Slipping into the hidden garden of the Golden Hart is perhaps the most average-looking Valardin of them all. Height, build, even his face is plain and non-descript. Aurelian enters, escorting Princess Reese in courtly fashion.Aurelian is largely dressed in blue and white silks, yet he does have one piece that stands out, a blue and white armored surcoat with his House's sigil incorporated into the design. (OOC: look aurelian's surcoat if any care)

Waldemai is a few minutes late, and the smell of forge on his clothing and leather apron probably says why. He takes off his simple cloth cap in the presence of so many royals and nobles and nobs and such, and looks for a nice spot near the fire.

Waldemai has joined the table by the fire.

Luis is dressed in fine silks for the evening, though the sword never leaves his side, there be crazy nobility out there, somewhere. Still he looks rather dashing in his get-up and his curls bounce with each step, partially obscuring dark eyes as he looks around the garden whilst entering it slowly. On his arm is the lovely lady Lucity whom needs no other introduction. Instead let's focus on Luis because he's dreamy and the like. He pats Lucita's arm and then gestures around with the very same hand, "I told you we'd have another party before too long, and look at how resplendant it is here for us." He comes to a stop as he notices others already mingling about, "And here I thought we would be early, Prince Aurelian, a pleasure, and the Master Smith, over at the table already, let me know what's good to drink tonight," the last offered to Waldemai.

Valencia sweeps into the courtyard with a big smile, pausing to give last minute instructions to staff. A bright smile finds her face when Aurelian and Reese arrive, "Your highness, my sweetest cousin, welcome. I know you are both so busy. I'm glad you are here. Please make yourselves comfortable," she smiles with a warm hug and kiss on the cheek for Reese and the offer of a delicate hand for Aurelian. Turning Waldemai is also greeted with a fond grin. "I am so happy you were able to come, sir. Please, there is fine new ale for you to try. Just let Lizette know you are here."

Reese arrives in the garden along with Aurelian. She is adorned in her pink and toting along her weapons. "I think Princess Valencia will be happy to see you wearing the new jacket." She says toward the prince.

Waldemai is put in a spot between the lord and the princess (entirely by accident, to be sure). "I am told the ale is fine and new today, my lord," he tells Luis, and has a look around for Lizette, because, after all, the truth is in the tasting.

Margerie flits into the room scant seconds ahead of her fellow Keatons, all wide eyed wonder at all the charming lanterns and little touches added to the atmosphere. It's a wonder perhaps a few years too young for her features, but some delights are stubborn. She is quick to pluck up the brightest and bubbliest nearby drink before turning back to the Count and Countess to enthuse, "I apologize for keeping us from being more fashionably late but I just cannot resist all the city has to offer. How do people manage to get anything done with so many distractions around here? Now! Who do you think I should meet first? I think I'm of a mind for someone likely to make just the tiniest bit of trouble."

Aurelian acceots the offered hand with a courtly kiss to the back of it before lettign go and says, "A pleasure as always Your Highness." to Valencia. Giving Reese a polite nod he then shifts his gaze to Luis and says, "Greetings." simply, perhaps not fully aware who the man is, or simply being more low-key than Luis himself. "I trust you are well?" are the words offered to Lucita at her brother's side.

Lethe pauses to look around when she arrives. She gives a friendly wave to Lucita before looking for a place to sit.

Reese glances over to Margerie who she doesn't seem to know. "Oh, I love your dress." She murmurs, giving it a study. She then has a smile of greeting for Lethe. "Lady Lethe." She says softly.

Lucita steps lightly into the hidden garden area and takes a moment to glance around the area, her gaze darting to Luis as he makes his pronouncement regarding the party. "Such a tease. Good thing that 'us' you said means everyone here because if you let Princess Valencia hear you saying such things and thought you meant it just for you, you may be her star guest at a stew pot scrubbing." She gives a smile to those she recognizes and curtsies as they draw near those who are royal. To Aurelian she murmurs "Much better, more rested than last time we spoke, thank you for asking.

Stepping inside the Hart with an arm linked around Joslyn's, Delilah's soft footsteps begin to fall silent as she inclines her head towards Joslyn and shares a few whispers with the other girl. A gaze is swept across the gathering as she whispers, and eventually her steps come to a stop. "My," Delilah begins, her voice rising just a touch so others may hear, "It's quite busy out here." A sidelong glance is given to Joslyn, before her lips curl ever so slightly and she heads on over to greet the others. "Evening, everyone.

Deacon Pateris makes his way into the garden, likely a bit late. The tall, lean courtesan looks around at the arrangement for the party out here in the garden. It would appear that he's arriving not terribly far behind the Keatons, at least. He smiles with warmth to the trio of Kael, Reigna, and Margerie with amiable familiarity. "My Lord and Ladies," he speaks in warm greeting before lifting his hand to wave to the hostess. It's bad manners to crowd, after all. Lucita is also greeted with similar warmth and familiarity, though still with a non-verbal wave. He isn't one to raise his voice, after all.

Lethe looks to Reese with a smile. "It is very good to see you here. Coming here is always a fun time."

Aurelian nods to Lucita and says, "Good to hear My Lady." He then looks to Reese and asks, "Shall we part ways so you may catch up with your aquaintances Your Highness?" in a curious tone. He gives Delilah a nod as well, but only because she is seemingly greeting everyone.

Reese looks over to Lucita, having a smile of greeting for the songbird. "Oh, Lady Lucita, a pleasure." She murmurs in her direction. She then waves to Delilah and Joslyn. The princess seems to be in a cheerful sort of mood. "Master Deacon." She says gently to the Courtesan. "Princess Valencia does throw great parties." Reese adds to Lethe. Reese then turns to Aurelian. "Oh, we can, thank you for walking here with me, Prince Aurelian."

Kael does indeed follow after Margerie, his step a casual thing and his attention stolen for the moment by the woman on his arm. He has perhaps finished speaking a few stray words to Reigna, nothing of consequence, and Margerie's delight soon enough draws him in. He chuckles quietly and inclines his head, remarking, "I do believe that when my wife was carrying Aeryn, we used up all of our 'fashionably late' quota." His lips twitch a bit, to that, and when she is asking regarding those to know, he looks across those gathered. He does not need to look far, indeed, for he inclines his head toward Reese. "Princess Reese Grayson," he murmurs, mutually a greeting as well as an introduction, for his Aunt. "Most certainly someone to know." Another sweep of a look and spying Valenia from afar, he nods to her, murmuring to his Aunt, "The lovelyhostess, Priness Valencia Velenosa." Now, there is Deacon. "Good evening! So, we meet once more and before our tale and drink eve."

A brighter smile blossoms on her lips as she notes the surcoat. "You look so very handsome in it, my prince. I'm so delighted," she offers looking more than thrilled. "Please, get drinks and I will find you in a bit," she nods warmly turning to greet the Luis and Lucita and then the Keatons in turn. Affectionate smiles and a big hug for Lucita is offered and Luis gets a sweet smile and an offer of a delicate hand. "I'm so happy you are both here. Gods, it would not be a party without you, please, my Hart is yours," she smiles. "And welcome my Count and Countess, to have you in my heart again, I could not be more happy," she chimes, offering a warm hug to Reigna and hand in greeting to Kael. Turning to Margerie she smiles again. "A pleasure. Please be welcome to my Hart. I am the Princess Valencia. You are so very welcome here. Please enjoy," she says with a wave of her hand.

Aurelian nods to Reese and says, "Of course Your Highness." in his typical calm, conversatinal tone which never seems to change. Very much off for the proposed theme of the evening, but hey Oathlanders what can you do with them? Adding, "Excuse me a moment." he moves to find a server with his drink of choice.

Caprice comes into the party and it is very good that it is 'come as you are' because Caprice's copper-gold hair is darkened with water. Although, it is merely damp at current. She floats into the area with her strange graceful walk and today the expression is even more dreamy. She just seems off in a Jayus cloud of inspiration or something. The woman sort of twirls a bit when she walks in and then stops to look for Valencia.

Waldemai thanks Lizette for the overflowing horn of ale she brings him and passes her a silver piece for her trouble. Used to forges, he stays near the fire as the nights are starting to cool.

Returning the nod towards Aurelian, Delilah asks, "A pleasure to see you again, your Highness. How might you be?" She pulls a hand away from Joslyn's shoulders to wiggle her fingers hello towards Reese and anyone else who might be meeting their gaze with hers, and she also takes the opportunity to steal a drink from a passing servant. "Something about never being able to refuse a drink..." she murmurs to herself, shooting a grin towards Joslyn as she lifts her glass somewhat. She approaches Valencia and whispers, "Apologies for missing most of your most recents gatherings. I suppose I picked a good day to come with the turnout we have."

Margerie manages to catch the nearby murmur and turns an ever so cheered smile at Reese. Combined with Kael's murmur, it's a quick thing to turn around a reply. "Oh, do you think so? Thank you - it was a gift. Aren't you kind, your grace! Or better yet, your Graces," she adds as Valencia offers up her greeting. The once upon a countess pats her own hair to touch it up. "I've only been in the city a couple of days and I think this Hart of yours is swiftly becoming one of my favorite places. Thank you for your welcome," she tells the hostess with a bow of the head.

