Squire Serad Iron Foot, Timmons, a malicious pygmy goat arrive, following Edain.

Edain makes his way towards the Judgement Green and he is... well he wasn't sure what he was expecting but this is.. this is impressive, "Oh wow.. this is a lot of maze.."

Judgement green is filled, invited individuals making their way through the three entry points into the maze to get to the party in the center that can be seen from the fringe's and the music filtering out above the tall panels of wicker and the potted shrubbery. Servants wait with drinks outside it, for those going in so that one does not die of thirst before making it to the center.

Edain checked luck at difficulty 7, rolling 16 higher.

The Prince of Sanctum eventually finds himself through the maze and quite frantkly, he looks a bit like he did infact trie to get through and over some of the walls from the way his hair his mussed and his face is scratched and well there might be a leaf or two in his hair, "Ha! Nothing to it!" he proclaims as he finds the party in the center. He looks around trying to find the Princess in questions who's day of birth we celebrate.

At the heart of the maze, beyond newly arrived guests tittering amongst themselves as they slowly move through the winding paths with stolen glances over the artfully erected walls, Katarina sits upon a bench feeding Aioni a few bits of young owl-appropriate food -- who knows what that is! He's stroked and spoiled rotten, as a prince might be. "Of course, you're Prince of Sanctum! No maze is too hard for you," she laughs, rising to her feet to receive him with the most warm of receptions for her elder brother.

Khinn, the Surly Attendant arrives, following Saedrus.

"He must have cheated, surely." Alarissa calls out at the sight of Edain, the formerly Valardin, formerly Grayson Princess in her white dress with it's embroidered flowers sitting near Katarina. But she's smiling widely, remaining seated. "You are supposed to gather a feather and go to the table indicated, but you can cheat and join us here" Alarissa points out.

Saedrus checked luck at difficulty 7, rolling 3 higher.

Saedrus arrives to the greens with his attendant, Khinn, not far behind him. The thug doesn't actually look like he's keen on joining the party and just lurks about on the outskirts of the maze while Saedrus takes up a drink and considers the entry. "This is lovely," he says with a small smile, evergreens taking in all that he is able. Twists and turns and more than a little luck leads the courtier towards the center. It's not hard to miss him even without the length of snowy white hair -- he's dress in pearlescent silver silks that catch even the softest light.

Edain makes his way to the benches and joins Princess Katarina and Princess Alarissa, "I am hurt that you would think that I cheated. I was merely testing the structural integrity of the Maze." To Katarina, the Princess of the Hour he offers a low bow, "Happy Birthday Princess Katarina!"

3 Iron Guardsmen arrives, following Calaudrin.

"You're far too honorable to cheat," Katarina claims of her elder brother on a sweet tinkle of laughter, raising up to tug him into a tight embrace. He could truly do no wrong in her eyes, seriously! No socks with boots is proof enough. "Thank you, Your Grace! Princess Alarissa -really- did something magical with all this, didn't she? Truly all wonderful." The Eurusi-born Valardin is a second from squeeing, as her cheeks warm with delight to wave Saedrus in. "Master Saedrus! You made it through the maze, flawlessly, I see. Better than I fared. I got lost, twice."

"I wound you." A hand going to her chest, Alarissa just grins. But the sight of Saedrus has Alarissa rising from the bench, surprise on her face. "And thus, we have woo'd a Whisper forth. That and it seems he did not need to go through partitions to make it." She teases Edain even while beckoning Saedrus over. "It was not too hard I hope, to make your way into the party Dear Whisper."

3 Iron Guardsmen leaves, following Calaudrin.

"It is a terribly impressive maze," Saedrus chortles to Katarina, bowing to the Princess -- since it is her birthday after all -- "Happy birthday, your Highness, and I hope you have been thoroughly spoilt by your family." Saedrus smiles, rising from his bow to offer another gracious dips to Edain and Alarissa. "Your Grace," to the former, "lovely to see you again." And to the latter, "Princess Alarissa, your Grace, you have done a simply spectacular! It is wonderful." A blink, "through the partitions?" he looks towards Edain.

Edain stands and bows for Saedrus, "Minister Saedrus, It is good to see you tonight." He looks to Alarissa then and smiles, "Only a very little." He reclaims his seat and says, "So my present to you was going to be to give you pontoon horse shoes so that you could add aquatic cavalry to your fleet, but I am afraid they did not perform well in testing."

Katarina's cheeks dimple with the curl of her mouth. "Thank you, for both your well wishes and being able to make it," she tells Saedrus, before turning to offer him a place upon the benches beside them. "It is always a delightful pleasure to have the company of the Softest Whisper, especially one dear of my Prince Courtier." At Edain, she manages a slow blink. Then another, before bursting into a vibrant laughter. "It's the brilliant thought that counts, no? You can always gift me something else, like an old and fantastic tiiitle... more shiiiips...." she sing-songs playful suggestions.

