her face, though!

Chip, a small mouse, Boots, Teela arrive, following Valery.

Khanne finds her way to the beaches in time to hear the speeches. She stands there listening for a moment then applauds after Marian and Wylla speak. Normally (at least lately) she is dressed in a riot of floral colors to begin with, but today, she is not wearing such cheery things, dressed instead in a very sleek, simple, white silk sheath dress that leaves shoulders and arms bare, and falls in a fluttering hem just below her knees. It's July. It's the beach... the Northerner is probably far too warm. "Colors!" She shouts as she applauds. "This should be fun!" She looks about for who best to give her donation too while waving to people she knows. "Now, where should I go?"

"What? A nod's all I get, Jeffeth?!" Luca teases as he passes the man, flashing him a grin. He's headed for a dune, it would seem, with his basket of colored eggs. Up it he goes, taking Agatha's offered hand for the last few steps, "Well, if it isn't the Bear. I'm healing fine. Healed, even. I don't know if Ribbons will make it. She's been beside herself with work. It's my duty to have all the fun for her, I think." He winks at the woman when he finishes cresting the dune. He nudges the Bear playfully, and turns to find Ysbail there with her hand out, which he gladly shakes, giving her a once-over with his dark gaze. "Luca Grayson. I think I'd remember if we met.", he promises, giving her a grin, "A pleasure though. We'll be throwing eggs together, it seems."

Valery may arrive a bit late but she brings reinforcements! Her and Teela come, rushing a bit, with a couple of baskets (apart of the mice basket, of course) with more eggs to add to the others. The apothecary is also dressed in white, an apron skirt and her usual blouse. She moves to leave the basket near Marian.

Khanne has joined the Northern Dunes.

Ysbail looks over from Luca and beams at Khanne. "You've got two choices!" she calls out to her friend. "You're either with me? Or over there." She laughs. "Not very dramatic, I know, but those really -are- your choices." Then she turns back to Luca with a crooked grin. "Yeah. I kind of stand out. For some reason." The shaman then retracts her hand and pulls her long braids over her shoulders.

Dwarfing the apothecary, the exceptionally tall Teela moves along behind Valery in her own pink dress that drops down over her boots. A violet flower tucked into her hair on one side. She smiles warmly watching the smaller woman and keeps close moving with her, all the while she looks around to those gathered. Princess Marian gets a wiggle of fingers in greeting when the basket is dropped off and then she moves to keep following along behind Valery.

Islin smiles brightly to Jeffeth and Esoka. The comment from the latter draws a warm sounding laugh and a nod. "It does sound fun yes! I admit I probably could use the practice at throwing things myself. Lord Islin Harthall at your service. And hello to you again Sir Jeffeth." He smiles up at the large knight warmly.

Agatha waves down at Khanne from the dunes and exclaims, "TO THE NORTH, OF COURSE!" She's got a big booming voice. It should carry. With Luca declaring himself healthy, she HMMMS. "You'd best be if you are reprsenting the northern Dune. It would not do to have you bring shame upon this ... dune." She elbows him back and grins, laughter trickling out at Ysbail's helpful response to Khanne. "It's because you wear yourself so proudly, Ysbail! Stands out all the time."

"I mean... If my choices are Northern, or Southern... I have to go Northern, don't I?" Khanne grins as she makes her ways to the Northern Dunes. "Plus, I get to be with Ys and Agatha, so how could I go wrong?" She stops by to hand her donation to Wylla.

Ysbail flashes another smile at Agatha, chin tipping up just a tad. "Aww. Thank you! I'll take that as high praise from Princess Bear..."

Margret takes a basket of the eggs, and begins climbing up the Northern Dune. She slips a few times as she climbs upwards, and lets out a little "Ugh!" as one of her eggs rolls out of it's basket, down the dune, and onto the beach below. But, she perseveres and gets to the top, albeit a little slower than someone without a limp. "Well, someone better be good at throwing these things because I am surely a handicapt!" She informs this cheerfully. You're welcome, Northern Dune team.

Wilhelm the Iron Messenger, Gene Erique, Guardsman arrive, following Sparte.

Amarantha slips into the party, struggling to walk on the sand in her heels. But she looks very determined. Upon seeing Agatha, she offers a happy little wave--hobbling over to her cousin. "You can't escape me. Venturo signed up for our sort of maybe expedition!"

Wylla smiles warmly at Khanne. "Hello! It's so great to see you here!" Beat. "I mean, it's great to see everyone here. But, um, we're... related, so." Awkward. She flushes a little red at her own words, watching as the others start to set up on their respective enemy hills, eggs and baskets in hand.

Fianna Crovane comes thundering down the path from Arx atop an utterly massive dappled grey stallion, its mane and tail streaming out behind it along with her own dark curls as she races towards the dune. Wheeling the stallion around as they get closer, she slows him from a gallop to a canter, to a trot, and finally has him walking with powerful steps across the sand. Dismounting with a graceful leap, she flips the reins of the head of her steed and leads him to the trees, tying him off and giving him a soft stroke to that broad nose while murmuring to him in a foreign tongue. Turning away from the horse, she runs a hand through windswept locks and grins, "Hello! Sorry I'm late! Where do we get the eggs and who hasn't been hit yet?"

Marian gives a grin as Valery and Teela bring more powdered eggs, "This looks great." She gives them both a grateful look, "We're getting a lot of interest today. Mae's going to be happy when she sees all the donations." She gives a grin over to Wylla as she collects some of the donations.

Sparte comes in as a little trio in guards colors, even if one of the trio is just a messenger and the other is more of a trainee than a proper guardsman still. Sparte and Gene are talking amicably and appear to be looking for to the event while, well, poor Wilhelm appears hungover.

Esoka offers Khanne a big-armed wave when she spots the shaman. Then rolls her shoulders. Getting in throwing form. "Dame Esoka Greenblood," she replies to Islin, after his introduction. "Sword of the Twainfort, and sworn knight to House Riven. I try to only throw things when it's appropriate, so I don't always get to when I want to." Alas. "It isn't hard, really. Just palm the object and hurl it very hard at your target." She peers across the dunes. "I /think/ I can hit the Northern end..." She's going to try, anyhow.

As the baskets of powdered eggs are passed out, the musicians start to play a light tune, encouraging those that have their powder to let loose the color. The glint of everyone's white outfits shine in the afternoon sun. The waves lap on the sand as anticipation rises in the air.