Reese looks over to Caprice, having a smile of greeting for her that touches her blue eyes. "Mistress Caprice." She say sin her direction. She looks over her gown and smiles once again. "Oh, your gown is very lovely too." The General goes to find herself a drink and picks out some hard cider.

"Lady Josclyn! Lady Delilah! How marvelous, please come be welcome. You must try the new wine, it's beautiful,' Valencia calls as she notes the latest arrivals, pausing to offer an apologetic but warm smile to Margerie. "Please, whatever you need, ask, and it will be yours. I will join you a bit later, I promise," she smiles and she is off again to welcome Deacon next. "My sweetest Missere Deacon, I am glad you are here. You are well?" she asks looking a little worried for the man.

Reese then looks upon Margerie once again. "I'm Princess Reese, General of the Grayson army. I don't think we met?" She says in her direction, seemingly curious. She then takes a sip of the cider.

Caprice hears her name and turns to smile warmly at Reese as she moves towards the woman. "Thank you. I felt the urge to wear purples and thought.. why not?" She gives a bit of a laugh before she looks over the woman. "I am eager to hear how your gifts to the heroes are received." She looks up at Valencia's voice, but leaves the greeting of the hostess for now.

Lucita chuckles softly, returning the smile and hug Valencia offers. She glances over toward Reese when she hears her name and returns a greeting to her. "Glad to see you again, it promises to be a fun, lovely night for this." Her attention goes toward the woman to whom Reese speaks and she listens for a name to be spoken.

Aurelian says, "I am well enough My Lady. I trust you have been well since we last spoke?" to Delilah. as he delays a server and after a few words is provided a goblet of some type of drink, which is sipped from. He then moves to stand by Valencia, likely so he doesn't have to shout and asks, "You are doing well Your Highness?"

Torian emerges from the thick crowd near the host, always seeking her out first. He chimes in to Margerie's compliment, "Aye, likely the best social house in the city." Valencia is aready flitting off to the next set of guests and so the man shrugs a little, his face pained with it. Why? Well he's got his left arm in a sling so that could be it. With Valencia off he follow's Reese's lead next, introducing himself, "Torian Culler, Teacher, Leader of the Low People, Lederer, and one man river..." he laugh and makes little sense, but there's he's introduced himself to Reese and Margerie, though the former at least already knows him.

"I'll give it a shot." Delilah directs towards Valencia. She takes in the scent of the wine for a moment before wrinkling her her nose and peering over at Valencia. "Mmm. You only get the finest." She remarks, before bringing the glass to her lips and tasting a sip. Her attention falling back onto Aurelian, she says, "Absolutely, thank you for asking!"

"One good turn deserves another, my Lord." Deacon replies to Kael with a sunny grin. "It's an oversight on your part, you should know. If you'd stop being such droll and warm company, I wouldn't come around to annoy you so much. Apropos, how about a drink or five?" A smile is flashes to the man then before his eyes shift to Reese. Her greeting lights his features and he lifts a hand to wave to her in return. "Princess Reese! It's lovely to see you tonight." Valencia earns a fond smile as well. "I wouldn't miss it. I am wonderful as always, your Highness. Again, you've put together an impressive party. Thank you for having me."

Reigna returns the hug from Valencia and beams brightly as she comes by. "It is wonderful, always to see you dear friend." Reigna stays on Kael's arm, looking around the room with a wide, bright smile. She grins at Margerie as her aunt in law meets the Princess and she smiles to her husband, leaning up to whisper something to him briefly before she looks around the room.

Reese takes yet another drink from her cider. She looks over to Torian, giving him a smile that touches her blue eyes. "Oh, Master Torian, a pleasure to see you in person and thank you so much for the gifts. I can't wait to give them out and I hope you can join the awards ceremony and watch such." She murmurs even as her Grayson guard taps her shoulder. They murmur together softly for a moment. "I apologize, everyone, I need to head out."

Waldemai gets up from his seat since there's a princess departing.

"Your hignesses," since there are several of them and all in close proximity as Luis bows over Valencia's offered hand, giving the softest of kisses to her knuckles before standing upright once more, allowing her hand to be taken back as she is greeted by many well wishers. "Ah, such a marvelously busy place, I think I will find something to drink, would you like something Lucita?" Luis offers, nodding to Aurelian, "I am Lord Luis Igniseri, Lucita's brother, she has spoken of you quite fondly and at length, dear Prince," Luis shares with the man in greeting, then bows to Reese as she turns to go, "A pleasant evening, your highness." Once that is done, he looks around, nodding his head to those whom he knows and others who he has only met in passing, giving Deacon a smile, "Welcome Missere, I had began to wonder when I would see you again." Then off he goes, looking for drinks.

Margerie gives a formal little obeisance towards the Princesses as Valencia takes her gracious leavles. "A General and a princess? You must have the most /fascinating/ tales to tell, your highness! I am Lady Margerie Keaton, recently freed of of my duties as Countess by my dear nephew's return. I see I have found an excellent week to leave Oakhaven and join all of you here in Arx. Such celebration!" And now there is a Torian to tut at. "And is it this one man river that has felled you so, Torian Culler?"

Reese smiles over to Luis. She then turns to Margerie. "Oh, I do. If you want to hear some, we can talk more another time." She says. Once last smile is given to the group and then she slips out.

"Ah, so soon?" Delilah asks, her head tilting to the side as she considers Reese. "I suppose I can't expect anything different from the Grayson general." The woman dipped her head somewhat before settling back against Joslyn's side.

Justice, an elegant hunting falcon, Stormy, a silvery gray hunting hound leave, following Reese.

When the host approaches him, and offers forth her hand, Kael is taking hold of it and offering a kiss to the back of her hand with flourish. Why yes, he has gotten better than when he first arrived within Arx. "May I present the Lady Margerie Keaton, my lady. My Aunt." This is spoken just as that, and thereafter he is easing off to the side so that the hostess will not be crowded. Besides, it makes it easier for Reigna to whisper to him, that way. Not, mind you, that he is oblivious to the offer of a drink or five from the good Deacon. "I think that is a fine idea! What is it that I shall get for us all?" Evidently he is going to go fetching for the Keaton's with the addition of Deacon.

Samael enters the hidden gardens and lets the good times and music flow over him. He seemed tense a few moments ago, but relaxed now. He gathers up the nearest glass of wine, whether its someone else's or fresh and available for taking and downs a large gulp.

Aurelian nods to Luis and as he moves to other matters turns to Lucita and says, "I understand fully." as thogh in reference to some previous discussion, his expression remaining neutral and his tone staying calm and conversational. He then offers a nod to the departing Reese.

Luis has joined the table by the fire.

Torian smiles and looks down at his arm, "This? I wear it to get half off drinks for sympathy." his grin fades a little, "To be truthful, Lady Margerie, there was a fire recently near one of the aquaducts. I'm a craftsman by trade and I happened to have been doing some of my shopping when it broke out, and I thought it would be a good idea to use a bolt of canvas meant for bag making as a way to move a lot of water from teh aquaduct to the street where it could be put to good use. Sadly, holding the canvas against the flow put quite a strain on my shoulder. There's a rumor I fell down bodily into the current as well, but I'll deny it." He chuckles at this, good hearted about it at least.

Lethe has joined the table by the fire.

Samael catches Delilah's attention immediately and she lifts her glass as she calls out, "Samael! I'm glad I was able to find you here." Her gaze rested on the man for a short moment, before she beckoned him over. "You seem a bit out of it, everything okay?" With a quick glance over the crowd, Delilah leaned over to whisper something into Joslyn's ear once more, her lips curling into a faint smile, which she extended over Samael's direction.

Torian is spied and a warm smile is offered, but it's too late, he's slipped off into the crowd. The little princess takes note of his direction so shw might find him later. Turning back to the door, Valencia smiles a welcome to Samael as he arrive, "My lord, I'm so happy to see you, please won't you come in. Food is over there and libations just there, or ask any of my ladies," she nods waving a graceful hand. "Please pardon me there is someone I must say hello to," she smiles up and nods graciously.

Lady Juliana Pravus steps in amiss a softly swirling hues of lavender silk. With dark hair falling in curls over one shoulder, her bright blue eyes sweeping the festivities, it doesn't take long before the young woman has a glass in her hand and is slowly circling the party in order to see who is in attendence.

As Aurelian and Lucita continue their conversation, Luis gives the two a polite nod then gives them their space, finding something to drink, a cup filled with some wonderful brew and then he wanders around, stopping at the table with Waldemai to toast the man with lifted mug before sitting at the table by the fire for a moment, perhaps longer. Though he does look up from his ale to see Samael and raise his cup in greeting. Which slides right on over to the woman who entered in behind him, "Ah, the Lady Juliana as well. Good evening to you all," he says, though Waldemai's got his attention and he turns back to the smith for a word.