"Especially more shiiiiips," Katarina poses aside to Alarissa pointedly.

"The trouble was finding open space enough. But it panned out well. Far easier to clean up than bringing grass indoors. But it is none the less worth such for the Princess Katarina." People continue to filter in, some skipping using the maze proper to enter and coming in with the server who refresh food and drink through a paneled opening that doesn't require such skill. Pontoon horse shoes though, cause laughter. "I would quite imagine that such would not." But Katarina is looking to her and she looks to Katarina. "I shall give to you a ship in the Thrax navy. I promise. Look for it tomorrow in the harbor."

Edain nods to Katarina and says, "Well perhaps it is time we made our fleet a bit more modern..." he rubs his chin considering, "I'll see what I can do about more ships."

Saedrus' cheeks warm pleasantly and he dips his head to Katarina, "it is an honour to be able to attend, your Highness." he assures, taking the offered seat by Katarina. One leg crosses smoothly over the knee of the other and Saed sips a little from his drink, evergreens turning out to consider the other guests dipping into the maze. "Aquatic calvary?" he echoes of Edain, "what a bold thought. A shame it did not quite work out. I think that would be most impressive," he frowns then, "I did not bring a gift-- though, I would like to extend an offer to the Whisper House, if you would like. A private evenings retreat? I know it is not very much. I had though jewellery-- though I could not catch Prince Rook early enough to ask to your preference."

Sir Huntley, the Beagle arrives, delivering a message to Katarina before departing.

"A whole Thraxian ship? Is it one of Victus'? Oh, that would be the best gift ever," Katarina's voice practically quivers in excitement at Alarissa's words, her laughter all the brighter at Edain. "Isn't that what you have Caelis and I for? We secretly thought the navy was ours to run with," she jokes, cheeks dimpling with her humored smile before Saedrus' generous offer has her cooing in infectious warmth. "Oh, I've been meaning to go back to the Azure Room. Your gift is perfect, Master Saedrus. Absolutely perfect. I don't suppose a small party there is out of the question?"

Sir Huntley, the Beagle arrives, delivering a message to Katarina before departing.

Spirit, the Tiny Honey Brown Fox Kit arrives, delivering a message to Katarina before departing.

"A Thraxian ship yes, and... one could say that it was one of Victus' ships, yes..." Alarisa being deliberately coy about it with a smile on her face.

Spirit, the Tiny Honey Brown Fox Kit arrives, delivering a message to Katarina before departing.

Saedrus looks to Alarissa, "that is quite the gift, your Grace, and what a charming birthday gift." the Whisper chortles warmly, letting his drink swirl gently in the loose hold of his fingers. "A small party? I am certain something could be organised, your Highness. I would be more than happy to assist. Is there some occasion you are especially keen on?" he asks of Katarina.

Squire Serad Iron Foot have been dismissed.

Timmons, a malicious pygmy goat have been dismissed.

Confessor Imori, 2 Grayson Guardsmen, 5 Armed Confessors, Confessor Warren arrive, following Tikva.

Confessor Imori, 2 Grayson Guardsmen, 5 Armed Confessors, Confessor Warren leave, following Tikva.

Sir Rodrick, a Valardin Knight, Spirit, the Tiny Honey Brown Fox Kit arrive, following Sasha.

Stealing one last hug from the Prince of Sanctum before he has to dash of, Katarina turns her head to look over at Alarissa with an amused smile. "I would make sure to write him a thank you letter personally," she teases. "I bet the look on his face would be priceless. How many swear words do you think he would say?" she asks in good humor, before breathing a quiet hum in consideration to Saedrus. "In all honesty, for the sake of gathering. Something small, to marvel at the beauty of the room in good company," she surmises sidelong.

Sasha checked luck at difficulty 7, rolling 9 higher.

"He's been swearing less since I married him. We have rules and agreements." Alarissa points out. "When he's in Maelstrom though, he is allowed to speak how he wants." Fingers interlace and settle on the swell of her middle as the three of them sit on a generous bench, the birthday party in swing.

Henrik arrives, delivering a message to Katarina before departing.

Henrik arrives, following Sameera.

Sasha manages to not faint in the maze! And happens to make to the party giggling a bit. But the poor dear looks a touch winded as she leans against something or perhaps someone sturdy for a moment to catch her breath. As she sees Alarissa and Katarina she calls out, her hints of exhaustion unable to be hidden as she says "It is wonderful to see you both. Sorry if I am late. Is there any tea?" A warm smile curling her lips.

Rogue, a black falcon arrives, delivering a message to Sasha before departing.

"We will see to something then, you need only send a missive, your Highness." Saedrus assures, a brilliant smile upon his lips. Then it seems there are more people arriving and testing their luck in the maze. "Do not get lost!" Saedrus offers oh so helpfully to the new guests.