Luca laughs at Ysbail's words, and agrees, "You do. I can't quite put my finger on it. I bet I will, if we run into each other enough." and then the Lycene turns to look at Agatha again, "You want to ride on my shoulders for this one, Bear? I can give you at least another five feet of height. Throwing's all about angles. Imagine the people you could hit. I'm sure nobody would notice you any the easier if you were eleven feet tall or whatnot." He turns, looking around at all the gathered people, putting faces together, watching as some come and go. "I have to say, this is the second weirdest party I think I've ever been to outside of the Lyceum."

Teela notes the clothes of everyone and then he eggs. She blinks for a moment and then she blushes as she leans down to whisper something to Valery and then she gives the Princess another smile, "Your Highness, this looks like it will be some fun." she remarks as she goes to step back and she tugs on the upper portion of her dress as if it does not fit right or it is an awkward fit.

Fianna has joined the Beneath Trees.

Josephine makes her way down to the beach, stopping partway down those stairs to look over everthing that is being held with a pleasedlook on her face before moving further in to find something to do.

Amarantha has joined the Northern Dunes.

Agatha lends Khanne a hand for the last few steps of the dune, the better to make sure everyone's up on top of the dune. "Do we need a strategy? Who's really good at strategy?" She grins at Margret. "Hey, maybe you'll be the expert strategist... oh! Hey there, Mara! Um, why don't you take off your shoes, silly?" Luca? He gets a look. "I'm not as little as Reese. I worry I'd knock you down! You sure this won't end in a disastrous tumble all the way down the dune?"

2 House Velenosa Guards arrives, following Avaline.

Marian flashes a smile at Teela as she takes a donation and gives another basket of eggs out, "Oh yes, I'm curious to see who will get hit by the most eggs." She gives a wink to Valery, "Somehow I'm betting on Luca." She motions to the newcomers that arrive at the beach, "Come get your baskets here. You can leave your donations with myself or Archlector Wylla."

Over at the southern dunes, Jeffeth has been trying to gather up the smaller forces of his sandy area into a small posse. The big man marches forward on his patch of sand, glancing over to the others at the southern dune before looking to the northen dune. "Prince Luca Grayson!" The huge man bellows over the beach. Holding up a red colored egg. "Lay down your springy legs now, and we shall go easy on your compatriots." And with that, Jeffeth throws his first egg, hard, at Luca.

Khanne takes Agatha's help with a smile. "Thank you," she says. "Are we at war with the Southern Dunes? Or are we just trying to make everyone colorful?" She waves across to Esoka then. "Hello! What's your favorite color?"

Islin checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 1 higher.

Wylla is in white, collecting donations, but it doesn't seem that she's going to get involved in the egg-throwing, watching from a -- hopefully! -- safe distance, with silvers and writs in hand.

Esoka has closed her eyes and spun a finger in the air. And, when she opened them it was pointing toward...Ysbail! So, that's where she hurls her first egg. It's not the most powerful pitch on the field, but she gets it across to the Northern Dunes all right. To Khanne, she laughs. "Surprise me! For Jayus, I'll take them all."

Khanne checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 1 higher.

Fianna has left the Beneath Trees.

Fianna has joined the Southern Dunes.

Wylla has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

Ysbail meeps as the eggs start flying. One smacks her right in the chest and explodes in a puff of blue flour... The shaman blinks and then cracks up laughing. She bellows something in Crownlands Shav at Esoka and returns fire!

Teela looks at the Princess, "Well it looks like quite a fun game to play. If I had thought to wear the white I would play." she glances to her dress and then back to the Princess, "What do the donations go for? We missed the opening speeches." and then she looks at Valery, "No. I think I am fine for the moment, but I can watch the basket if you wish to." she indicates the one with the mice.

Josephine has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

"What, you don't think I could carry you, Bear? You wound me." Luca remarks, giving the large woman a troublesome sort of grin. He's really too busy talking when a red egg strikes his white leather breeches, exploding, and then he turns to his attacker. "Bayweather! You villain! I was trying to run my mouth!" In retalation, he pulls a blue egg from his basket and hurls it across the gap, straight for Jeffeth.

Ysbail says in Crownlands shav, "You're giving me WOAD?!"

Luca checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 44 higher.

"I was clearly meant for planning instead of executing." Margret says to Agatha with a bit of a grin as she hooks her basket under her arm and grabs an egg to toss at one of the of the people faaaar back on the Southern Dune. She...is not successful. In fact, she slips in the sand before she has a chance to release the egg, and falls back onto her basket. Crunch goes her eggs! Her side is colored like a rainbow, and no one has managed to hit her yet!

Silent as he can be Islin creeps his way along the southern dunes and palms an egg out of his basket. Its thrown aimed for Luca and following shortly after Jeffeth's own egg. Islin pouts and then pulls out another egg trying to sneakily lob it towards Agatha this time.

Islin checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 9 higher.

Josephine is eschewing tossing of eggs, the older woman opting for stick in the mud and heads for a picnic table to watch the collision of color though.

Luca checked dexterity + dodge at difficulty 15, rolling 58 higher.

Jeffeth checked dexterity + dodge at difficulty 15, rolling 56 higher.

Khanne says in Northlands shav, "You talk funny, Ysbail."

Agatha sees you, Fianna! Climbing that southern dune instead of the southern one. "FIANNA CROVANE, I see you choosing the south over the north! For such a dastardly act I am throwing this YELLOW egg at you!" And hey, since Islin's aiming at her, she's gonna have to try and dodge. Fly, eggy, fly!

Marian thanks Fianna for her donation before she leaves the stall where they're handing out the baskets. She turns to Teela and tells her, "We're raising donations for the Soup Kitchen. With all the refugees coming to Arx, the Soup Kitchen is starting to run over capacity so we're raising funds so they can open another one."

Agatha has rolled a critical success!
Agatha checked dexterity + dodge at difficulty 24, rolling 63 higher.

Sparte leads his small group towards Wylla, keeping his distance from the festivities proper. Fun to watch, but he doesn't want to be one of the people all covered in powder today. "Archlector. A little something for the cause."

Valery has joined the Beneath Trees.

Wylla raises a hand over her mouth at Khanne's words, but she's giggling anyway. At Josephine's approach, she waves the older woman over. "Come, Mistress Arcuri! Sit!" She looks up towards Sparte, and then adds, "Aren't you -- " But she waves him to the table too all the same.

Teela has joined the Beneath Trees.