Margerie leans just a bit towards Torian and murmurs, "Swiftly - what drink shall they fetch for you? Take advantage of these gentlemen doing all the gathering for us." Her everpresent smile lights on Deacon and Kael as they prepare to fetch. "Oh, anything that will surprise me with bright colors and strange flavors will do well." But then she pulls herself in to focus on Torian's tale of woe, a little gasp given at the news of fires. "I do hope that there were not many other injuries! At least your little battle with the forces of nature does not have a sadder ending."

Caprice looks around at all the people and then she focuses on Valencia and Luis. Although, really, she's focused on the drinks he's moving in that direction. Her lips quirk upwards, but first there is the Princess. "Valencia!" Caprice all but sings out with familiarity and fondness. Her light, airy steps carrying her like a dance over to the Princess. She will wait all of a moment and then attempt to wrap the woman into a tight hug. It's not a social correct behavior, but it's like one greeting their best friend or most beloved sister. Her lips find the woman's cheek and continue to move near her ear before she takes a step backwards. "You look close to divine. Not my artwork, so only close." A soft laugh is given to that as she looks around. "You are also quite amazing in this party." Her green eyes slide over the masses and drop to the bling around Aurelian's neck. It is clear he is marked for greeting soon as well.

Samael walks over toward the friendly face, Delilah. As he passes Valencia and bows his head to her and holds up his glass. "Thank you, Princess. You look radiant," he says with a smile. He then continues over to Delilah and Joslyn. "Oh, you know," he says when he gets there. He raises his glass in return toward Luis before looking to Delilah. "Just been busy arguing about one of my best friends," he says with a smile. He looks toward Joslyn and bows his head. "Good to see you, Ladies."

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Joslyn before departing.

Aurelian moves away from Valencia, now his greeting has been given and she's about to be over-run by a flood of even more guests seeking to greet her. He takes another sip of his drink adn starts to step away. If he noticed the look from Caprice there are not obvious signs of it, so he may not have noticed.

Deacon smiles a greeting to Luis in passing. "Good evening, my Lord. I apologize for being scarce! I've been composing and looking into a small personal matter. It's been a hectic couple of weeks I'm afraid." His expression becomes slightly apologetic then, but he turns his attention towards Kael once more. "Oh, I wouldn't trouble yourself overmuch, my Lord. I am certain Princess Valencia's staff can fetch the drinks." He pauses a beat then. "I'll have a whiskey myself. No realy preference. I shall defer to your wisdom as far as the whiskey goes. It is a recently-acquired taste for me." A chuckle lights his features in reply to Margerie, however and he lofts a brow at her. "Not that I mind fetching drinks, of course, if it amuses. I refuse to juggle them, however."

Aurelian has joined the rose garden.

Holden is not particularly known for joining in celebrations, at least he hasn't been for many years. But this evening he arrives, dressed not in armor but in simple clothes. He makes his way out into th garden among those celebrating and finds himself something to drink before making his way toward a shady tree and finding himself a place to stand under it out of the way, people watching.

Torian perks up a little at the mention of drinks, and he stammers a little in his quickness to order, "W-Whiskey." He then listens to Margerie's reaction and starts volunteer more informtion, "I'm pretty sure somebody was blinded. Or half blinded. Fire's a barely tamed beast after all. Lots of hands there to help though, made for light work. I believe I heard tale some children were rescued from a building aflame, but I couldn't see it from where I was, on account of the near-drowning after I didn't fall."

Lucita waits till a server is passing by with a tray containing a beverage she prefers and she extends a hand to grasp it, drawing it to her lips and taking a sip. She chuckles softly and nods to Aurelian. "Just wait, understanding will grow even more." She glances over the growing crowd and adds, moving along with Aurelian as others greet Valencia and she is still speaking with him. "So many here, hope if someone speaks to me and do not hear or acknowledge them amid the gathering it is simply not hearing or noticing, not a snub or ignoring."

When there is the addition made of a plus one from Margerie, Kael is chuckling softly and maneuvering he as well as his wife a few steps toward his aunt once more. "Good evening," he says toward Torian, clearly in fine spirits. "Count Kael Keaton and my wife, Countess Reigns." He offers his hand toward the other man in an easy motion. "What is it that I shall fetch for you? Whiskey, you said?" With that notation from Deacon, his brows raise a bit, and he amends, "Or that I ask, kindly, for the staff to fetch." Beat. "Unless it amuses."

Chuckling a bit towards Samael she tilts her head. "That doesn't sound very fun, but it's good to see you nontheless," Joslyn offers with a grin. She gestures to a quieter area. "Shall we sit down somewhere?" she asks Delilah.

Holden has joined the shady tree.

Juliana's gaze slides to the sound of her name, brow arching as she spots Luis and smiles with a dip of her head. Since the man seems occupied the lady leaves him be instead taking a sip of her glass as she glances over the rest of the party. Lucita, Torian both noted with a smile over her glass, if she catches their eyes.

Aurelian nods to Lucita as they walk towards the rose garden. AUrelian appears to be in no hurry, seemingly just giving some space to the hostess with the mostess.

Reigna flashes a bright smile to Deacon and tilts her head, "Oh! You are still very much coming to Keaton Hall for dinner. You were going to tell us all about Setarco, were you not?" She looks to Torian then as she is introduced, her smile a wide and happy thing. She glances to Kael as he said he is to fetch whiskey, "Can you bring me some as well, Kael? Now that I have conquered wine, I should attempt to broaden my tastes."

Joslyn suddenly seems to get a message and kisses Delilah on the cheek. "Sorry, something just... Don't worry about it. Spend some time with Samael, I'll find you later!"

Conker, the Ornery Red Squirrel, Dame Barkley, a chocolate tri beagle leave, following Joslyn.

"Ack." Delilah says in response to Samael, her head tilting to the side. She pulls away from Joslyn's side for just a moment to pull Samael into a warm hug, lifting her glass slightly as to not lose it. "That does not sound good at all... Well, you know that you always have my assistance if you'd like." The woman nods at Joslyn's words, whispering a quick goodbye to her before considering Samael. "Well. Until then, let's take your mind off things with pleasent drink and company."

Luis looks up from the table as the conversations continue, and the man quickly hails a server, speaking with them before sending them off. Once that's done, he gives a bright nod to Deacon, "It is perfectly fine, you take your time, I do so enjoy the...thump thump thump of your songs." The last is said with a laugh and a mischevious wink.

Beams brightly and returns Caprice's hug and kiss without out hesitation. "My sweetest Mistress Caprice! Welcome. I was hoping you would be here. We cannot say a proper farewell to summer without you. You look stunning tonight. Gods, I feel dreary next to you. I adore your dress," she replies. "Come. I am about to formerly welcome everyone," she says pausing to greet Juliana as she arrives. "My lady! What a wonderful suprise! I have not seen you in so long. Thank you for coming. Please make yourself comfortable. YOu must know our lovely Caprice, yes?" she says looking between the women.

Margerie lifts a hand to her chest in mock dismay. "No juggling? Not even to add to the festivities? You may be forgiven this once, but only if you find some other entertainment to regale us with as the evening goes on," she insists, a moment of schooled seriousness in her features betrayed by the twinkle in her eyes. A small gesture between Deacon and Torian and she says, "It seems the two of you share a taste for whiskey. Perhaps there is a flight of different drinks you might sample to determine the finest. It sounds as though Master Torian's recent misadventures might be well served with the momentary forgetting of drink. What sorrows! Do you know who is organizing efforts to help with repairing the damages from the fire?" As for Kael? He even gets a sly little wink when he adds the caveat about amusements.

Samael returns Delilah's hug and then wishes Joslyn well before she departs. He then holds his drink up to Delilah, "It seems I have both accounted for, my friend." He extends his arm to Delilah to hold, "Shall we post up somewhere and let to party come to us or should we be outgoing? I need some more alcohol in me before I'm ready to take you dancing."

Deacon's smile warms his face and he asides a nod to Torian as well. "Master Torian," he greets the man with warmth in his tone. He then nods in agreement and accord with Kael's words. To Reigna, he also nods. "Of course, my Lady. I'm honored to be your guest. I'm happy to regale you with any tale you wish. Tales of Setarco, the story of how I got shipwrecked...whatever you find to be an entertaining distraction." Luis' mention of the song has him barking out another mirthful laugh. "I am very happy you enjoyed it, Lord Luis. I may see occasion to play that one again sometime in the future." With a smile to Margerie then, he shakes his head. "I'm far from being the whiskey expert here, my Lady, but I do enjoy trying new things."

Lucita has joined the rose garden.

Caprice laughs easily at Valencia's remarks. "You should never feel dreary..." There is a teasing pause. "But you should feel horrible for not coming to me for a gown. I suppose I shall forgive you, Darling." She allows her eyes to stray across the area, pausing on one or three people before focusing on Juliana. "Of course, I have met the lovely Juliana. I believe she was the beautiful flower of the gardens." She smiles towards the woman. "You are rather breath-taking tonight. I wish I had but an ounce of your skill to captivate the attention of the world that you so naturally possess."