Princesses that Sameera likes can get Sameeas to do things she does not enjoy. and in this case it is coming to a party. A bit of an annoyed grunt is given and her voice lifts so KAtarina can hear her, "I am not doing any maze type stuff Princess KAtarina Valardin. I've already done one at one of your parties. Unless I can break through with my hammer."

"Oh, Mangata's --" Katarina does not finish her lament, ending in a vibrant laugh at the surly refusal of her lady's maid in the distance. "If you'll all excuse me a moment," she begins, rising out of her seat with a kiss to Sasha's cheek to go work her own way through the maze to find Sameera. "Yes, you are going to go through this maze and not smash a single thing, Sameera! It's fun, I promise."

Katarina checked luck at difficulty 7, rolling 3 higher.

"Ginger and peach Princess Sasha." Alarissa calls out, beckoning over the other woman, reaching out to stop a passing server to murmur a request to bring some over for Sasha. But someone is yelling for Katarina and talking about using a hammer to get in and Alarissa's looking alarmed as she starts to rise again. "I do not know who you are, but there will be no busting through of any walls with any hammers, are we clear." The Princess Consort of Thrax calls out, raising her voice above the din. Only at the end does realization dawn at who it would be and there's a roll of her eyes and a mutter of Grimhall under her breath when Katarina goes to fetch the woman.

"Mazes are not fun." Sameera informs KAtarina, surly. Upwards her hand lifts to try hauling the massive hammer off her back. "Breaking down things to get through a maze seems a lot more fun." Sameera is extra orny with everything going on that affects her Duke. "If I have to go through the maze, that is your present."

Saedrus blinks when he hears a complaint from Sameera, straightening up in his seat to catch sight of the woman perhaps. Katarina excuses herself, and Saed dips his head to her leave to see the lady's maid. Evergreens quick to turn towards Sasha with a smile, "my Lady." he greets softly.

"Duke Grimhall is beginning to rub off on you entirely too much," Katarina quips in soft humor, leading Sameera back into the heart of the maze in a new direction with very little difficulty, though she seems to enjoy second-guessing only to have to turn around and take an extra few steps just to irritate the woman. "Hell again," she playfully calls to the threesome gathered, trading a surly Grimhall for a masterful Whisper. "Whisper Saedrus, would you care to dance with me? I don't think I've had an opportunity to see just how graceful you were firsthand."

Katarina's quip about Harald /almost/ nets her a smile. Almost. Grumbles are given at Katarina by Sameera, the jeweler tolerating Katarina's antics far more than she would from almost anyone else. She even lets Katarina touch her, should she decide too. Once at the center Sameera finds a spot to park herself. As per usuall, it is a spot that is the furthest away from people. Henrik, who had just been ignoring Sameera's behavior, he's use to it and picks and chooses his battles. To note, /he/ greets everyone properly and correctly.

Spirit, the Tiny Honey Brown Fox Kit arrives, delivering a message to Sameera before departing.

Sasha catches her breath and begins to make her way over to join her cousins with a bright smile. As she sits, she rests back in the seat and says "I am so happy to see you both ever so much. I am sorry I have been holed up in my room with my research once more and my ailment. But I am getting closer to finding my cure. Ever so close." She looks to Sameera and says with a warm smile "It is wonderful to see you as well Sameera. Mazes can be fun sometimes however. Just perhaps not this time?" She smiles to Seadrus and says "Hello dear Whisper." Warmth echoing in all of her words.

Quiet, a Valardin champion have been dismissed.

Aioni, a regal snowy white owl have been dismissed.

"Tell me..." Alarissa leaving Katarina to tend to Sameera since the woman isn't keen on too many people. "The dinner, with Mistress Bliss. How rampant is the clamour to secure an invitation and what in the gods name did the Legate offer, that surpassed mine?" Curiosity is painted on her face, a smile for Sasha at word of something resembling a cure close and closer. "That is good. Then you can bring the books with you when you run along the beach instead of walking it dear Sasha."

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Sasha before departing.

Saedrus perks up in his seat a little when Katarina asks for his hand in a dance, "it would be a pleasure, your Highness." Though, it would seem for the moment Katarina is distracted by the call of other guests and Saedrus' attention falls to Alarissa. "Mm? Your Grace, there is more than one seat, I assure you." He promises, "and I think perhaps, the Legate might have put his Lycene blood to use and wooed our dearest Bliss with charm." A beat, "and what I suspect to be a remarkable gift-- she has not shown me just yet." Saedrus chortles softly. "Though the response has been most impressive, I fear it would be poor of me to assure seats before the final invitations."

"I don't like them. I barely tolerate them for the princess there." to Katarina Sameera tilts her head, "Even when I am annoyed at her, she can usually get me to do something she wishes. I am pretty sure she takes advantage of it."