Avaline has joined the Beneath Trees.

Sparte has joined the Wooden Picnic Table.

Valery nods to Teela and she shakes her head. She murmurs. "I don't think I'd be good at that, I'm afraid..." She keeps her eyes on the fake-fight, though, and she seems to be enjoying it much more than any other spar.

Ysbail says in Northlands shav, "I picked up the local dialect, Khanne. She's a local!"

Celeste, the realist messenger arrives, following Percephon.

Combat Roll! When Luca's blue egg comes down for Jeffeth, wonderfully thrown though it was, the Bayweather Knight is no longer there. Instead he has rolled off to the side. Eggs held carefully in his mammoth hands. He's sandy now, but not colored. The big man stands up, with a broad smile standing tall. Looking over at Luca. Well that's one target down. The big man glances next to Khanne. Another red egg is lobbed at Khanne now.

Joining the underdogs at the southern dunes, Fianna grins towards Agatha, "There's no more ROOM on your side! Besides, I always take the underdog's side!" And then SWACK, BAM, POOF! Blinking, her face and chest just covered in yellow powder, the Crovane begins to laugh. "I'll get you for that!!" She palsm her own egg, a purple one, and wings it across the way towards Agatha!

Jeffeth checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 32 higher.

Fianna checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 28 higher.

Amarantha watches the eggs be thrown for a short while, before turning towards Agatha. She throws her egg directly at her bear cousin and then sprints all the way to the southern dunes, yelling, "Never trust a Southerner."

Khanne picks through her available colors and chooses a.... bright pink egg! She smiles across at Esoka and says, "you look like you LOVE pink! Surprise!!!" She tosses the egg, trying her very best to get Esoka right in the tummy.

Amarantha checked dexterity + dodge at difficulty 15, rolling 26 higher.

Esoka laughs, a surprised but very pleased sound, at Ysbail's yell. She hollers back in return, attempting to bull around the eggs thrown her way. Though not trying too hard, really. She's here to /throw/ things, and dodging them seems incidental.

Islin arches a brow as Agatha dodges his attempts to make her more colorful. He picks up a yellow egg and throws once more towards the Bear determination showing feircely in his eyes.

Khanne checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 7 lower.

Esoka says in Crownlands shav, "Consider them battle colors, forest cousin! I hope they suit you!"

Avaline settles beneath the trees, and she giggles quietly to herself at Amarantha's antics, waving from her comfortable spot.

Luca steps to the side as Islin hurls an egg at him, cupping his mouth with one hand to call out, "That's rude! You're rude, Is!" He picks up another egg, this one also blue, checks for a target across the dunes, and allows his dark gaze to settle on Fianna. He's unfamiliar with her. What better way to meet someone than by hurling a piece of color-exploding foot at them. "Hi! I'm Luca! Sorry! Not Sorry!" and he overhands the egg across the distance at her.

Luca checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 37 higher.

Percephon arrives to the beach, because he did make a promise to Khanne that he would show up. Unfortunately, the only white he is wearing is the white silk tunic peeking from beneath layers of darker clothing. He looks for a relatively safe place to observe the festivities, looking wary.

Percephon has joined the Northern Dunes.

Agatha does a deft little move to get out of the way of Islin's incoming throw. If said move ends up putting Luca in the egg's path, SURELY that's a coincidence! "We'll test your theory on how liftable I am when there's a lull, Prince Grayson. C'mon! Let's continue this advance against our foes!" Except... except the foe was behind her! "AMARANTHA SANNA, you ... you ... " OOO<, those southern dunes are filling with traitorous sorts. This time sh'es going for Mara's lustrous, begging to be covered in colors hair! With bright bright green!

"Agatha!!!!" Khanne gets pelted with Jeffeth's most recent egg and the big man is reloading. Eyes now on the Red Bear. The Red bear needs more red. So the huge man is pelting another egg hard at Agatha.

Jeffeth checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 47 higher.

Margret starts picking through her basket for eggs she hasn't crushed which...at this point she has been made pretty colorful by falling on her own eggs. Still, there are some unbroken ones in there. She climbs up from her butt, and moves to her knees. Which isn't the best position from dodging, but it'll have to do. She gets a green egg in hand, and chucks it at Islin.

Esoka is not really so much dodging as running around and throwing with abandon, so Khanne's egg is taken right in the gut. It explodes pink upon her, and she /cackles/ with laughter. "You've a decent arm, shaman!" she allows, continuing her throwing. As she moves, her targets roam, attention switching from Ysbail to Agatha. Or anyone who gets in her egg's way, really.

Margret checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 6 lower.

Sparte looks over at the dunes, from his position of safety, and just grins at the combatants on the dunes. He is taking pleasure in their powdery treachery.

What's this? Ysbail steps INTO the egg thrown at her by Esoka?! And she's laughing with unbridled glee. "I'll wear them proudly!" she calls back as she winds up another egg and lobs it at the Prodigal Knight. "TO THE LAST!" Her platinum blonde hair is beginning to take on an opalescent sort of rainbow hue.

-- Percephon struggles not to sneeze. He'll likely fail and fall on his backside into the sandy dunes.

"ACK! INCOMIIIIIIIIIING!" Too busy calling out a warning to her fellow Dune-ites, Fianna takes Luca's egg straight to the dome, a puff of blue EXPLODING across her dark head and making her stumble a step. "Hey! No fair! I'm Fianna! Great to meet... YOUR DOOM!

Teela watches the goings on and she laughs given Luca's yelling and she giggles and then focuses back on those within the area of trees to talk quietly with them.

Islin calls back to Luca mid throw. "I am not rude! I'm daring. Theres a difference!" He grins cheekily at the Prince and misses his next throw at Agatha all together the egg dropping mid flight like a stone. He picks up a purple egg next and lobs it towards Luca. "You shouldn't call me rude your Highness! Not till you've gone drinking and played dice with me at least once." He teases the other from across the field as he stays in motion hoping to not get hit.

As the battle starts to get more heated, powder is flying everywhere. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple eggs fly about. Marian and Wylla continue to hand out baskets for donations for newcomers that want to jump into the action.

Blonde, nearly white hair really does pick up color! Lucky for Agatha as her egg explodes across the back Amarantha's head in a cloud of color. "You can take a girl out of the south but you can't get the south out of the girl! Or the poison! Or something!" She yells back to her cousin, aiming her next egg at Luca. Because he's her cousin's ally.

