Day 17,
I found it, the perfect spot for my shop. It would be right outside the Seliki manor in the Triumph Plaza, even Lord Kaldur said he would look into helping me get the proper permits. And with this loan from the Crafters Guild I am all set to finally get my hands back into a forge. Also they do duels here, but not like the ones I am used too, these seem to be bouts of honor with no one actually dying as well as it being refereed. I may have to watch one to see why people are so excited about them.

Finaly! I have figured out my way around the Grayson grounds, I found the local pub called the Badger Boardinghouse. Met a Knight there, Sir Jordan is a good man, a little overly friendly from what I am used to from people of his rank but I guess that is the way this city is. I can't say I don't like it, better than...home? Can I really call it home if I never want to go back there?

I am rather well pleased to see that my protege is so well liked by those whose opinions I give credit to. I did not know of her public perception when I extended the offer and it is unsurprising but a welcome realization. Also for other patrons who wish their proteges to endear themselves to the public in some manner might I suggest a giant puppy? Kittens are too controversial for general appeal I am afraid.

Olin finally cornered me in the Pearl Gardens and told me to get some better clothes so I don't embarrass her and of course Lord Kaldur. So I made my way to meet a fellow named Kaine. His shop had a bit of everything in it but he promised fine clothes, even if they are only cotton and not that seasilk I saw.. Now at least I can look respectable when I get my shop open.

Jogging at 5am is the mark of a true tormenter - or at least a true advocate for such things. I hurt all over, cousin, though I admit some of that may well be from my ill-fated gauntlet attempt. Still, I was curious to try, and I am amazed I managed to climb that wall. Even if the rest of the obstacles clearly outmatched me.

It has been a very full week. The Crimson Blades ranks continue to fill out. We continue to receive contracts and inquiries. Some of that I attribute to what is happening in the lowers. Murder tends to make people want to protect themselves better. It's grim, but it is true. I only hope that the culprit(s) are caught soon. This week I finally got word that Lord Tobias was at least alive two weeks ago. That should bring relief to a few people, myself included. So I will continue to lead the Blades as he commanded.

Working on stocking the store so I can have a opening, its taken longer then I thought it would.
I find myself growing angry over it and I remind myself it is not worth losing my temper over.

I found a leatherworker finally who can make me a new set of leathers for hunting. It's not so cold down here, and I think I might end up dying from being overly warm in the ones brought from home.
Shopkeeper Oliver also said he's a tailor, so I may bring the items I received from the clothing swap, to see if he can make me some matching pieces to the tunics and leggings that I picked up.
I was never one to care about clothing, but here in the city, I am learning that one wishes to appear nicely dressed for you never know whom you might run into.

I'm kicking myself for missing Princess Alarissa's 1st Annual Gauntlet Competition, but I'm glad the event seemed to be a big success.