Delilah grins, lifting her glass to meet Samael's before drawing a long sip of it. She released a soft sigh before admitting, "Truthfully, Samael -- I'm not so good in these bigger festivities. Nor am I good at dancing." The woman slipped an arm around Samael's and she lifted on the balls of her feet to whisper into the man's ear.

Music drifts across the courtyard and gardens to mix with the sound of happy voices and laughter. The air is still warm and the night clear and the sky filled with starts. The little vixen quietly steps forward and the music slowly fades as she coughs gently to get the attention of those assembled.

"If I may, I would like to offer a toast to you," she smiles warmly at the assembled guests, her dark glimmering eyes sincerely to see everyone gathered. "Welcome and thank you so much for being in my Hart and my heart this evening. To have you hear means so much to us. It is moments like these that remind me how lucky we are and how important family and friends can be.

I was not going to ask for donations tonight, but with the recent fire in our city and so many families harmed by this terrible event, I hope you will allow me to announce that the Hart will be collecting donations to aid those affected by the fire,” she continues solemnly. “Donations received tonight, at tomorrow’s event and our upcoming Champion’s Guild on the 21st will be given to this important cause so that families and business can get back on their feet with any funds left over to be used for the creation of a fire brigade to help us combat future emergencies such as this.”

“We are so very blessed in this city in so many ways. I cannot thank you enough for your consideration and support and what you bring to this city and my Hart,” she nods graciously and smiles again. “Here's to light, luck and love.... to beautiful people, friends, family and lovers. To many more sweet summers together and many more beautiful falls. Again thank you. To you all!" The little vixen raises her glass and takes a sip. Once again the music begins and she falls back to let the festivities continue, slipping off into the crowd to meet and welcome everyone.

Torian shakes his head, "Organizing repair efforts? I couldn't tell you. To be fair I don't know much about it, and I've got my hands full with..." And there's a toast or some such thing going on, a celebration of friends and family and well, regardless he's not going to talk over it.

Lucita laughs softly as Aurelian must have said something amusing to her. After a moment of glancing over the garden again, a smile and nod is given Delilah and Samael as her gaze drifts over them. To Aurelian she says "This is where you got my lace veil free of being tangled in the rose thorns. That was such an awkward way to meet you, tangled up in the thorns after leaning over to get the scent of the rose." She goes quiet to listen to Valencia, lifts her glass in a toast and then nods approvingly.

Luis stands as the music fades and as Valencia speaks and when she's done, he raises his glass, "It shall be a wonderful evening, dear gracious hostess and Princess, thank you once again for having us." He cheers for her and then drinks from his glass, waiting patiently for others before he'll sit back down at the table by the fire.

Aurelian lifts his goblet upon hearing Valencia's toast and adds, "To the hostess who acts as a beacon of hope for the city!" for all to hear before taking a sip of his drink. He then nods to Lucita and says, "Yet a meeting was still had. Always key to remember the ways life can surprise us."

Samael smiles to Delilah. "That is quite all right, dear. Don't stay on my account. I'll find some trouble to get into." He watches as Valencia makes her toast and then raises his glass with her and drinks. He claps softly and then looks toward Lucita and shoots her a Samael smile. He looks toward Delilah. "It was nice to see you," he offers.

Juliana pauses as Valencia and Caprice step up, their greeting causing the young Lady to offer a smile and a slight lift of her glass to them both. "Thank you your Highness. Yes Mistress Caprice and I met in the Pravus gardens a few weeks back in the water battles." Jules chuckles. "She did wonderful. I not so much, I blame it on my partner." that last said with a smirk. "You both are stunning this evening."

Holden raises his mg of ale in salute for the toast that Valencia gives, and then lifts it and takes a swallow from it. He continues to watch the crowd for some time, taking in those that come and go. His eyes settle on one or two faces in the crowd that he recognizes, at least in passing.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Juliana before departing.

Serenity arrives, delivering a message to Reigna before departing.

"It was wonderful to run into you as well." Delilah said with a dip to her head towards Samael. She offered Valencia a faint smile and said, "Fill me in with the details soon. I'll be stepping out for now, but I'll do what I can to help." Her gaze fell onto the gathering of people and she wiggled her fingers goodbye before stepping out.

1 Armed Confessors, Confessor Scribble leave, following Delilah.

Estaban comes walking into the garden his blue eyes looking around he is dressed in his leather armor with his sword at his side and his bow on his back. He stays near the back for the moment looking around to see who is about.

Justice, an elegant hunting falcon arrives, delivering a message to Estaban before departing.

Samael is alone again. Actually, he has his best friend, alcohol. Mmm, wine. He moves through the crowd ready to be pounced on for conversation and celebrating.

"I will seek something suitable," remarks Kael, and make no mistake, when his wife is indicating that she wishes to have whiskey as well there is a quirk of his brow. Nonetheless, his head is inclining and he undoubtedly seeks to indulge her in this. He steps back and is conversing with a staff member a short distance away (that is considered fetching drinks, yes?) before returning to the Keaton grouping. Sure enough, there shall be a variety of whiskeys incoming shortly, with a few specially prepared by being blended with honey. In the mean time, without drink, Kael is making fine use of his voice. "Indeed!" he calls forth from his stance, lending support to Princess Valencia.

Margerie inclines her head towards Deacon. "Well perhaps that shall be a challenge to you before you come visit with my nephew at the Hall. To make yourself as expert as you are able in this short time," she suggests. Like others, she falls quiet for the toast, nodding to the solemn turn of events and purpose. She lifts her current drink, or what remains of it, in salute to the Princess and adds a cheer. "Well, Master Torian, that seems to answer that. It seems those efforts are well in hand if our hostess is working on the behalf of those touched by misfortune. You were saying something about your hands being full, though?"

Reigna listens as Valencia speaks, and applauds the Princess in the wake of her words. She murmurs something to Kael and then in a normal volumed voice says, "Princess Valencia is such an inspiration. She always thinks of others. Truly, I often leave her presence with the desire to do more, to reach out and see what I can do. I think I will pick up an additional shift at the Hospital this week. There are so many burn victims." Reigna's joyous smile dims at the serious turn, her heart clearly heavy.

Caprice laughs fully at something said. "Oh, Juliana. I would blame my ride as well. However, I fear that he would not hear of such things. I am sure that we failed only because we were too awesome. Sometimes one becomes such a winner that they turn about to look like they lost. I am sure such was the case with you as well. For surely, one as glorious as you could never lose." Her lips move a bit before she reaches out elegantly to pluck the glass from a tray passing by. She lifts it in a toast to the Princess she is currently near to.

Lucita lifts one hand to give a discrete wave toward Estaban, a warm, happy smile given when she sees him coming into the garden area then a look of concern on spotting the armor in place. "Am over here."

"I am sure you are indeed correct, Caprice. At least on your end. I on the other hand got many close up looks at the bottom of the pool." taking a sip with a flash of amusment in her eyes. "No worries though, I am positive that it was all the Lord Igniseri's fault."

A bell chimes and the first of the courses of the summer’s best foods and wines begin to appear on beautiful platters and laden on long banquet tables for those who prefer to serve themselves. Goat cheese-stuffed apricots, spinach and artichoke stuffed mushrooms, an assortment of meats, cheese and colourful olives, small salmon canapes with capers and dilled lemon cream start to arrive along with a blush-coloured alcoholic punch laden with rum soaked fruit and all manner of drinks and libations to be indulged in.

Luis chimes up from the table by the fire, "Someone couldn't sit still," he remarks, which makes it clear that he can hear the people talking about him. There's a look of mirth upon his face that lingers even as he drinks his beer and welcomes in the armored Estaban, waving at the man, before seeing a server deliver Estaban a whiskey for his entry.

Caprice considers Juliana's thoughts on this matter before she nods her head. "Then I shall take it as truth too. It was all Lord Igniseri's fault. I will have to conclude that he is a terrible ride for women then." She grins fully at the Pravus woman before she turns a bit to look in Luis' direction. When he retorts she adds. "It is not her fault, Dearest Poor Ride, if a man is not use to a woman that moves when riding rather than staying stock still."

Torian seems to be lighter of spirit as Kael returns, though his face darkens some as he realizes that he's been brought only the promise of Whiskey, with the drink itself still to come. "Oh, well you know, as I said I'm a lederer so there's always some shoe or coat or apron or cloak or some thing or another that somebody needs designed or crafted or mended. I've got quite a few apprentices now, which helps, then there's the school my humble little family's started. Not that we're in the best position to get the orphans and them off the street, but the Faith can only do so much and there's those that trust us that live int he Lowers over those that don't so there's that.

Deacon smiles over at Kael once the drinks are ordered. "Many thanks, my Lord," he says graciously. When Valencia speaks up to the party in general, he quiets and listens intently to the woman. With a smile on his lips, he acknowledges her words with a light wave of his hand. He also makes a mental note to take a trip by the bank. Margerie draws his attention then and a laugh from him. "My Lady, are you trying to get me drunk or kill me?" The words are spoken in a playful, jovial tone. "I shall learn whatever I can."