Khanne tosses that egg and, well, is a bit amazed when it explodes on Esoka, casting her in a cloud of pink! She laughs and as she is doing so, she gets hit with a bright red egg thrown by Jeffeth. She gasps in surprise, then laughs some more. Percephon's sneeze grasps her attention and she looks his way. "Hello love! I gave a donation for both of us, if you want to throw colored eggs!" She looks around, rolling a blue egg in her hand then. "Fianna!" She yells. "Prepare for your doom!" Then, she tosses the egg.

Agatha isn't even sure who she's dodging. It's also getting harder to see who she wants to aim at in the middle of all the colors drifting through the air. Colors are exploding on that white dress and it doesn't seem to bother her one itty bitty little bit! Mind you she's still making loud roary noises. Which probably makes her easier to aim for. "Please don't put poison IN the girl, Mara!" That said, though, she's looking for The Really Tall guy over there. You know, that Jeffethy one. For him? THer eis baby blue incoming.

Margret's egg tossed at Islin misses, and hits the ground near him with a poof of green. She picks through more broken eggshells from her basket to find an unbroken blue egg, and tosses it rather willy nilly, but it's general direction appears to be Jeffeth.

Margret checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 0 higher.

"Ysbail! I see you over there! Don't think I forgot that snowball from two winters ago!!" Fianna laughs delightedly, somehow managing to avoid Khanne's egg then lobs her own towards the shaman. "Khanne! How nice to see you again! You'd look LOVELY in purple!"

Esoka is hit, and it's a /fine fine/ hit, from that egg Ysbail throws. The thing well explodes around her, coating her hair and face and a good portion of the egg part of her tunic with colored powder. The prodigal knight lets out an approving /yell/ as she shakes some of that off. "Not bad." It doesn't slow her down, and she continues her roving assault on the Northern Dunes, pitching an egg at Khanne. A smile is flashed at Amarantha and Fianna, when she spots them. "We are defending this Dune! I don't know if we're winning or not." She doesn't sound like she cares much, though.

Esoka checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 43 higher.

"No, no thank yo--CHOO, Khanne." Percephon speaks through the sneeze, turning a appropriate shades of red as he fishes a handkerchief from his overcoat pocket.

"You look familiar! Don't I know your sister?" Luca calls out to Amarantha as he side-steps her egg, shifting behind Agatha in return for the woman's earlier attempts at the same. Just as he appears from the other side of the Bear, he's lobbing a return egg at his assailant, a blue one, his arm swinging through with a deft and graceful motion. It's like he's thrown things before. "She's rude, too!" he shouts to Islin, "You're all rude over there! I just showed up for the wine and I'm feeling so attacked right now!" He looks almost like he's going to fling an egg at Islin at first, but in the last moment, he brings his angle to the left and flings it at Jeffeth, "Bayweather! Behind you!"

Ysbail starts stomping her feet rhythmically, a building Northlands Shav war chant bellowed from her mobile mouth. Still calling out her challenge to the Southern dunes, she flashes Esoka a grin and fires off an egg at Fianna. To battle!

"We must defend it to the death. Er, until we have nothing left un-colored." Amarantha smiles back at Esoka, looking like she's enjoying this way to much. Luca gets a raised eyebrow in response to his question and the blonde throws another egg at the prince. "I have three sisters! Echo is the short one. Avaline is over there." She points at one sister. "And Astraea is the one who tries to fight everyone. Narrow it down, Prince Luca."

Khanne opens her arms wide and tosses her head back when Fianna tosses a purple egg at her. "Hit me! I love purple!" And... hit her, it does. *SPLAT* Khanne almost disappears in a haze of purple powder. Laughing, she inhales the powder a bit and starts to cough, still blinded by the purple to not even notice Esoka throwing at her as well. Soon, green explodes around her as well and she laughs some more. "Esoka! I thought you loved me!" Seeing Percephon sneezing, she bites her lip, color even clinging to her lashes a bit, and suggests, "Keep that handkerchief over your nose and mouth love... maybe that will help?"

Agatha misses Jeffeth by a hair's bredth. It's a mightily near thing. Now what he does with that egg Luca is throwing.... Wait, speaking of Luca. She sputters. "I am not your shield! I mean, I am a meatwall, BUT! Hey... wait. That's it!" She bulls her way to the front of the dune. "OKAY, Northern dune! Everyone behind me! I will take the hits. I can take it!"

Agatha also tries to hit Jeffeth again, because STUBBORN AF bear.

Most people are taking eggs and just laughing and happy. This is so fun who cares about avoiding the eggs.

Jeffeth. Jeffeth does.

Agatha's egg comes flying at the big man in bullet time, his face just barely tipping to the right as the baby blue soars right by his face. Whew. The big man goes to one knee as Margret is throwing one at him as well, the large man leap frogs over Margert's egg to avoid it and then Luca is throwing some crazy ass curve ball eggs and Jeffeth..

Jeffeth is in the air, spiralling in between two eggs, in a barrel roll in the air before landing on two feet. Don't ask him to ever do it again. He might have just blacked out and done an aerial miracle, but he'll never remember it. But for now, there's an egg in his hand. And Margret is over there. He pelts one at Margret.

Jeffeth checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 39 higher.

The egg hits her in the hip, sending a puff of colored powder into the air and on her clothes, making Fianna stagger and she waves a hand about and calls out dramatically, "OH no! I'm hit! I... I... I'LL GET YOU FOR THAT!" Grinning fiercely, the Crovane girl lets loose with another egg, this time flinging it straight for Khanne.

Islin's laughter rings out across the dunes as he throws a red egg towards Luca. He calls back in a playful tone. "My sincerest apologies! We simply cannot help but be drawn to your grace! Just take it as a compliment to your skills!" The Harthall stays on the move quick and nible even if his throwing skills aren't quite that polished.

Marian finds her jaw dropping at Luca's impossible shot and then Jeffeth /dodges/ it. She stands there blinking for a moment in surprise at the athletic display before her. Someone has to get her attention to give another donation and get a basket, "Oh yes...I'm sorry." She gives a look at the others present at her booth, "That was amazing."

Wylla outright /stares/ at Jeffeth, her jaw dropping open. She'd seemed perhaps about to throw a few eggs of her own, reaching for the basket, but... maybe not. "Do it again!" she suggests.

