I met a strange man in the Shrine of the Sentinel recently, a blind sage who called himself Justus. He is an interesting fellow, wise, enigmatic, and certainly more than he lets on. Hopefully I'll get a chance to get to know him better, because every answer he gave me left me with more questions.

Relationship Note on Jasher

I met Prince Jasher recently. I fear I was a somewhat boring conversationalist. I am, however, glad that the prince tolerated me for as long as he did.

I've learned just about all I can about tailoring and woodworking without achieving mastery. Gone are the days of tearing wool to shreds at the Algair pasture. I can work with aeterna and umbra now, and make any kind of furniture I want.

What should I learn next? I find leatherworking intriguing and highly in demand. It's also applicable to my other crafts enough that it's worth pursuing as an addition to them.

I have a personal project to work on regarding my new outfit plans, plenty of commissions to work on one at a time, and new things to learn. I'm ready for everything that entails.

Well, anyone is welcome to a bottle if they take a long term contract out with the Blades. I do not hide that fact. It is an excellent thing made by Master Brew Venturo of Raconteur Brewing. It has a spicey cherry bite to it that you won't find in any other whiskey.

Do not inform the southerners of my good stock. Why don't you give away your Crimson Blade reserve casks, you know the ones...

There is nothing quite like winter. I love it. I miss the cold bite of it. Luckily I and some others made a journey north to Whitehold. Where the snow never quite leaves the area. It was nice to feel the nip on my nose and the cool and fresh smell of snow. There are many who will be moaning come winter in Arx, while I and others will be laughing and keeping warm with our northern savage ways. My suggestion for those who do not look forward to winter? Whiskey. Good northern stuff. Pretty sure Arik brought back a case from Whitehold...

A thing I learned this week was you can, in fact, oversaturate your tea with Limerance's Libertia. While his gift is a wonderful, wonderful thing, it is not so much when the powder forms into a sludge at the bottom of your cup.

The wonderful solution to this is that it blends well into soups, and I am looking into recipes which incorporate the flowers into salads and the like. I am willing to make this sacrifice, go through the meals with the failed taste tests, for the good of Arvum.

And for myself. These stories are terrifying and I want no part of them.

As for the matter of spitting versus swallowing-

I will have to time my next pregnancy a little better.

All the complaints in the whites about the cold remind me I am heavily pregnant and making the trek up to Stormwall soon to birth them, as Crovane custom dictates they will be born on their lands.

Its twins I am sure.

Bliss, for fear you might make your tea too strong I might suggest using it the way I have seen the older Crovane men use wet tobacco products. Just lightly dampen it and put it in your cheek. They spit thought. Dont spit. Always swallow.

Then again you may not want to take advice from a heavily pregnant woman on spitting vs. swallowing. I mean- [Scholars Note: Rest moved to blacks as service to the Compact. You Are All Welcome]

Where I grew up, winter was a an enemy you couldn't defeat, only outlast. It was a constant shadow in other seasons, always looming either in front or behind you. You were always either recovering from winter, or preparing for it, and often enough your preparations, no matter how careful, would still fall short. And the worst decision the elders had to make was always winter camp. A northern camp meant winter was harsher, food scarcer, predators more desperate. A southern camp might make for an easier season, but it brought you into possible competition with other wintering tribes, and very possibly Redrain scouts or soldiers. At best you might have to move camp mid-winter if their patrols threatened to stumble onto you. That's how we ended up having to eat most of our horses one year.

I'll say this about winter though, it actually makes Fen de Lire bearable.

I see not a lot of you are a fan of the winter as I am. That's fine.

But if any of you see me trudging ass naked through the shore at moonlight, don't be blaming anybody but your fucking selves. You made me prove this point.

Perhaps it's because I'm a plush-figured woman, wealthy in hips and padded in fat, but I find myself quite enjoying the cold. It also gets me lots of long-lasting hugs that follow me indoors, sometimes even in public, past the boundaries of what is considered 'appropriate' or 'necessary'. Especially when it's cold? I don't mind this, just don't do it to me in the middle of meetings.

Every day for a long time now, a little more of me has been chipped and chiseled away. I don't have any fucking words for how to say what I'm feeling. Moira was a big piece of my childhood and who I was. She was like a sister.

I hate sad, mopey, white journals about mourning but right now I don't care how much of a hypocrite I am. You can all suffer with me and that's just damned fine. I don't give two steamy fresh shits about it.

When I find out who was behind this -- and I fully intend to find out -- it's going to be far messier to clean up. I have a very creative imagination when I apply it to something I'm passionate about, and right now I'm extremely passionate about making them suffer.

Relationship Note on Etienne

How good it is to welcome my brother, no longer Brother, but Blessed, Etienne to the Capital as he assumes his duties as the archlector of Gild.

All three of Lucas Telmar's boys, Corban, Tovell, and Etienne, now serve the Crown directly in our own way.

I hope he would be proud of us.