Estaban heads over in Lucitas direction when he spots her, he has gloves on his hands to keep them covered it seems. Walking past Luis he gives him a nod with a smirk but then looks to Lucita, "Lady Lucita," he smiles softly.

Valencia takes a moment to catch her breath and finds herself standing between Holden and Caprice. "My dear Sir Holden, I'm so glad you are here. Have you met my dearest Mistress Caprice? Darling, this is Sir Holden. He's a delight to know," she nods between them and turns to accept a pair of missives offered by one of her lovely serving girls, "Thank you," she whispers turning to offer an apologetic look to Caprice and Holden while she quickly reads them.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Valencia before departing.

Puma, The Stonewood Forest Cat arrives, delivering a message to Valencia before departing.

Lucita's slow sultry smile, one that tends to be reserved for Estaban, shows for a moment before she says. "Lord Marcos finally said it is alright to let the bandages come off? That is good, come meet a friend of mine."

Juliana chuckles as Caprice addresses Luis, hiding most of her mirth behind her glass as she glances towards Luis with an arched brow. Then turning back to the woman leans into Caprice, to whisper something to the woman before straightening again and reaching out to touch the back of her hand. "You really should come visit one day."

Luis gives Caprice a smile at her words, but shakes his head as he turns his attention to the woman with whom she conspires, "Oh, well at least the Lady Juliana has someone to blame for her falling. There was another who seemed to be unable to stand even on her own. Do you remember?" He asks with a soft laugh.

Samael gathers up all the delicious food he comes across and refreshes his wine. "Good evening," he says to a couple as he passes them. "How are you?" he says to another person. "Fine evening," to another. "Princess Valencia is a dream," to yet another.

Holden looks over to Valencia as she approaches and he dips his head to her in greeting. Then he looks over to Caprice and says, "I have not; a pleasure." He offers her a dip of his head in greeting, as well. Though he might argue otherwise as to how much of a pleasure it might be to know him, he opens his mouth, and then closes it again, attempting to simply accept the compliment.

Margerie nods at the description of Torian's work. "Coming from a family quite fine of well crafted attire with a bit of armor and the like in them, I can appreciate the hard work required. And the difficulty being down one arm for a while must present. It is fortunate that you have your apprentices for aid. Perhaps this is an opportunity to focus on teaching the students for a while, and making said apprentices nervous that you have a bit more time to get after them about their work!" Her nearly constant smile falters a bit, though, at something Deacon says. A strange little look takes its place, a blur of a thing before she is once more grinning that impish little grin. "Now now, you may get drunk on your own time as you become expert. And killing you would keep you from being able to pass on your newfound expertise, so hardly a clever plan on my part if that was my aim."

Caprice reaches out to cover Juliana's hand with her own as her voice lowers. Then she smiles vibrantly at Holden. "Sir Holden.." OH---EM--GEE.. Caprice used a title. Someone write it down. "It is wonderful to meet you. Surely, we should find time to talk when a party is not yet unfolding. I am sure you have captivating tales to tell." She stays with Valencia for now. However, Luis' words have her laughing. Nope. Wait. That was a very unladylike snort. "You know.." She looks at the man blankly with a twinkle in her eyes. "I don't know what you are talking about. I seem to recall everyone walking. No one fell or kicked anyone or anything. Surely, the grand Samael here will back up my side." She laughs though and winks towards Luis. "Though if you would like to bring me a drink stronger than this wine, you could remind me of the tale. I think your memory is not as clear as you think it is." She laughs. Then she looks back towards Juliana. "I would always delight in your presence."

Estaban has joined the rose garden.

"Of course," Holden says to Caprice when she suggests they speak another time. He then gives her another nod of his head and withdraws, leaving the Princess and her companionsto speak and making his way to find a refill for his mug which has dwindled slowly through the course of the party.

Kael listens to Torien with a keen amount of interest, despite the dark look that might have been flashed his way due to the lack of imminent liquor. "School?" he murmurs, though the words are more quiet, and mostly to himself. There is a moment more of pause before he queries, "Do you happen to have a shop for your craft?" Ah! And there is the liquor, incoming. A fine amount whiskey, all things told, with a good variety northern of origin. The honeyed blend are set off to the side, but there are a quartet of flights available. First and foremost, he's snaring a honeyed whiskey and offering it to his wife, thereafter offering the others (starting with his Aunt, then Deacon, and thereafter Torien) the start of the flights. He'll take the last.

Samael is stopped in his tracks as he passes behind Caprice and she makes mention of him. He steps up to back her up. "I think I would remember when beautiful naked woman lands on me," he says before taking a long drink from his wine. He grins widely and greets the gathering. Luis, Caprice, Juliana and whoever else is around.

Looking between Torian and Margerie, Reigna is distracted when Kael hands her a drink. He is kissed on the cheek for his thoughtfulness and soon enough she is looking back to Torian. She nods to Kael's question about a school and says, "I am both a physician and a Scholar of Velichor. If there is anything I can do... from going to the Lowers and offering first aid to teaching it to others... I would be glad to lend aid." Her offer seems utterly sincere.

Holden has left the shady tree.

As Caprice leans in, Jules coughs, covering her mouth with her hand, eyes twinkling before she nods to Caprice. "Perhaps you are right." answering. Samael gets a nod. "I have no doubt at all that you would." then a nod to Holden. "Sir, a pleasure to meet you. If you will excuse me, I will leave you in the Mistress's capable hands." a wink to them both and Jules turns to cross to Luis, leaning down behind him to place a fast kiss against what must be his burning ears.

Juliana has joined the table by the fire.

Torian grins a little at Reigna, "Well, to be fair I suppose we're always looking to get new mentors. Tell you what, you can call upon me at the Lederer of the Lowers Leatherworking shop..." He goes a little pink in the cheeks, "Lowers Leather most would call it, and we'll see if we can work something out. In the mean time, just keep spreading the word to whatever rich friends you might have, and we'll see if we can't keep the doors open next month."

Valencia lifts an eyebrow and tucks away the missives for now and tries to regain a focus on the party around her. "Pardon me a moment, darlings," she says, offering a little smile to those nearby as slips to properly speak with the Count and Countess of Keaton, their aunt Margerie and Torian. "Apologies," she smiles. "Master Torian, I'm so glad you are here. Welcome. Your school is such a good idea. I should like to help with that if I can," she nods graciously to the man. "How are you enjoying our city so far, my lady," she asks gently of Margerie.

Torian waves to Valencia with the arm that isn't in the sling. "Mae's got people mostly fed witht he soup kitchen I think, and the building's paid for, so we basically just need to keep the word going so we can get donations for salaries and the like. I mean, I can get by taking time to mentor the orphans because I'm a man of resourcefullness, but not everybody can. Plus some of the things we use to teach don't last forever you know, crafting supplies and the like." A little more of a sly grin then, "Of course I'm always happy to bend some ears, or some arms, in return if needed."

Smiling at Margerie, he blinks a couple of times owlishly. "Oh! No, my Lady. I was merely joking. When the drinks come around, he smiles his thank you to the server and then raises his glass to Kael. "Thank you, my Lord." His attention returns to Margerie then. "I meant only that becoming an expert in such a short time is likely to be painful. I meant no offense." That said, he returns his attention to his drink for the moment, sipping quietly.

Left with burning ears that are soothed, if only a little, by the Lady joining them at the table, Luis gives a fond smile and offers Juliana an ale. "Why thank you for at least attempting to make it seem as though I was not entirely useless," he adds, with a dry laugh. Now that the table is starting to fill, Luis settles in, no longer looking as though he may leave at any moment. "So then, this place also has a pool and both Deacon and Valencia, as well as Waldemai here are all familiar with the rules... Actually I do believe that many of the people here have played such a game before."

There is a nod to Torien and then as Valenica arrives, Reigna is moving to embrace the tiny vixen. "This is a gorgeous party. But all of your soirees are beautiful. I meant it when I said you are an inspiration my dear." Reigna releases Valencia and then looks from Kael to Torian. "Well, send me a messenger when I might be of use. If I can make it, I will. Full disclosure, I did just have a child, so my time is owed to our son." She flashes a smile to Kael and then looks back to Torian, "I admit, I am curious -- Kael asked about a school?"

Again the bell chimes and yet more platters are brought to the crowd by pretty serving girls to all those who wish partake… platters of basil wrapped cheeses drizzled in rich balsamic and olive oil, tasty morsels of finely seasoned braised bacon wrapped beef, sweet plump scallops in a succulent garlic cream and a rich red Lycene out of Lenosia now arrive.