"With all my heart, Lady Khanne! And many colors!" Esoka flashes Khanne one of those toothy smiles, unrepentent. Another loud laugh to Agatha, and she hurls her next egg at the Bear Princess. Obliging. It might not be her best, throw. She's distracted by pausing to /gawk/ at Jeffeth. "Did the Solace teach you to do /that/, Sir?" She's impressed.

The Fox-Prince notices Islin's egg, but what's the point if not to get a little bit of color on you? He steps right into it, letting the thing explode against his chest and send a cloud of colour in all directions. But like a spirit of vengeance, he immediately steps out of the cloud and hurls a blue egg at Islin, "Your days are numbered, Is! I'll make you famous!"

She tries side-shimmying out of the way since she is on her knees, but it doesn't do her much good beyond letting the egg smack her shoulder instead of dead-center on her chest. Her front is now stained orange. She rubs some of the powder that flew up from her face, but just manages to swear orange all over it like warpaint. Agatha stands her ground, bold and definitive. She plants herself in that sand in front of her people. Her bold and brave northerners using the bear as shelter to devise their stratagems and methods of ending this dire southern threat. Jeffeth's egg explodes in colorful mist against her. Esoka's adds a bright new waistline to her gown. She's trying to get in the way of every egg she can to protect her people. But she must, she must try again. She pulls her arm back and lets an egg sail towards the colorfree beacon that is Jeffeth, he who seems most blessed by the Gods this day. A gloriously garishly brilliant sunny orange to match the bear's brilliant hair... could it be, will it be ... will he at last face the fury of the color gods?

Amarantha is overheard praising Marian for: Funnest charity event of the year!

Amarantha has left the Southern Dunes.

Esoka actually runs /in/ to the cloud of colors created by Margret's egg, even when it falls short of actually hitting her. Maybe she's getting a better position. Or she's actively charging /at/ the eggs. She hefts her arm again, to try and aim /back/ at Margret (or perhaps the Agatha Wall around her), but she has to again pause to stare at Luca. Low whistle escaping her lips. "That's what gets you made a Champion, I do guess."

The big knight picks up another red egg. He looks over all the colorful destruction they have wrought, powder still fresh in the air. Casualties of people giggling. Colors on outfits that certainly clash.

War is hell.

Jeffeth picks up another red egg and looks at the opposing dune for any who have not yet been Jeffeth'd. Ysbail. Marching forward the man sets his eyes on Ysbail before pelting one powerfully at her. Until...

His eyes flick to the side to catch an incoming orange egg from Agatha and the big man is quickly moving to avoid it, but this time he is out of miracles, and the orage powder explodes onto his face. Cough.

"Famous?! Why thank you! Feel free to sing my praises as much as you like!" Islin calls back to Luca with a bright grin. He manages to dodge the egg Khanne throws at him and peers that way with a smirk. "You have to try harder if you want to make ME look like a peacock!" And then...SPLAT. Luca nails him in the chest. He blinks looking down at his now poder splattered torso, right over his heart there is mark. He falls to his knees and sings out in a dramatic solo.

Sparte's own eyes go wide as suddenly Wylla has been struck. Apparently their safe vantage point isn't so safe. He glances over to Josephine, sliding his hands under one edge of the table and giving a jerk of his head towards the dunes. "Time for cover?"

Marian laughs as the other table starts throwing eggs at each other, "Hey there...now stop that. No egg throwing off the dunes." She gives her general stare at both ladies. But some people straighten out at that bellow.

Khanne throws her hands up in the air when she fails to hit Islin. "I give up! I am no good at throwing colors! Last chance for anyone who wants to hit me!" She stands there, making herself as big a target as she can, in a starfish pose.

Since she's such a fine shieldwall and all, and because Luca is such a troublesome kind of person, he comes up right behind Agatha and practically leaps on her back, clinging to one shoulder. He's light in comparison after all, with his lean southern build. He grins at her. "Hi Bear. Hold still." and then he reaches into her basket and grabs a blue egg to huuuuuuurl across the breach, sending it in Esoka's direction, "No /this/ is what gets you made a Champion!" he calls out, but he also adds, "..and swordfighting or whatever!" A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Margret before departing.

Esoka /stares/ at Islin and his dramatic death. She lets out another of those big laughs. She can't help it. It is not, however, enough to distract her from her defense of the Southern Dunes. "I will avenge you, Lord Islin!" she shouts, pelting one of the few remaining eggs on her at Luca. /His/ hits her squarely, in another of those colored explosions. She bowls right through the rainbow she's now coated in.

Esoka checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 68 higher.

Agatha now has additional distractions. She'd just unleashed an egg towards Esoka when she has Khanne's brilliant starfish pose to look at. "You were never going to stay safe behind the Great Wall of AGAOOF!" The name gets knocked out of her by a Luca on her back. The hold still takes a second to register as she reels about to get her balance back. BUT! She's quick to get her arms in place to brace him. "Fine, fine, you throw, but ... Oh. HAH! Hey guys, Prince Luca can't dodge as well up there," she points out helpfully as she tightens the grip on his legs to try to keep the poor target in place.

Wylla looks towards Josephine and winks, eyeing Sparte with a certain uncharacteristic slyness, a hand settling on the eggs -- but then Marian shouts towards her table, and she sighs, relenting. "She started it!" she chirps towards Marian, indicating Josephine.

Ysbail has left the Northern Dunes.

Sparte huffs a bit at that observation by Josephine, moving to stand. "Well then I should leave while I still am, I've got a patrol to be on shortly. Just wanted to give my donation, but I wasn't going to refuse an invitation to sit with the host." Sparte gives Wylla a smile and a nod. "I'll let you throw things at me some other time, promise. Margret is rather thoroughly covered with different colors at this point, mostly by her own clumsiness, and alas when she reaches into her basket she is out! One final egg, this from from Esoka, explodes purple on her belly, and she blows dust from her face before she says, "Looks like I'm out!" She slides down the dune on her butt then and starts towards the trees.

Khanne smiles at Agatha then laughs as she gets pounced on by a Luca. "Nope. I like color too much!" No one seems to be aiming at her, starfish and all, so she starts to skip down the dunes towards Percephon. When she gets there, she says, "I know you have to go to that meeting, love... but I wanted to give you a big kiss first!" And she does, leaving a big colorful smudge on his cheek.