Sasha grins to Alarissa as she says "I am excited to think of doing that for the first time and many other things. Though... I am curious about this dinner you speak of. I have been buried in my books once more." She then curious listens to Saedrus's words as he speaks. And at Sameera's words she giggles a bit and says "I think she not take advantage. I doubt my cousin would do such things."

A messenger arrives, delivering a message to Sasha before departing.

"Whisper house is holding a dinner, only... seven?" Alarissa looks to Saedrus for confirmation. "Spots. It is promised to be an interesting evening and those who wish to attend, to attempt to secure a seat, have to woo the Whisper Bliss with a gift. Thus far at one point, mine was the one to beat, but it seems the Legate surpassed and I am quite surprised, what would beat a new language." Alarissa laughs a little.

Saedrus smiles with a tip of his head to Sasha, agreement with Alarissa's explaination. "Just that, my Lady," he says happily, looking to Sameera with a curious tilt of his lips. "It has been rather fun, seeing her delight at all that she has had sent to her." said with the same amused doting that an older brother might have watching their little sister open presents at christmas. "Though I admit, your Grace, your present by far had impressed me the most."

Sasha giggles a bit and muses to Alarissa "I know I would be wooed with a new language. I am always seeking to learn more after all. Though I need to focus upon my cure for the time being. But soon I can have the time to spare to learn a new language or two. Ever so soon." To all she says "I already speak quite the amount currently."

Sameera falls silent entirely, now. Katarina is distracted. So, Sameera doesn't feel inclined to fake being social. When Saedrus looks at her the brow of Sameera lifts in question.

"The perks of being the High Lord's wife, a chance to grasp something not yet done so by others. Though I am still learning myself. Though the lessons are not so frequent as they were, and it will take time to become fluent, but fluency will come. But you flatter me. Only because the gift was in turn extended to you as well." The latter is teasing.

The look from Sameera, and tip of her brow, only gets another bright smile from Saedrus. A delicate little bow follows soon after, "I do not believe I have met," he notes, a look cast to Sasha also in that, "either of you actually. Not properly. I am Saedrus Whisper-- as you have likely heard by now." Saedrus chortles to Alarissa, his smile more a cheeky grin then, "ahh, the perks of being a Softest Whisper with charming Whisper's to oversee." He notes of the proxy-gift.

Sasha smiles warmly to Saedrus as she says "My apologies. I am Princess Sasha Valardin. It is a pleasure to meet you Saedrus Whisper. And I am sure it does indeed have such wonderous perks."

"Never heard of you but I don't deal with Whispers anymore. Malik was my Whisper and I'm not a party goer. I only attend those that people who can make me do something asks me too. Sameera Coldrain." Sameera's name is probably familiar since it was said in proclamations recently. While KAtarina is distracted, Sameera clearly looks to be considering if it is a good time to try escaping.

Quiet, a Valardin champion have been dismissed.

Aioni, a regal snowy white owl have been dismissed.

Everyone else introduces tehmselves, sparing Alarissa from having to do the job. "Mistress Coldrain is an esteemed smith, I eblieve my husband is her Patron?" Maybe, Alarissa's fairly unsure. 'And then the Princess Sasha is a consummate scholar, well versed in many subects."

Saedrus smiles to both Sameera and Sasha, "it is a pleasure to meet you both." He says, only to smile a little more to the former. "Ah yes, Malik, he was quite charming." Saedrus nods fondly. With a glance over his drink he regards Sasha, "and a very noble profession to take to you, your Highness. I do not have a great mind, nor one versed in a great many subjects, so I am always quite envious of scholars." He chuckles, looking aside to note his attendant looking his way with a handful of missives. "Ah." Saedrus sighs, "forgive me, your Grace, your Highness and Mistress Sameera. I will have to excuse myself, it has been a lovely evening but I think there are some matters I need to see to. I do hope to have your company at the Bliss' dinner, Princess Alarissa." Saedrus says with a gracious bow before he moves to take his leave, sure to see the birthday girl and promise her a dance at a later date.

Sasha smiles and says to Saedrus "We all have our talents so we can work with those who have the ones we do not. If you are ever indeed of research Softest Whisper, I am but a messenger away and will aid however I can if I am not currently tied up in other research." She then says to Alarissa as she says "Oh I was not aware of that. She is my favored jeweler in Arx however. She made all of the pieces I am currently wearing."

"Then you should go and speak to her." Alariss gestures to Sameera. "I am sure she would be delighted to know that you carry her pieces." Saedrus is departing and there's a dip of her head. "Till then, WHisper Saedrus. Good journey to you."

Sameera gives a pat to her hammer then an exasperated sigh before standing up to escape the maze and go home. She's done with the party. She can only tolerate it so long.