Kael's head inclines when there is the kiss to his cheek, and he is hefting up his glass of whiskey himself. Or at least the first of the set so that he might take a ginger sip. With the approach of Valencia, he inclines his head to her and lowers his voice a bit, waiting for a pause in the conversation before asking quietly, "Is there a certain dollar amount that you are hoping to reach by way of donations?" He gestures, vaguely. "By the end of the events, that is?" A pause then, before even more quietly, he adds, "If it is all right to ask." To the words of gratitude offered to him from Deacon, Kael lifts his own glass toward him and offers a smile.

Caprice laughs fully at Juliana's comment. "You.. you, I might truly like. We should take drinks and work on that." She smiles at Valencia and then turns to look at Samael. "Oh.." She offers in a feigned manner. "Does that happen to you often, Sam? I think that you should find yourself blessed if naked women fall upon you." She laughs again and looks around the party more before she tosses her slightly damp hair. Everything is a little more funny today. She looks at Juliana and Luis for a few moments before her eyes slide across the party again.

Margerie's attention is pulled from the more serious topics with Torian by those unfairly distracting whikeys. She gives Kael a grateful look and then plucks up whatever drink catches the light most playfully and swirls it about as she listens to the nearby conversations. The lady holds it up to forestall Deacon's anxious words. "As was I, friend. My sense of humor occasionally sneaks about to strange places, I confess." When Valencia approaches, there is a curtsey. "I think I have become most thoroughly smitten with your city in the few days I have been here. Especially when celebrations like this can so swiftly and graciously turn to good works. I am sure we will be arranging a suitable donation to assist your efforts, as my nephew suggests."

Torian chuckles a little, moving his good arm to rub at his bad shoulder, "Yeah, we're pretty awful at advertising, but that's because we're basically full up as is. With the orphans I mean. The Culler Safe Harbor House is the school though, along the beach walk. Ultimately as long as kids need food and teachin' and ain't got no parent but me and what staff I can scrape together, there won't be a limit to the coin we'd need to keep it going. Only then does he realize Kael is talking about Valencia's event... and that he's been shilling for his own things right there basically infront of her. "Sorry, I'm uh... kind of in a bit of pain. Forgive my lack of manners."

Plus some of the things we use to teach don't last forever you know, crafting supplies and the like."

Samael gathers up passing food, some of that finely seasoned braised bacon wrapped beef. He looks toward Caprice and shakes his head. "I can't say I've had much occasion for it to," he says with a grin. "But I remember every time it does. How are you tonight, Caprice? You look resplendent." He takes a long sip of his wine to wash down the delicious food.

"You are far to kind to me, my dearest Countess," Valencia smiles, giving the lovely woman a gentle touch on the arm. "Truly is you and so many other lovely hostess that inspire me. I must say your parties make me just reel with delight. Turning to Kael she shakes her head, "The more we raise the better. What remains will go to build a better brigand to respond to fire. In fact, Master Torian had a very interesting contraption I would like to speak with him about some time. Perhapas we might join forces," she says turning to offer a nod to Torian. "I am glad you are enjoying it so, my Lady Margerie, I hope you will attend our event tomorrow as well, yes? It is one of my favourites." A smile is send Luis' way and she calls out, "The pools are lovely this time of night, please feel free to indulge if it pleases." Returning her attention to Torinan she frowns slightly, "From the fire?" she asks.

Jules laughs "Luis, you are far from useless.. that I can assure you. Just need to figure out what other uses one can have for you." teases as she settles beside him. A glance back to Caprice and winks. "You can help me torture Sebastian."

Luis sits back a little as servers lade the table by the fire with foods and the like and he sets his ale aside, "Well then, it would seem it was a good thing that I didn't eat before coming," he explains, chuckling as he selects through the wonderful finger foods, eating slowly so as to make sure he has a chance to try everything.

Caprice laughs again. "Resplendent..." She mouths the word a few times. "That one is a good word. I feel that I shall decree it as the only address I will answer to when I am elevated to PrincessEmpressRUlerPerson.." Caprice chuckles and stage whispers, "I'm not trying to be elevated." Then winks to the man. "I would likely remember a naked person falling on me. I hope I would remember. It truly depends on how much I have drank beforehand or consumed." She smiles at Jules widely. "Name the time. I shall work on my torture skills. I mean sure, some call it singing, but just you wait."

Luis also raises a mushroom Valencia's way as she speaks to him, "Thank you dear Princess, you do recall the Joining of Jhond by the Pond, no? Such games have become a large hit, it would seem."

Deacon isn't so much anxious as he does look a bit more subdued than usual. Sipping from his whiskey again, he settles his gaze apologetically on Margerie. "'Tis my own fault, my Lady. I have been spending long hours composing and planning. I am not my usual vibrant self." He lifts his drink to her and warms his expression. "Worry not for your sense of humor. Things have just been a teensy bit hectic for me of late. A story for another time!" Flashing her another smile then, he turns his head and settles his eyes on Kael with a smile. "I do know the rules," he offers as and aside to the man. "I'm just used to officiating, not participating." He gestures with his glass over to Luis, who had been talking about the water battle things. "So how have the days been treating you, my Lord? Well, I hope."

Torian furroughs his brow. "Contraption?" He wonders allowed before the candle above his head goes alight and he realizes what she means, "Oh yeah, you mean the Torian Culler Temporary Aquadcut?" he makes up a name for his unfurled canvas on the spot, "Yeah, I'll gladdly sell design rights. That seems like a good thing to do right? Spread the design and take only a modest fee?" He's got a lop-sided grin by the time he gets to the end of that sentance.

Zelda, the royal messenger arrives, delivering a message to Samael before departing.

Zelda, the royal messenger arrives, delivering a message to Caprice before departing.

Samael shoots a smile at Caprice, simply enthralled by her way. "You are very funny," he says. "I should have meet you much sooner, I think." As Zelda finds him, he takes her message and thanks her. He opens the message and reads it before stuffing it into his coat and taking a drink from his wine.

Zelda, the royal messenger arrives, delivering a message to Deacon before departing.

"I could never be too kind, Princess. Though I am thrilled at your praise of my parties." Reigna looks to Margerie and taps her chin idly before sipping her honeyed whiskey with only a *slightly* pinched look at the burn, "I believe I should throw our dear Lady Keaton a welcome to Arx party!" She smiles to Margerie with a wink, and then focuses on Torian, nodding. "I see. I am serious, send me a messenger when you have need of a tutor and I shall see what I can do."

Luis seems to come out of whatever reverie he was enjoying at the table and then nods to the others that have overheard the conversations, "Yes! See, far from useless!" he exclaims, then nods, "Torture the Lord Sebastian, that seems fair. Though leave his sculptures along, they are glorious."

Caprice looks up as Zelda turns around and hands her a message. The two share a humored look before she offers, "I will ki--.." She looks around. That's not right joke to make. "Tell him I'm on my way and he's a jerkface. Wait. I'll tell him the other part." She smiles towards Samael. "I think when we meet is a wonderful time. In fact, I have to go see a person about a thing, but we shall meet again so very soon. Then it will seem like no time has passed." She blows Deacon a kiss and then pauses to look at Sam. "I am still waiting for dinner." Then she's on her way out.

Food lands on the table and Juliana arches a brow, a slow glance over the offerings before reaching for the most decadent, sweet sticky thing she can find bfore taking a bite with a little hum of pleasure.

Kael nods to Torian and it is quite clear that there is a keen amount of interest there from the young man, though he is not interjecting or asking further questions. Instead, after a moment or two he is focusing in on their gracious hostess once more. "Who is currently in charge of the fire brigand?" he asks, his voice a curious thing. "I might be interested in discussing their training exercises with them." He regards Deacon in brief before he offers him a kindly, "We all have our days, I assure you of this." It's simple side commentary, but kindly meant.

Samael raises his glass toward Caprice in farewell. He drifts off back into the crowd, gathering up food as he goes.

Margerie turns her head towards Reigna when Valencia mentions an event the next night. "You will have to tell me all about tomorrow's excitement on the way home this evening! I do hope I shall be able to attend, your highness. I find myself dreadfully curious about it now. Perhaps you can get this young fellow here to compose something for your event tomorrow," she suggests, nodding towards Deacon. Oh yes, she heard his description of all those tense planning hours. Surely it wouldn't be too great a challenge to add something else to the pile, would it? "It sounds as though he may be in the grips of a creative fever!"

The little vixen smiles Luis' way and laughs, "Indeed," she smiles and her cheeks flush pink. "Though as you recall I had a most exceptional partner. I would join him again if he would have me," she calls over. "It does seem a rather popular game, yes? Perhaps Missere Deacon might set us a round or two?"

Once more the bell sounds and the course changes to things more sweet and palate cleansing, large platters of sweets of all kinds, honey almond cakes kissed with raspberry icing, an impressive tower of sweet cream filled profiteroles piled high into a cone and bound with threads of caramel, small sour cherry tarts, sweet summer berries, plump succulent grapes, freshly minted green melon, an assortment of cheeses and honeyed figs are seen along with a sweet yet tart dessert wine to wash it all down.

Aurelian has left the rose garden.