It's true. The Fox-Prince can't dodge so well when he's mounted up on Agatha's backside like that. Dodging isn't an option now, so he throws. "The end is upon you!" he shouts, just as Esoka's egg explodes across his shoulder and covers both he and Agatha in dyed flour. "The end is /really very nearly/ upon you, now!" Luca's picking eggs, hurling them across the gap. The first he wings in Jeffeth's direction, and the second he side-hands at Islin, "Sing for me again, Is! You die wonderfully!" Khanne looks at Wylla "What did I say about who?"

Ysbail nods. "I heard her," she says to Wylla with a grin. But then she reads the messenger and sighs. "Looks like I need to go take care of a bit of business."

The dunes are slowly emptying. As her valiant army begins to wander off, Agatha calls to a few stragglers to gather the eggs and get in formation. There are murmurings. There is a plan being HATCHED. Eggs are being loaded up into a basket and being carried by a trusty assistant that will ride into battle. "Luca? You hanging on up there?"

"Uh. I can hang on a little ha--..", Luca begins, when Jeffeth's egg explodes against, engulfing him once more in a cloud of dyed flour, and causing him to sputter. Someone's filling his basket, it would seem, even as he's shaking egg and color out of his face, and out of his hair. "The Gods are with us Agatha! Charge that man! He's all they've got left! He's far too clean!" It's a warcry that goes out then, or tries, but the intent of it descends into laughter at Islin's performance. "Yeah! You better run, Is! We're coming across!" Then he grins down at Agatha, "I've never ridden a bear before!" A moment, and a wink, but then, "What do you say to get them to run?"

Ysbail has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

Wylla smiles at Khanne, studying her paint colors, studying that colorful hand she extends at the table. Her voice rises again. Or it tries to. "As you're getting finished, please note you can clean yourself off in the river! You have to dunk yourselves off there. But if you do, let me..." Her hand waves. "You read my mind," Agatha cries out excitedly!

And so it begins, sand shifting under the heavy bare feet of one Agatha Redrain, her once white and now prismatic dress, and one Luca Grayson. A few grains, more, sand sinking and sliding and avalanching down in the wake of the Princess that plows down one dune.

Is that the ground shaking under everyone's feet? It might be as the Ursataurean creature made up of an Agatha lower half and a Luca upper half begins the climb of the southern Dune. NAY. The ascent! Their rise to glory!

Agatha lets out a roar as they race towards their orange faced prey. Jeffeth Bayweather, your time has come!

"Oh!" Esoka stops short of the water, doing a /twirl/ for Wylla. A blocky twirl in trousers. Nobody would ever call her a professional dancer. She does it with athletic flair, though, and she's very colorful. Her dark curls, in particular, a knotted rainbow of colored dust, and her tattooed arms look like they've become a child's paint project.

Luca is overheard praising Agatha for: I may never ride a horse again!

Wylla claps her hands delightedly at Esoka. "It's so colorful! And your hair and your arms! Look at them yourself! Look at how the colors blend! You could paint a self-portrait!" She's warmly approving, smiling towards her, before Agatha and Luca's attack earns a stare. She nudges Josephine that way, agape again.

Jeffeth has never been the smaller opponent. Ever. It's surreal when the Lucagatha hybrid comes a stompin' at him. To square off against someone, or someone's he actually has to look up for. But he's been fighting and wrestling people smaller than him all his life. And when he was a boy, there was a little trick that the smaller kids used against him all the time. It actually got pretty annoying. So Jeffeth stands there, waiting for Luca and Agatha to close on him... He waits and waits, till the last second, taking just a couple steps back as if he's about to run.

And then he drops.

Jeffeth drops into a tight circle at Agatha's feet just as she reaches him, big arms going to cover his head, knees going up to tuck into his chest. Eyes closed tightly. Hggh.

Teela laughs at the charge made and she claps her hands together, purely enjoying the spectacle of the combatants coloring themselves with the powder.

"Oh this will get colorful." Murmurs josephine as Agatha nudges her, watching the rainbow splendor unfold that is Luca, Agatha and Jeffeth. "Poor Baywater."

Marian puts her hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing as Luca and Agatha move to take Jeffeth down. She's expecting the clash of the titans but instead it's Jeffeth stopping and trying to trip his opponents, "Oh well...someone is getting covered."

"It's was an uphill battle, but what finer steed could a man ask for? The ground trembled. The skies thundered. The world was awash in color and Luca Grayson was completely sober. Truly, this was the end of days! Desperate times called for desperate measures. The Fox and the Bear charged the villain known as Bayweather. Who would win? Could this be the beginning of ten-thousand days of darkness?" Luca narrates, aloud and to anyone listening (does anyone really listen to him?) as Agatha assaults the southern dune by foot, bringing him along. They're just about to reach him.. just about the reach him.. and..

"It was fun, Blessed!" Esoka says to Wylla, arms still in the air in twirling form. "I hope I did my part in entertaining Jayus!" And with that, into the water she goes. /Running/ at it so her legs splash large portions of the shallows out of her way, then flopping down once she's deep enough to dunk herself. She's a powerful swimmer and spends some time just splashing about, head finally coming up and craning toward the stand (ball) of Sir Jeffeth. A wince, and an arm raised in solemn salute.

Valery looks at the attack now, with wide opened eyes.

Jeffeth checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 6 lower.

Agatha checked strength + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 14 lower.

Luca checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 11 lower.

"I think this is too much for my dear heart to take." Josephine smiles and chuckles. "I am going to take my leave. Blessed Wylla this was lovely. Give my congratulations to the other arrangers. I am sure this was much needed." The somber dressed woman gets up from the table, saying her goodbyes to the others present before starting to drift back to the city.

And he would have gotten away with it, too! Except the thing with not REALLY Ursataurs but two different people is that they fall apart, the balance and timing gets off. And instead of one giant being going flying out of control, there are three. Or there were three, at least for a second or two as the collision makes a spectacular FIRST burst of color as eggs explode on impact.

But the force is enough to send all of them back to the edge of the dune nearest the river, and three become one again - a tangled, rolling OOF OUCH BUMP THUD roly poly mess out of control in a speedy descent. But by the Jayus pleasing spirits is it a colorful one! The eggs that hadn't burst already begin popping during the chaos. One curshed between bodies here, one flung up into the air at random, each rotation of the Flailiness seems to set off another bright burst of dust in the air to mark their trail. Well. At least it should be easy to find the bodies....

Josephine has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

Khanne has left the Wooden Picnic Table.

Wylla stares at the cloud of dusty colors that go up in the air, and the tangle of colors. She's silent, gazing on it in mute survey. "I... what," she offers Esoka belatedly once she comes out of that trance. "Oh! Thank you!"

Islin watches the action on the dunes from the safety of the sidelines. He sips from a glass filled with rum as he observes. His hair is still dusted with color as is his shirt but he seems to be in good humor as he drinks and watches.

Well here we are. His clothes which were so spotless now a mess of colors thanks to Agatha and Luca bleeding colors on him. As they are rolled and thrashed down the side of the dune into the water. Jeffeth lets out a weak grunt, looking over to Agatha, then to Luca. Then back up the sky. "Well fought.. Everyone." He then lets his head fall back into the sand after the rolly polly bump wumpy ride.

Teela giggles as the group falls into the tangled mess and she cups her hands over her mouth. She laughs into her hands and then she looks at the Princesses and Valery, "I hope no one gets hurt for all that." she smiles and then turns back to watch, stifling a giggle at the amusement of it all.

Striding down from the city in full armor, Marcas glances about the beach with a wary expression. He heard something about colors and dust, but what...unsure. Ignorance shall surely be the soldier's downfall as....something awaits.

Esoka startles up in a splash at the crashing of bodies and eggs that ensues. She pads out quickly, squinting through the mass of colors. "Is anyone hurt?" They're warriors, though, so a large part of her assumes they can just walk that disaster off. "Sir Jeffeth, you are the Southern Dunes great hero!" She tries to shout it like it's a great triumph for him.

Avaline has left the Beneath Trees.

2 House Velenosa Guards have been dismissed.

Avaline has joined the Beneath Trees.

Luca's narration comes to an abrupt halt when Agatha and Jeffeth collide in such a spectacular fashion. Anyone listening might hear a distinct Lycene yelp that escapes him with the impact of it, his bear steed and the plan as a whole beginning to crumble beneath him. "Ten-thousand days of darkneeeeeess!" he cries out before tumbling over the backside of the southern dune with Jeffeth and with Agatha. The colour is truly something out of a storybook, in all the shades, as glorious and as vivid as one could imagine, for three idiots tumbling down a hill with a basket full of eggs. A Festival of Colours indeed. And then Marcas is there, strolling past, and who can even get a warning out? Not the Fox-Prince, who is end-over-ending, sputtering, and trying to keep Agatha and Jeffeth's hands off his parts. Or is he? There at the bottom, they collide with the newest arrival, assaulting him with their colour cloud as well, and all go sprawling across the sands, near the water. As the dust settles, at least he seems to be breathing.

Marian checked command + leadership at difficulty 15, rolling 45 higher.

Marian gives a grimace, "He was on the dune." She makes a face and then moves out from behind the stand to start moving in the fallen's direction, "Is everyone okay?" She motions for the melee to stop with a roar, "EGGS DOWN NOW!" She then moves in to check on Luca, Agatha, Jeffeth and Marcas. She of course goes to Marcas first, "Are you okay?"

Rubicund. All the reflective full plate Marcas just had to be wearing. Agatha has only an instant to look at the ridiculous reflection of the soon to be tie-dyed meat pile in Marcas' armor. Oh, but they are a glorious bowling ball of doom. Unfortunately Aodh was the only pin left on the table. They wallop into him and end up in a varied tangle of sprawls. After a few dazed seconds, she groan says, "I... I'm just going to lie here and think about what I've done."

A beat of silence later and one last egg gives up an anticlimactic poof of shimmery pink.

Lying stunned upon the ground...completely unsure of what is going on...rubicund armor now various colors other than crimson...Marcus looks up at Marian, blinking. "I...think I am..mostly? I am....I feel like....a catapult hit me. The ball, not the machine itself." Stretching a pretty colored arm out to the Princess, he finds himself utterly tangled in a pile of bodies, limbs, and other assorted parts.

Valery winces at the landing of... bodies and eggs. She follows Marian, just in case, to check on the group, just staying behind the princess waiting for their answers.

Slowly disentangling himself from the mess, Jeffeth casts a big smile up at Marian. Hi. He is then looking at his fellow tumblers. "Oh, Marcas. How did you get here?" The big knight continues to drag himself away from the group, slowly pushing himself up to his hands and knees as he goes to submerge himself into the water, time to clean off!

"Bear, I think I'm marriage-contractually obligated to tell my wife about this." Luca confesses, going for the jest but wincing just a little as he sits up. He does look a touch dizzied, but then, he's not the largest of the group. Or even the second largest. "Wow, what a ride. I hope that ends up a storybook somewhere." He clambers to his feet, the best he can, and offers Agatha a hand "Get up, Bear! I think we won! Maybe we lost! Marcas /definitely/ lost." He flashes a grin at Marian, "We're alive, I think. Heck of a Festival, Mars."

Glancing up at Marian, Marcus makes a plaintive plea. "Help!" Blinking at Jeffeth, "I...am not entirely sure. I came to see the festival, and ended up under a pile of bodies and pink. I am very...unsure." Nodding at Luca, "Yes. I certainly lost. I don't know what was going on, but I'm sure that this was losing."

Marian gives a laugh and shakes her head, helping Marcas up, "You were suppose to wear white, not armor." She motions to her own dress. She then calls out to those still covered in color, "Please parade your colors for Archlector Wylla and then get washed off." She gives a salute to everyone as she then helps her guard to his feet.

Esoka lets herself chuckle merrily, when it seems no one was horribly maimed by the Crash of Colors. She heads down to the water to finish washing herself off - including rinsing away the new dust she required from being even a little near the cloud. She'll have a little swim before making her way home.

Agatha gets an elbow back, unwedges her foot from the back of someone's knee. Thanks the gods her cleavage didn't end up in someone's face. She's slow to sit up and groans again when she does. "It was such a good plan," she muses as she watches Jeffeth float out to river. After a blink or two she swings her head to look at Luca. "Ohhhhh, she's gonna want to fight me isn't she? Is she gonna want to fight me. No international incidents. It was my one rule for myself." She takes the offered hand. Once she's on her feet she tries to literally shake it off. "OOF! Okay. Okay." Hey, have to help Marcas up now. Except Marian already did that! "I .. I parade ... where now?" She starts to walk the wrong way.

Marian has left the Beneath Trees.

Avaline has left the Beneath Trees.

"I woke up late and forgot, stumbled down here...and got what was coming to me, apparently," Marcas admits to Marian with a rueful grin, shaking his head. "I should remember that in the future." After getting helped up by the Warchief, he goes to parade his now garishly colored rubicund armor in front of Wylla with a chuckle, making sure to show off all of the pretty pink blotches.