Another servant arrives on the scene, but her outfit doe not conform with those who are working the party. The blond looks a little anxious as she beelines towards the Keaton knot. She taps Reigna's elbow and murmurs to the Countess, who immediately looks a little concerned. Reigna nods to the blonde who hurries off and then Reigna is turning to those near, "I am sad to say it, but I need to return to the Hall. Squall is not feeling well and his nurse is worried." She looks to those near and flashes an apologetic smile, though it is dimmer than her usual. She looks to Kael then and says, "I am certain he is fine, but I do want to go and see for myself? You understand." She glances to Margerie and nods, "You are welcome to stay, my lady, I can arrange for an escort to see you back home?"

"I would be glad to discuss price with you, Master Torian, but I know you will be fair for the good of our city, yes?" Valencia nods sweetly, as though Torian would no no less that his best for Arx. "May I call on you another time? I would love for you to enjoy the party."

Knitting his brows together, Deacon allows himself a warm chuckle to Kael. "Oh for the love of the Gods, my Lord," he says, his smiles lines deepening with his cheerful expression. "I would not compare my 'off days' to yours. I assure you that youre duties are far more stressful." He looks over to Caprice and blows a kiss to her in return. Margerie's words draw a look and a smile from the courtesan then. "Or I could just get up with my fiddle tomorrow and sing a bawdy shanty or two, hm?" he suggests with a bit more playfulness to her and a conspiratory smile. Looking to Valencia then, he lofts his brows upwards. "Mm? A round or two of what, your Highness?"

Torian nods a few times, but is rubbing at his shoulder again. "Yes, a latter time would be best." he sighs a little and looks around some, "I think, if you'll all excuse me, that I need to get some rest for my impressively heroic injuries."

Thesarin makes his way into the party as the desert trays are brought out. He's wearing light silk shirts, and his skin is covered with linen gauze in several patches, but he walks with a straight and even step all the same, taking in the spectacle of the event.

Luis bows his head to her Highness, "Were things to happen, I should imagine it shall be later in the evening, when the more upright folks would not wish to be disturbed by the wonderful games that us more... exuberant types play," he offers to Valencia, but then adds to Deacon, "Ah, the game you had us play at the Pravus party. Pravuswaterbattle is what I believe his Majesty called it," he offers. Turning back to the table, he chats with Lethe and Juliana and Waldemai as some of them eat.

Samael approaches Thesarin and smiles to him, holding up his glass. "Count," he greets him. "I heard about your exploits the other day," he says gesturing toward the gauze. "Very valiant. You represent the duchy well."

Make no mistake, when that servant comes to intercept his wife, Kael is looking curiously toward her. That, before the actual words come. Just like that, he is moving to slip in to Reign and offer his arm. It seems he shall be offering his arm to her, and most certainly playing the role of escort. "If you will excuse us," he murmurs apologetically to the group as a whole. He begins to address Margerie, but his wife is already offering an escort. So it is that he focuses on Deacon and flashes him a smile to his words. "Drink and tales another time," he says. "This, perhaps, is becoming a theme." His head bows low to Valencia and he adds, "A beautiful event," by way of departure.

Estaban has left the rose garden.

Lucita watches as others seem to be leaving and gives them an amicable smile. She moves to where she can see some of the lovely foods offered, gets a sampling of them on a small plate and returns to Estaban, playfully reaching up to feed him a bite.

Margerie bows her head to Valencia. "Your Highness, by your leave. I do hope to see you tomorrow. If tonight is an indication, it is not to be missed. I am still rather enchanted by my new great nephew and would like to look in as well. I hope that the entertainments tomorrow shall be /just/ bawdy enough." Luis' talk of waterbattles? She lifts an eyebrow towards Deacon, bemusement answering his playfulness. "A good evening to you all. And thank you for everyone's hospitality!"

With her party all following, Reigna turns and after a final, albeit worried smile to Valencia, she is turning, arm in arm with Kael to follow the nurse out of the party.

Echo, a juvenile Oakhaven bloodhound leaves, following Kael.

Oaken, a massive Oakhaven bloodhound, Kael, Margerie leave, following Reigna.

Laughing politely at Kael, Deacon knits his brows together at him. "It is. I would tell my tales more candidly, but some simply aren't for mixed company. They range from the strange to the positively lurid." Chuckling then, he shifts his attention over to Luis as he speaks. "Oh! You want me to officiate? It may not be the best of nights for me to do so. Another time. Tonight I am just relaxing, I fear." With that said, he looks again to Margerie and inclines his head in a nod to her. "Have a good evening, my Lady," he says. He doesn't remark on her puzzled look.

Thesarin nods to Samael as the other man approaches, clasping a fist to his chest. Lightly. "Did my part, I think," the Prodigal states simply. "And came out with just a few burns. How's the night finding you, my Lord?"

"Just fine, now," Samael says toward Thesarin after taking a drink of his wine. "Every young woman I talk to has left, though," he says furrowing his brow and then grinning playfully.

Lethe has left the table by the fire.

Lethe stands from the table and gives one last look to those sitting there before going.

Luis tilts his head out towards Samael as the man seems to be wondering aloud at his loss of ladies, "Well perhaps if you are naked in the pool they will flock to your side again, or mayhaps even fall in your lap?" Luis offers, teasing, but giving the man an apologetic toast. He then flags a server so as to make sure Samael has a good drink in hand, to go with his wine. He looks towards Lucita as he sees her other friend having left, "Why don't you come join us, dear sister?" He offers, still sitting at the table with Juliana and Waldemai.

Lucita has left the rose garden.

"Well, at a party, aren't you? Meeting folk seems much of the point." Thesarin's resting scowl takes a bit of a quirk to one side, as he looks over toward Luis, and moves to get a wineglass of his own.

Lucita watches as the crowd thins out. "Perhaps so." She is rather quiet for the time being as she strolls in the direction of the table.

Lucita has joined the table by the fire.

Jules glances back, following Luis's gaze to his sister only to smile at Lucita. "Do come sit with us, Lady Lucita. It is good to see you again."

Samael gets a refreshed wine glass and returns Luis' toast. "A fine idea, Lord Luis," he says with a smile. "Care you get the skinny dipping underway?" he asks. He turns toward Thesarin and gestures toward Luis. "Have you met? This is Lord Luis Igniseri," he says by way of introduction. He then looks toward Luis. "This is Count Thesarin Riven."

Deacon finishes his drink and eventually starts to wander off as well. The tall, lean courtesan does look a bit more tired than he usually does. "Good evening, everyone," he announces in a subdued, but still cheery tone. "I apologize. I must be off to get some rest."

Lucita nods to each of the others at the table, giving them a smile. "Estaban had to slip out a moment to adjust his armor, part of it was not resting well on his healing burns, not sure if he will decide to return or not." She explains as she joins those at the table. "Skinny dipping again? Oh, come now, at this party?" An interested glance is given Thesarin and Samael as they speak.

Luis laughs and shakes his head at Samael, "I'm three for three here now, I think I'll let someone else take the lead this time, such as it is. I do not want to always steal the show... and there already is a beautiful moon out," he gestures to the sky, then chucles at Deacon, "Aww, do take care, good sir, I would wish to hear some of your new compositions soon!"

Valencia bids a fond farewell to her departing guests and smiles to see Thesarin arrive, "My dearest Count! How lovely to see you, welcome," the little vixen smiles as he moves to join the others at the table. "Won't you join us?" she smiles at the fierce looking lord nodding to the table.

"Did I miss him playing?" Thesarin asks as Deacon makes his exit. "Shame." He notes Lucita's look and gives a short nod as he moves toward the table. "Princess. Thought I'd show my face, at least. Healing well?"

Valencia has joined the table by the fire.

Juliana arches a brow, looking to Samael then back to Luis. "It's this dress, isn't it? Everytime I wear it, you try to get me into the water." a wink to Lucita. Then a soft cough given as Luis' head is tipped towards for a moment, covering the chuckle with a sip of ale. Looking instead to the Smith. "And do you still have family there?" to Lucita. "Restless, but that has been a given as of late. And in truth, the coolness of the mornings has me looking forward to winter.

Samael turns as Thesarin departs for the table. He takes a long sip from his wine before wandering back into the crowd.

And then they are down several more people and it is a smaller crowd that exists, "Count Thesarin, I do believe you are the last one standing. Did you wish to put on a show for us, or would you like to join us at the table as well?" Luis offers, giving the others around him a glance and chuckles as he bows his head to Valencia as she graces the table with her presence, "Ah, thank you Princess for such a wonderful evening. I do believe that everyone has had a lovely time."

Lucita gets a mellow-toned lute with gilt painted roses from a feminine carryall with colorful quilted padding.

Lucita checked charm + performance at difficulty 15, rolling 45 higher.

"Not much of a showman, I'm afraid." Thesarin goes to sit at the table, shaking his head slowly as he sets down wine and pastries on the tabletop. "My brother used to say I should use my singing to clear fields of battle." He settles into a seat, with evident care.

Thesarin has joined the table by the fire.