"You /are/ wearing white. And you look really, very clean..", Luca points out to Marian, a sharp smirk crossing his face. There's trouble there. Anyone could see it. But he doesn't act on anything immediately. Agatha goes walking in the wrong direction, and he reaches out to grab at her and swing her into a more Wylla-ward direction, "That way, Bear. That way. Go hug Archlector Wylla for putting on such a fun festival, yes? That's what Marian suggested." He grins at Marian then, at that, and catches her with a wink. "I'm not washing off for the whole day. I worked hard for this. I'll be in all the shops, selling my fashion secrets until sundown." He goes then, heading over toward Wylla as well, but he calls out, "Don't think you're getting out of here with a white dress, Mars!"

Marian checked dexterity + dodge at difficulty 15, rolling 31 higher.

Valery sees Luca's smirk and she steps back. She doesn't hide behind Marian but it may have crossed her mind. The threat wasn't addressed to her, but her clothes are still pretty white...

Wylla looks up towards Marcas. "Oh, that's lovely! Very pink! You could pay a lot of money for someone to do that." She nos approvingly towards Marcas, beaming at him, and then looks towards Luca, a bit uncertain as she suggests /hugging/. And then she eyes Agatha, a little uncertainly. She might even step back at the thought of Agatha hugs with all. that. powder, but she grins uncertainly at Luca. "You're very colorful!" She means the powder, right? Of course she does.

Luca checked dexterity + athletics at difficulty 15, rolling 34 higher.

Agatha was headed the wrong way. Oh no! Oh dear! Whatever shall she do! Why do exactly what Luca told her to do of course. Aim herself at Wylla. "Oh, Archlector! The Prince said I should hug you. May I?" Because of COURSE she asks, all gentle (mildly woozy) giant. "And I agree. I'm not changing - want to save this dress as is with all the colors. I'll take a bath later!"

Marian gives that looks to Luca, "No...no..." She starts to back away because she just knows he's going to try something with her. She tries to move out of the dunes before Lucas can get her but she's pregnant. She's not moving as fast as she normally does.

Teela's watching the goings on from beneath the trees, seemingly mostly alone now that Marian and Valery have moved over to help people untangle and make sure no one is hurt.

Wylla resigns herself to her fate, with a little sigh. "All right, Princess Agatha." But she's smiling, and the tiny Archlector reaches out her hands -- paint-stained as almost always -- towards the much, much larger princess.

Having finished parading about, Marcas does the sensible thing and starts to wash off his armor in the sea, as he'd not want to be mistaken for Princess Reese, given the pinkness of his armor at the moment. Then he gasps in horror as Marian is targeted for a shelling herself, pregnant and moving a bit slow, a look of amused surprise given to Teela at the goings on. He -almost- charges Agatha for a giant, armor clanking clash of titans, until realizing she's not wearing armor. So he gives her a friendly clap on the shoulder instead.

Luca hits the sand, rolls to the side and grabs an egg that was spared from the collision, all just after he pretends to walk off toward Wylla. He shouldn't have warned the woman about her dress, but he did. And she took it to heart, it would seem, prepared for him. Rather than pelt her with the egg, leaps forward a step or two and smashes it across his chest in a cloud of blue, coming out the other side and wrapping her up into the colour-smeariest hug that's ever been hugged out in all of Arx, probably. It's just like an old, wet dog that's terribly affectionate and hasn't seen someone in a long time, except the wet is all the various shades of dye, and flour instead. "You deserve this!" he calls out.

What on earth has Echo stepped on into? That's definitely what reads from Echo's expression as her steady pace quickly slows to a crawl, eventually leaving her by the small clearing of trees by Teela. Her eyebrows lift at the theatrics and she ducks down to share a quick message with the taller woman before sweeping out her silks to work out any creases and sitting down nearby.

Echo has joined the Beneath Trees.

"Luca!" She tries to wiggle out from the powder covered prince but she can not. She's caught and getting powder all over her, "You're making a mess." She is trying to be serious but she can't because she's laughing as he continues to hug her like a old, wet dog, "I'm going to get even for this." She is laughing so no one is going to mistake that she's really upset.

Agatha didn't try to attack Marian! That is all Luca there! No, Agatha is busy leaning in and giving the smaller Wylla one of the world's most delicate don't wanna squish you hugs. Oh, enough to make sure she's well covered in colors, to be sure! But with enough delicacy to suggest she's learning not to crush her friends. "Thank you very much! This was fun! And..." Wait, her battle senses are tingling. She looks up in time to see Marcas clapping her shoulder. "Um. I'm really sorry about that!"

Jeffeth has left the Southern Dunes.

Valery stares at Luca and Marian for a moment, as making sure they are all fine... and she slowly moves back to Teela's and Echo's side. Well, it seems Valery's white clothes are going to be the only white ones going back home! That may be some sort of boring record.

To his credit, Luca is very careful concerning Marian's.. condition. No real housing in the rough, there, just the sort of hug that's designed to spread a smear of every color there is across someone's white dress. "Making a mess is what I do best!", he promises, before finally withdrawing. He's laughing also, as he backs off, and looks himself over, "Wow, I never thought you'd make such a fine towel, Mars. If your whole Princess thing doesn't work out, let me know. I'd l--..", and he pauses. He catches himself, and he starts heading for where Wylla and the rest are, but he mumbles something as he passes with the worst sort of grin on his lips. Whatever he says, it causes him to take off at a jog. A faster-than-most-pregnant women jog, preferably.

That hug from Agatha works. Mostly. Wylla erks a little at the hug, and smiles at the woman. "You're welcome! I'm glad you had fun." She looks down at her clothes now that Agatha's made them even worse, and a pleased little laugh follows her study, before -- well, there's Luca making his way towards them, and she tells Agatha, "Watch out!"

Hurrying over to Marian, having failed in his guard duty as Luca makes a total mess of the Princess, he stretches out a hand to the Warchief with a grimace and a shake of his head. "Alright, I guess you need to see the Archlector as well. And then take a dip."

Marian gives a sigh and stops struggling until he releases her. She shakes her head and then moves towards Wylla to show off her now powdered dress compliments of Luca. She gives a smile to Wylla, "I think I'll be taking a dip in the ocean too." She looks to see if Wylla needs anything else before she moves to follow the others to take a dip in the ocean.