Lucita pulls out the lute she has in its padded carry case and lays it across her lap. She idly begins to play a soft melody as a background for the conversations in progress, low enough to not drown out conversation. It has no particular lyrics, just segueing gently as Lucita's mood guides it. To Waldemai she says "hot forges. My first winter here had my clothing misplaced during transport so I arrived near frozen and my room not yet complete, icy drafts, noise. I wound up here huddled around the fireplace table and drinking hot tea or mulled wine while reviewing the stacks of notes Marquessa Quenia had bundled up for me. Luis, Lucky Luis was back in Granato at the time.

"I believe that everyone is well content, your highness." Juliana assures Valencia with a smile. As Lucita starts to play the girl falls quiet for a moment, sipping at her ale, a smirk give to Luis at the mention if protecting her dress.

Valencia gives a little smile at Thesarin's words. "I cannot imagine you would be that bad, else I'm sure your talents might be used all things consider," she smiles sweetly. "How are you healing, my Count is it a little better?" she asks turning to offer a smile to Waldemai, happy to see he is enjoying the Hart's libations with zeal. Glancing over she takes in Juliana's dress and smiles. "It is a lovey gown," she nods. "It looks so beautiful on you. I would hate to see it ruined."

Waldemai admits to Lucita, "I have a room, over in the Upper Boroughs. But I sleep in the shop, with the forge. As long as I can afford the charcoal, I don't have to worry about getting cold."

Luis smiles as Lucita pulls out her lute, nodding to Waldemai, "Ah, look she is going to play for us tonight, your wish is granted," he says to the Smith and then adds, "And Granato was warm and wonderful, and I had thick blankets that I did relax in every evening, dear sister. I know how much you wished to be here..." he teases her, then raises his mug as Thesarin sits down with them, "Well then, we're a small group, Count, why not just enjoy Lucita's playing and the wonderful food and drink and company that our dear princess has provided this evening?" he says, nodding along with Juliana as she says that everyone is well cotnent. "And you, your highness, are you enjoying your evening?" he asks, "Is there anything that we can get you?" he offers, chuckling softly at the mention of dresses.

"Better, day by day. As it always is." Thesarin gives another slow shake of his head, and makes a low noise at the back of his throat. "As we can hope, any rate. Hope you're recovering?" He nods again, listening to Lucita's playing, and looks over to Juliana's arms, trying to see if the ink on her arm was placed with a brush or a needle.

Lucita murmurs to Valencia. "Hope with just the few of us you do not mind this. Did not really want to entertain, just... felt like I wanted to play for a little while if it did not bother anyone." She is not playing anything in particular, just letting the songs drift along with her mood, very soft, gentle sounds that permit easy conversation.

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Lucita before departing.

Luis shakes his head along with Thesarin, "You are bothering no one, please do continue to play, dear sister," Luis replies to Lucita's comment, but then nods to Thesarin, "I am glad to hear that everyone is recovering. Such a terrible thing to happen."

"I am content if my guests are content," Valencia offers back, smiling softly as Lucita prepares to play. "My darling Lady Lucita, your music is always a delight. If it pleases you to play, then please do. It is always such a treat," she smiles gratefully. "And yes, I am, my Count. But my injuries were not as bad as some," she replies, holding out lightly bandaged hands that she quickly hides back in the folds of her dress.

Lydia looks about as she enters, seeming almost sheepish with the realization she's nearly missed the party. And Lydia loves parties such as this. She wastes no more time before starting her search for Valencia, and has a smile and a warm hug for most anyone she passes along her path.

Lucita says, "What of the child who had the broken legs that Estaban was telling me about her one time after Lord Marcos was changing the bandages on his hands and arms and back before the whiskey eased the pain enough for him to sleep." Lucita nods to the newcomer politely. "Has anyone heard if she was recovering?""

Juliana leans slightly against Luis, seeming content to watch Lucita play, listening to the conversations as she sips her ale quietly.

"Terrible, yes. Won't be the last." Thesarin takes a long pull from his wine, his perpetual scowl darkening further. "Dark days." There's a pause, and he shakes his head again, forcing a smile. "Could have been worse." Thesarin looks toward Lucita, and is quiet another moment. "...the Mercies said she'd live. That's something."

Luis seems a bit in shock as Valencia holds out bandaged hands, "Oh, dear Princess, forgive me, I had not even noticed the bandages when I had greeted you earlier, you are mending? That is good to hear, though I am still impressed you carried on with the party even injured," he gives her a smile. There's a pause as he feels the presence of Juliana at his side, looking to Lucita as she speaks of horrible things and Luis finds himself having to drink as well. "I am sorry to hear that such things happened as well, I had not heard..." that is a sobering thought and Luis goes quiet a moment, even as Lydia enters, looking up, "Ah, hello and welcome..." he calls out to Lydia, pausing to wave her over to their table which is laden with food and sweets and drink, should any wish to partake.

"She is still gravely injured when I checked last. Her siblings are staying at the Hart until family can be found," Valencia says soflty, her smile fading from her face. She nods to Luis and rallies a smile for him, "Yes, I am thank you. I was not hurt as badly as some by the gods grace," she says with a meaningful look Thesarin's way. "There is so much to repair. I just hope we can raise enough funds for the. I have conceded to take on the expenses for the four rescued children myself if they cannot find their family. Master Waldemai has kindly offered to apprentice the older ones," she says looking to Waldemai and then from Lucita to Luis and then Juliana and back. The arrival of Lydia draws her attention for a moment and she rises to greet her with a warm gently hug and a peck on the cheek. "My darling, I'm glad you're here. Come, have you met everyone," she asks guiding her to the table.

Eagerly approaching, Lydia throws her arms around Valencia and gives her as crushing a hug as she can. An adorably crushing one given her short stature and exceedingly light build. She glances at Luis, "Well met, stranger." She grins to everyone. "Lydia," is all she says by way of explanation, not relinquishing her hold on Valencia just yet.

Waldemai nods when he is called upon. "It is the least we can do...The children will need good trades."

Since the music is following Lucita's mood, a bit of poignant sadness filters into the song, then at Thesarin's comment regarding Terrible and Won't be the last. There is dismay and loss prominent amid the notes, something Lucita quickly corrects by ceasing the music and laying her hand across the strings, silencing them. "That's something, M'Lord." She gives an approving nod to Valencia and Waldemai. It is with effort she starts to play again, a more upbeat song but one that is a mere standard one common to salons and genteel gatherings. "Lady Lucita Ignisera. A pleasure to meet you , Lydia."

Thesarin nods to Lydia from his seat at the fire, drawing himself to stand with a certain amount of care. The Prodigal us dressed in light silks, for the temperature, and much of the skin that can be seen is covered with bandages. "Should talk to Prince Ainsley on paying the children's way. Would do him some good."

Jules glances towards Valencia, her head tilted a little. "How old are these children? I am getting ready to retire my maid and send her back to Setarco to live out her days in warmth. But it means I will be looking for a replacement soon. I don't mind training one.. if they like it and we fit well it would give them a position for as long as the wish."

Valencia looks confused. "Why do you say that, my Count," the little vixen asks.

Waldemai bobs his head toward the newcomer. "Waldemai Isenhu, my lady," he says. "I am a smith...that's the trade I was offering to take the children into."

The young duchess appears uninjured, though frail of build clearly not the result of any recent tragedy. Dressed herself in rose-colored silks that also show a fair bit of flesh, she starts to feel very self-conscious as her eyes rake the dressings on so many present. Even her beloved Valencia! She holds Valencia's hands gingerly in her own, looking up silently with concern.

Luis nods his head along with the music until it stops, then as it starts again, he smiles at Lucita, "Ah, Lydia, I am Lucita's much younger and more rugged sibling, Luis," he offers as well as putting a very large emphasis on 'younger' that done, he listens as the rest speak, nodding along as offers are made for the children and he all of a sudden feels out of place. Giving each of them a small smile, but also drinking his ale to cover up whatever emotions linger.

"Count Thesarin of Riven. Good meeting you." The big Prodigal gives a nod to Lydia; even in silks, the effect of the big man is of a shav'arvani dressed up in silks. He turns to Valencia, his voice softening a little. "When a man has a guilt for something can't be fixed, it helps to set him to something of use."

"It is kind of you to offer Juliana," Valencia smiles sweetly. "But let us see their sibling well and hopefully reunited with those that love them. This need not be a sad story. We shall do what we can for them to make it a happy one, and with light, luck and love, a better ending for other, too, yes?" she smiles and nods, resolved to turn a tragedy into triumph. A sweet and gently smile is offered to Thesarin. "COme, let us be happy that we can still help many, yes?"

Luis has left the table by the fire.

Leana, an Igniseri Guard have been dismissed.

Juliana has left the table by the fire.

Lucita finishes playing the song so she does not leave people in a sad song memory and then smiles. "I better head along back home. Thank you for hosting this Princess.

Lucita has left the table by the fire.

2 Igniseri novice guards leaves, following Lucita.

Waldemai has left the table by the fire.

"My pleasure," the little vixen smiles. "Thank you so much."
